A common reason to look for a dentist is to address pain in one or more teeth. While temporary aches could occur for many different reasons, including sinus concerns, one that persists for more than a day could be a sign of a deeper problem. For example, a lasting tooth pain could be caused by tooth decay, the early stages of a dental infection, or as a result of weakened enamel due to teeth grinding. When you have an aching tooth that does not subside, you probably need a tooth-filling. Doctors Network can help connect you to a dentist in the Leighton, AL community who takes Blue Cross Blue Shield!

When the dental professional examines your teeth, imaging technology is used to assess the severity of the cavity. From there, the appropriate treatment option is chosen. For kids and adults alike, a tooth-filling made from biocompatible material could bring relief. A dental crown could also be used to address major cavities. When possible, the dentist will take steps to utilize more lifelike options, so they offer a natural appearance. If you have an aching tooth, use our search module to connect with Leighton dentists who take walk-ins and book an appointment.

Have you ever noticed popping or crackling sound in the jaw? Do you have aching jaw and facial pain? If so, this could be related to widespread jaw joint disorders. Around 25 million people in the United States suffer from TMJ disorder or bruxism. Without treatment, these could not just cause jaw pain, but actually crack or chip a tooth! Fortunately, your friends at Doctors Network can help you find a dental office in Leighton, AL who accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield.

While very different from one another, these two disorders are often related. TMJ disorder develops when the jaw joints undergo excessive strain. This could cause problems with jaw function. Common symptoms include pain in the jaw, head, and neck. Bruxism means you suffer from nightly teeth grinding. The pressure of clenching could cause jaw pain. Teeth grinding could also weaken and damage the tooth structure. This damage could lead to decay, infection, and more. Both disorders could be caused by issues that upset bite balance, and untreated TMJ disorder could cause bruxism, and vice-versa. When you have chronic pain in your head and neck, you should find help. We can even connect you with a dentist in Leighton who accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield.

There are, however, multiple treatment options available; for some, relief is possible following crown placement, which improves bite balance. For others, treating misalignment with orthodontic treatment could ease strain and stop symptoms. The most common option offered by most dental professionals is an oral appliance, which fits like a nightguard. If you need to find treatment from a Leighton dentist. then contact our team!

Do you have a severely decayed tooth that requires attention? If so, the placement of a dental crown could treat your concerns. The dental crown is custom-made for your dentition and can give back beauty and health to your smile. Our team can help connect you to a Leighton, AL dentist who can restore your teeth, and also who will accept Blue Cross Blue Shield. Don’t risk an abscessed tooth!

One of the first signs of trouble could be an aching tooth. This could be due to the presence of decayed teeth. As tooth sensitivity worsens, you could risk the spread of infection or even the loss of your tooth. A trauma that breaks a tooth could also lead to complications like infection and tooth decay with time. In these situations, restorative treatment could save the tooth. If the problem is too severe for a dental filling, then you may need a full dental restoration.

The crown is a complete dental restoration. Once placed, this will cover the entire visible portion of your tooth. They could be made from biocompatible materials like metal. However, most cosmetic dentists in the Leighton, AL area offer more aesthetic options made from ceramic. The total placement process takes two individual appointments. The crown, whether we use a metal or more aesthetic options, will be custom-made for your smile. The custom nature of this dental prosthetic ensures a balanced occlusion, protecting your dentition from the development of TMD. If you have a tooth that needs restoration then talk to Doctors Network. We can help you find the dental practices that fit your needs and accept Blue Cross Blue Shield.

It is essential for kids to visit a pediatric dentist twice a year for exams and cleanings. By teaching children preventative measures to protect their teeth, you are ensuring that they have the knowledge to have healthy smiles for many years. If you are looking for a dental office in Leighton who takes Blue Cross Blue Shield, you are on the right website.

In addition to offering checkups and cleanings, dentists on Doctors Network also provide your kid with dental sealants. These are thin pieces of film that go over their molars. They work as a protective film that forms a shield between their permanent teeth and germs. This ultimately prevents the risk of tooth decay by up to eighty percent. It is a simple treatment that is very effective at preventing cavities on adult teeth in the future.

Fluoride treatments are another effective tool that your dentists provide. Fluoride is a naturally occurring mineral that helps strengthen your child’s enamel. While enamel is one of the most durable substances our bodies produce, it can still weaken over time. When this occurs, your child’s teeth become more susceptible to cavities. Fluoride treatment helps stop decay from occurring. Using high-fluoride toothpaste can also help. For more information, we encourage you to schedule an appointment with one of our dental practices in Leighton.

Many individuals would be elated to have a whiter smile. When you venture down the aisles of any pharmacy, you see countless products that promote their teeth whitening abilities. If you have used any of these, you know that they almost always provide lackluster results. However, professional teeth whitening can actually produce a brighter smile. If you are looking for a dentist in Leighton, AL that accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield, we can help you find one that offers professional whitening.

When you visit your Leighton dental practice, they can provide you with either an in-office or at-home treatment. Should you opt for treatment in the office, you will only have to stay for roughly an hour. When you come in, your dentist will apply a bleaching gel to your front teeth that is then activated with a specialized light that removes discoloration.

If you would prefer to get an at-home treatment, your dentist will give you a set of custom trays that you can fill with a safe whitening solution. You will put these on for one or two hours each day for roughly two weeks. Once this treatment is complete, you will have a brighter smile. If you would like to request a visit online with a Leighton dentist that takes Blue Cross Blue Shield, we can help you find a fantastic one.

Over 16% of Alabama residents are over the age of 65, while almost 23% are under the age of 18. For both age groups, personalized dental care is especially important. Older patients often require restoration or prosthodontic care to replace lost teeth; younger patients may need additional ongoing preventive measures, such as orthodontics, to avoid more serious issues later in life. On top of routine general dental care, treatment for seniors and children can cause the costs of your family’s dental care to skyrocket. Fortunately, Doctors Network offers families throughout Alabama a highly affordable alternative to managing dental care costs with a direct dental plan.
