Major problems arise when we lose natural teeth. Obviously, there are problems with eating your favorite foods. Even talking clearly could be a problem. However, the major problem is the loss of structure in the jaw. This weakens the jaw, and could even cause an older appearance. More importantly, this limits dental implant placement. Additional treatments could be necessary to strengthen the jaw in order to make dental implant placement possible! Fortunately, Doctors Network could help you find a great Somis oral and maxillofacial surgeon who is in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield and provides jawbone grafting. In addition, we could also discuss our membership program to make dental care affordable!

Bone grafting is also referred to as ridge augmentation. Essentially this enables the dentist to restore the lost structure in your gums. Your dentist could use a number of different options. We could take tissue from the back of the jaw or the hip. Donor materials such as bovine bone particles could also be used. Others recommend synthetic materials. Through oral surgery, these are applied to the areas of weakened structure in the lower jaw.

Once the area heals, biocompatible dental implants could be placed. The body will see them as natural structures. As a result, they help prevent any further breakdown in the jaw, preserving your smile. Our team can connect you to a dentist or oral surgeon in Somis, CA who performs jawbone grafting, and also let you know about our dental discount plan to make sure your care fits your budget!

Tooth loss could lead to several problems for your smile. For example, this could impact how easily you eat your favorite foods, or how clearly you can articulate. But the most serious complication is the loss of mass and density in the jaw. The body suspends the flow of calcium and phosphate to the areas without tooth roots, which in turn causes bone loss and an aged appearance and weakens the structure significantly. Which means you may not be able to receive dental implants to address lost teeth. But Doctors Network can connect you with a dentist in Somis, CA who can shore up your jaw.

As we’ve discussed in previous posts, a ridge augmentation procedure helps strengthen the lower jaw, so it can support dental implants. But what about the upper arch? Instead of grafting, your Somis dentist could perform a sinus lift. Basically, the dentist will push up the sinus floor to generate new support structure. The new structure can support dental implants. Once the new teeth are secured, this stimulates the growth of bone tissue to prevent further breakdowns. Your new teeth then stay in place for years, possibly even a lifetime.

If you need to strengthen your weakened jawbone to support a new smile, we could help. Our team can connect you with a Somis, CA dentist who can address tooth loss and takes Blue Cross Blue Shield. When your smile is strengthened and ready, dental implants could provide a whole smile again. If you don’t have dental insurance, don’t let this stand between you and optimal oral health. Instead, talk to our team about our financing option. With our Direct Dental Plan, you can have treatments discounted by as much as 90% in some situations. A full smile can happen!

It is imperative for children to visit a pediatric dentist every six months for exams and cleanings. By teaching kids great oral health habits, you are ensuring that they have the knowledge to have healthy smiles for many years. If you are looking for a pediatric dental office in Somis who takes Blue Cross Blue Shield, you are on the right website.

In addition to offering checkups and cleanings, dentists on Doctors Network also provide your child with sealants. These are small pieces of BPA-free acrylic that dentists paint onto their molars. They work as a protective film that forms a barrier between their permanent teeth and harmful germs. This ultimately prevents the risk of infection by up to eighty percent. It is a simple treatment that is very effective at preventing cavities in the future.

Fluoride treatments are another great tool that your kids’ dentists provide. Fluoride is a naturally occurring mineral that helps fortify your child’s teeth. While enamel is one of the most durable substances our bodies produce, it can still weaken over time. When this occurs, your little one’s teeth become more susceptible to cavities. Fluoride treatment helps stop decay from occurring. Using toothpaste that has fluoride can also help. For more information, please schedule an appointment with one of our dental practices in Somis.

Many people would prefer to have a whiter smile. When you venture down the aisles of any drug store, you see countless products that tout their teeth whitening abilities. If you have tried any of these, you know that they almost always provide lackluster results. However, professional teeth whitening can actually produce a brighter smile. If you are looking for a dentist in Somis, CA that takes Blue Cross Blue Shield, we can help you find one that offers professional teeth whitening.

When you visit your Somis dental care provider, they can provide you with either an in-office or even at-home option. With the in-office option, you will typically be out within about an hour, and you will have noticeably whiter teeth. For this option, your dentist will apply a gel solution to your teeth that they will then activate with a special light, to remove stains.

If you would prefer to get an at-home treatment, your dentist will give you a set of custom trays that you can use along with a safe peroxide or bleaching solution. You will put these on for a few hours each day for about two weeks. Once this treatment is over, you will have a brighter smile. If you would like to schedule a consultation online with a Somis dentist that takes Blue Cross Blue Shield, we can help you find the best ones.

If it has been at least half a year since you last saw a dentist, you should schedule a checkup soon. When you go in for regular visits, your dentist can closely examine your teeth to make sure nothing is wrong. This helps prevent carious lesions from occurring, minimizing the chance of needing more expensive procedures at a later time. If you are looking for a dentist in Somis, CA that accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield we can help you find a great match.

When you visit your dentist for a checkup, they will start with a thorough cleaning. This will remove built-up that is difficult to remove at home — even with terrific brushing and flossing habits. The dental cleaning will leave your teeth feeling fresh and rejuvenated.

Once your cleaning is completed, your Somis dentist will begin his or her examination. During this portion of your consultation, the dentist will thoroughly look at your mouth to identify any potential problems. Should they notice something awry, they will explain your treatment options. The Somis dental practice we set you up with will offer comprehensive services to address a variety of dental complications. If you attend regularly scheduled checkups they can monitor the health of your mouth. If you have any questions or would like to schedule an appointment online with a dentist that accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield, we can help you find a great one.

I'm a freelancer, so I can't buy insurance easily, so I always ended up paying a lot for doctors' visits. I signed up for a Doctors Network dental plan, and my dental cleanings cost only $25 now. If you don't have dental insurance I highly recommend it.
