Dr. Greg Hawkins knew that dentistry was his calling after his own dentist helped him deal with a bad oral health situation as a child. He realized that he wanted to do the same for others and started on the track to becoming a dentist. Dr. Hawkins attended Holly Pond High School, then went on to Auburn University where he completed his undergraduate studies by 1983. He graduated from the University of Alabama School of Dentistry in 1988. Since then, he has been a practicing dentist, working closely with his patients to treat their conditions and provide them with long-lasting solutions.

As children, we lose our primary teeth as a natural part of growing up. However, as adults, losing teeth means poor oral health. The advanced stage of gum disease leads to major tooth loss. Since losing teeth at adulthood isn’t natural, this means problems. You could have problems with nutritional intake. Problems speaking clearly may develop. Finally, you could risk negative changes to your smile alignment, or even your facial structure. You need an amazing Aetna dentist in Moulton, AL who can correct your tooth loss. Fortunately, Doctors Network can help you on the road to a full smile.

First, we will connect you to a skilled dentist in your area. After that, your new dentist can inspect your smile to assess your missing teeth. For minor cases, a dental bridge could be the best option, addressing one to three lost teeth in a row. For several missing teeth, partial dentures could offer a solution and restore bite function. Finally, a complete set of dentures could be prescribed. While most fulls and partial dentures are removable, they could be stablized with tooth implants. Dental implants essentially look and function like natural teeth, and stimulate bone preservation in your maxilla and mandible and facial structure following missing a tooth.

If you live in the Moulton‘s proximity and have lost your natural teeth, let us help. We can get you started on receiving a dental prosthetic. Model-worthy teeth are within reach, even if you’ve suffered complete tooth loss, and even if many years have elapsed since that happened!

P. S. Please celebrate our dental surgeons in Nashville, TN with us this week.

Nothing feels better than showing off a perfect smile, but as we get older, most of us struggle with missing teeth. Missing teeth could lead to difficulty with eating and speaking, and can even lead to bone loss in the jaw. To treat tooth loss, people often turn to implants and fixed dentures. Unlike traditional prosthetics, such as dentures or fixed partial dentures, these are connected to posts that act as new roots. Crowns or even prosthetics like dentures are locked into these implant posts. These then act as new roots, so your new teeth can last not ten years, but several decades with proper care and attention.

Are you ready to tackle your tooth loss with dental implants? If you are wondering how much dental implants cost near Moulton, you are not alone, but firstly, you should find a Moulton dentist who can offer tooth replacement. Doctors Network can help you with this, connecting you to a dentist who not only can address your concerns about missing teeth, but also accepts Aetna. Same-day appointments are usually available. You can even register for a Doctors Network dental plan to decrease the cost of your procedure.

The dentist will take a close look at your smile. Underlying oral health concerns may need to be treated before moving forward. But once completed, your dental implants will offer quality prosthetics that look and function like natural ones!

A lot happens to our smile when we lose natural teeth. Obviously, there are problems with eating your favorite foods. Even speaking clearly could be a problem. However, the major problem is the loss of mass and density in the jaw. This weakens the jaw, and could even cause a prematurely aged appearance. More importantly, this limits dental implant placement. Additional treatments could be necessary to strengthen the jaw in order to prepare the gum for dental implants! Fortunately, Doctors Network could link you to a local Moulton dentist who is in-network with Aetna and provides ridge augmentation. In addition, we could also discuss our payment plans to make dental care affordable!

Jawbone grafting is also referred to as ridge augmentation. Essentially this enables the dentist to restore the lost structure in your mandible. Your dentist could use a number of different options. We could take tissue from the back of the jaw or the hip. Donor materials such as freeze-dried bovine bone particles could be employed as well. Others recommend synthetic materials. During oral surgery, these are applied to the areas of weakened structure in the mandible.

Once the area heals, one or more dental implants could be placed. The body will accept them as natural roots. As a result, they help prevent any further breakdown in the jaw, preserving your smile. Our team can connect you to a dentist or oral surgeon in Moulton, AL who offers this surgical procedure, and also let you know about our dental plan to make sure your treatment fits your budget!

Tooth loss could lead to multiple complications for your smile. For example, this could impact how easily you eat your favorite foods, or how clearly you can talk. But the most serious complication is the break down of structure in the jaw. The body suspends the flow of calcium, phosphate, and other minerals to the areas without teeth, which in turn causes bone loss and the loss of youthful facial structure and weakens the structure significantly. Which means you may not be able to receive dental implants to address lost teeth. But Doctors Network can connect you with a dentist in Moulton, AL who can make smiles ready for implants.

As discussed in previous posts, a bone grafting procedure helps strengthen the mandible, so it can support dental implants. But what about the the upper area? Instead of grafting, your Moulton dentist could perform a sinus lift. Essentially, the dentist will push up the sinus floor to generate new support structure. The new structure can support your new implants. Once the new teeth are secured, this stimulates the growth of bone tissue to prevent further breakdowns. Your new teeth then stay firm for decades, possibly even a lifetime.

If you need to strengthen your weakened upper jawbone to support one or more dental implants, we could help. Our team can connect you with a Moulton, AL dentist who can provide these services and takes Aetna. When your smile is strengthened and ready, dental implants could provide a complete smile again. If you don’t have insurance, don’t let this stand between you and optimal oral health. Instead, talk to our team about our Direct Dental Plan. With a monthly fee, you can have treatments discounted by as much as 90% in some situations. A full smile is possible again!

Have you lost the majority of your natural teeth? If so, this could mean major problems for your smile, from trouble eating a variety of foods, to difficulties with clear speech. Your jaw loses density and mass following tooth loss, which could lead to further tooth loss. In some cases, a breakdown in the facial structures could develop as well. You could benefit from implant dentures not only to replace missing teeth, but also to preserve your youthful features. But what if your jaw is too weak for a set of implant-secured dentures? Then Doctors Network can recommend a Moulton cosmetic dentist who specializes in dental implant placement.

Most fixed dentures need between 6 and 8 implant fixtures per arch. But with All-on-4, only four small posts are necessary. Even if your jaw is too weak for a traditional system this could still support a full set of tooth replacement. No need to undergo bone ridge preservation beforehand! These can also often be placed with a denture connected to them on the same visit. In fact, these are often known as Teeth-In-A-Day. Our team can help find best Aetna dentists in Moulton who can provide you with a new smile. You can even book an online dental visit.

If you have concerns regarding the cost of dental implants, then consider signing up for our Direct Dental Plan. This membership program allows you to pay a small monthly fee, which is set by your dentist, to save significantly on the cost of cosmetic dentistry. This helps our Moulton patients find affordable dental care, and smile with confidence once again.

Over 16% of Alabama residents are over the age of 65, while almost 23% are under the age of 18. For both age groups, personalized dental care is especially important. Older patients often require restoration or prosthodontic care to replace lost teeth; younger patients may need additional ongoing preventive measures, such as orthodontics, to avoid more serious issues later in life. On top of routine general dental care, treatment for seniors and children can cause the costs of your family’s dental care to skyrocket. Fortunately, Doctors Network offers families throughout Alabama a highly affordable alternative to managing dental care costs with a direct dental plan.
