When a tooth develops an infection, treatment is required. Not seeking care means the tooth could essentially die. At this stage, the tooth might require extraction. Otherwise, the infection moves into surrounding teeth. Often, the ideal treatment for an infected tooth is an endodontic treatment. The procedure is effective, but sometimes a root canalled tooth becomes infected again and requires additional care. You may need to see one of our Moose Pass dentists for further treatments.

Root canal treatment involves removing the tissues from the inside and root canals. The interiors and root canals are cleaned with care, and a restorative material known as gutta-percha is then applied to the interior. Often, the tooth is then capped with a tooth crown. The restoration is often custom-made to protect the tooth and also match the rest of the smile. But if the procedure is not successful, the health of the tooth could be unpredictable. The tooth could begin developing symptoms, such as toothaches and complications with eating. If you experience this type of discomfort, do not risk the loss of your teeth. Doctors Network can connect you with an emergency dentist in Moose Pass, AK that can offer additional treatment and accepts Aetna.

If you don’t have dental insurance don’t let that discourage you! Doctors Network can offer a membership plan to make dental care budget-friendly. With a monthly membership fee, you can undergo necessary root canal retreatment without breaking the bank!

When a tooth is decayed, it could become an infected tooth. The presence of an abscessed tooth means serious discomfort, and without treatment, it could lead to missing teeth. This is why your tooth may need root canal therapy. Fortunately, there are options available to bring relief. Our network can help connect you to a Moose Pass dental professional for lifelike restorative care. We can also help find a restorative dentist that accepts Aetna.

A dental abscess means that harmful anaerobic bacteria have made contact with the inner pulp. The pulp is the nerve center of the tooth, and it keeps the tooth healthy. Lack of intervention for an abscess could allow tooth loss. A common warning sign of trouble could include sensitivity. Don’t ignore unexplained discomfort. Talk to our team about finding a Moose Pass endodontist who accepts Aetna and other dental insurance plans.

A root canal procedure is a gentle endodontic treatment that can be completed in one sitting. Essentially, after the root canal specialist examines the tooth, the carious tooth structures are removed from within. The interior of the tooth is cleaned, and gutta percha is added. The last step involves capping the tooth with a porcelain or gold crown. The crown is designed to protect the tooth and appear esthetically pleasing. This procedure stops the spread of infection.

Good dental hygiene habits can help lower your risk of future cavities and dental infections. Dental exams help as well. If you’re looking for treatment in Moose Pass for an infected tooth, contact Doctors Network or request an online appointment. You have options, and we know how to find practices that accept Aetna.

It is crucial for kids to visit a pediatric dentist bi-yearly for dental visits and cleanings. By teaching children preventative measures to protect their teeth, you are ensuring that they have the tools to have healthy smiles for life. If you are looking for a pediatric dental office in Moose Pass who accepts Aetna, you are on the right website.

In addition to offering exams and cleanings, pediatric dentists on Doctors Network also provide your kid with dental sealants. These are small pieces of BPA-free acrylic that dentists paint onto their molars. They work as a protective film that forms a protective layer between their permanent teeth and harmful bacteria. This ultimately prevents the risk of dental caries by up to eighty percent. It is a simple treatment that is very effective at preventing cavities in the future.

Fluoride treatments are another proven tool that your pediatric dentists provide. Fluoride is a naturally occurring mineral that helps bolster your child’s teeth. While enamel is one of the most durable substances our bodies produce, it can still weaken over time. When this occurs, your little one’s teeth become more susceptible to decay. Fluoride treatment prevents this from happening. Using toothpaste that has fluoride can also help. For more information, we invite you to schedule an appointment with one of our dental practices in Moose Pass.

Many people would be elated to have a whiter smile. When you venture down the aisles of any grocery store, you see myriad products that tout their teeth whitening abilities. If you have used any of these, you know that they almost always provide disappointing results. However, professional tooth whitening can actually produce a brighter smile. If you are looking for a dentist in Moose Pass, AK that works with Aetna, we can help you find one that offers professional tooth whitening.

When you visit your Moose Pass dental care provider, they can provide you with either an in-office or at-home treatment. With the in-office option, you will typically be out within about an hour, and you will have noticeably whiter teeth. When you visit the office for whitening, your dentist will apply a special bleaching gel that, when activated by a special light, will get rid of stains.

If you would prefer to get whitening from the comfort of your home, your dentist will give you a set of custom trays that you can use along with a safe peroxide solution. You will put these on for a few hours each day for approximately 2 weeks. Once this treatment is over, you will have a whiter smile. If you would like to request a visit with a Moose Pass dentist that accepts Aetna, we can help you find the best ones.

If it has been at least half a year since you last visited a dentist, you should schedule an appointment soon. Once your cleaning is over, your Moose Pass dentist will begin his or her examination. During this portion of your consultation, the dentist will thoroughly look at your teeth to identify any potential complications.
