dental-implants-or-bridge

As children, we lose our deciduous teeth as our smile develops. However, in adulthood, losing teeth is often due to injury. Periodontitis could be responsible as well. Since missing teeth at adulthood isn’t natural, this means oral health complications. You could have difficulties with nutritional intake. Problems articulating are a common consequence. Finally, you could risk negative changes to your smile alignment, or even your facial structure. You need a permanent Aetna dentist in Moose Pass, AK who can provide prosthetic dentistry. Fortunately, Doctors Network can help locate one.

First, we will help connect you to an amazing dentist in your location who accepts your insurance. Once we do, your new dentist can inspect your smile to assess your missing teeth. For less severe cases, a dental bridge could be placed, addressing one to three lost teeth in a row. For several missing teeth, partials could offer a solution and rebuild your smile. Finally, a complete set of dentures could be custom-made. While most fulls and partials are removable, they could be secured with long-lasting dental implants. Dental implants essentially look and function like natural teeth, and prevent negative changes to your mandible and maxilla and facial structure following missing a tooth.

If you live in the Moose Pass area and have unsightly gaps in your smile, let us help. We can help you get started on receiving bridges or dentures. A full smile is possible, even if you’ve lost all of your teeth, and even if years have gone by since that happened!

P. S. Please congratulate our dental surgeons in Nashville, TN with us this week.

Nothing feels better than an attractive smile, but as we age, many of us struggle with tooth loss. Missing teeth could lead to trouble with eating and speaking, and can even lead to an older appearance. To treat missing teeth, people often turn to implants and fixed dentures. Unlike traditional prosthetics, such as dentures or fixed partial dentures, these are connected to posts that act as new roots. Crowns or even prosthetics like full and partial dentures are securely attached to these implant posts. These then act as new roots, so your new teeth can last not ten years, but several decades with proper care and attention.

Are you ready to tackle your tooth loss with dental implants? If you are wondering how much dental implants cost in Moose Pass, you are not alone, but first, you need to find a Moose Pass dentist who can offer tooth replacement. Doctors Network’s search tool can help you with this, connecting you to a dentist who not only can address your concerns about missing teeth, but also takes Aetna. You can even sign up for a Doctors Network dental plan to decrease the cost of your procedure.

The dentist will assess the state of your smile. Underlying issues such as periodontitis may need to be treated before moving forward. But once completed, your dental implants will offer replacement teeth that look and function like natural dentition!

A lot happens to our smile when we lose natural teeth. Obviously, there are problems with eating a variety of meals. Even clear speech could be a problem. However, the major problem is the loss of mass and density in the jaw. This weakens the jaw, and could even cause an older appearance. More importantly, this limits dental implant placement. Additional treatments could be necessary to strengthen the jaw in order to make dental implant placement possible! Fortunately, Doctors Network could help you find a local Moose Pass oral surgeon who is in-network with Aetna and provides ridge augmentation. In addition, we could also discuss our membership program to make care affordable!

Jawbone grafting is also referred to as ridge augmentation. Essentially this enables the dentist to restore the lost structure in your mandible. Your dentist could use various sources. Tissue could be taken from the back of the jaw or the hip. Donor materials like bovine bone could be employed as well. We could also recommend synthetic materials. Through oral surgery, these are applied to the areas of weakened structure in the mandible bone.

Once the area heals, one or more dental implants could be placed. The body will see them as natural structures. As a result, they help prevent any further breakdown in the jaw, allowing long-lasting tooth replacement. Our team can connect you to a dentist in Moose Pass, AK who offers this surgical procedure, and also let you know about our membership plan to make sure your treatment fits in your budget!

Tooth loss could lead to multiple complications for your smile. For example, this could impact your meal options, or how clearly you can speak. But the most severe complication is the loss of mass and density in the jaw. The body suspends the flow of calcium and phosphate to the areas without tooth roots, which in turn causes bone loss and the loss of youthful facial structure and weakens the structure significantly. Which means you may not be able to receive dental implants to address lost teeth. But Doctors Network can connect you with a dentist in Moose Pass, AK who can make smiles ready for implants.

As we’ve discussed in previous posts, a ridge augmentation procedure helps strengthen the mandible, so it can support dental implants. But what about the upper arch? Instead of grafting, your Moose Pass dentist could perform a sinus lift. Essentially, the dentist will push up the sinus floor to generate new bone structure. The new structure can support your new implants. Once the new teeth are secured, this stimulates the growth of bone tissue to keep your jaw secure. Your new teeth can then stay firm for decades, possibly even a lifetime.

If you need to strengthen your weakened upper jawbone to support a new smile, we could help. Our team can connect you with a Moose Pass, AK dental professional who can provide these services and takes Aetna. When your smile is strengthened and ready, dental implants could provide a full smile again. If you don’t have insurance, don’t let this stand between you and good oral health. Instead, talk to our team about our financing option. With our Direct Dental Plan, you can have treatments discounted by as much as 90% in some situations. A full smile is possible again!

It is paramount for your little ones to visit a dental professional bi-yearly for exams and cleanings. By teaching kids great oral health habits, you are ensuring that they have the knowledge to have healthy smiles for ever. If you are looking for a pediatric dental professional in Moose Pass who takes Aetna, you are on the right website.

In addition to offering checkups and cleanings, dentists on Doctors Network also provide your little one with dental sealants. These are small pieces of BPA-free acrylic that dentists paint onto their molars. They work as a protective film that forms a barrier between their back teeth and harmful germs. This ultimately prevents the risk of cavities by up to 80%. It is a simple service that is very effective at preventing cavities on adult teeth in the future.

Fluoride treatments are another great tool that your kids’ dentists provide. Fluoride is a natural mineral that helps fortify your children’s enamel. While enamel is one of the most protective substances our bodies produce, it can still weaken over time. When this occurs, your child’s teeth become more susceptible to dental caries. Fluoride treatment helps stop decay from occurring. Using toothpaste that has fluoride can also help. To learn more, we invite you to schedule an appointment with one of our pediatric dentists in Moose Pass.
