A common reason to search for a dentist is to address pain in one or more teeth. While temporary aches could occur for many different reasons, including sinus concerns or changes in elevation, one that persists for more than a day could mean trouble. For example, a persistent toothache could be caused by dental caries, the early stages of a dental abscess, or as a result of weakened tooth structure due to teeth grinding. When you have an aching tooth that does not subside, you probably need a tooth-filling. Doctors Network can help you find a dentist in the Point Clear, AL community who takes Blue Cross Blue Shield!

When the dental professional examines you, digital x-rays are used to assess the severity of the cavity. From there, a dental restoration is chosen. For kids and adult patients alike, a dental filling made from a composite resin could bring relief. A dental cap or crown could also be used to treat more severe cases. When possible, the dentist will take steps to utilize more lifelike options, so they ensure an attractive smile. If you have a toothache, use our search page to find Point Clear emergency dentists and request an appointment.

Have you ever noticed popping or cracking when you open your mouth? Do you have aching jaw and facial pain? If so, this could be related to widespread jaw joint disorders. Around 25 million people in the United States suffer from TMJ disorder or bruxism. Without treatment, these could not only lead to painful symptoms, but actually damage the teeth too! Fortunately, your friends at Doctors Network can connect you to a dentist in Point Clear, AL who accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield.

While very different from one another, we often find these are related. TMJ disorder develops when the the temporomandibular joints become strained. This could cause problems with jaw function. Common symptoms include pain in the face, head and neck, and jaw. Bruxism means you often grind your teeth or clench your jaw. The pressure of clenching could cause jaw pain. Teeth grinding could also damage teeth. This damage could lead to cavities, infection, and more. Both disorders could be caused by issues that upset bite balance, and untreated TMJ disorder could lead to bruxism, and vice-versa. When you have frequent discomfort in your head and neck, you should find help. We can even connect you with a dentist in Point Clear who accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield.

There are, however, multiple treatment options available; for some, relief is possible following recontouring, which improves bite balance. For others, treating misalignment with aligners or braces could ease strain and stop symptoms. The most common option offered by most dentists is a custom splint, which fits like a mouthguard. If you need to find treatment from a Point Clear dentist. then contact our team!

Do you have a severely decayed tooth that requires attention? If so, the placement of a dental crown could treat your concerns. The restoration is custom-made for your dentition and can provide function, health, and beauty to your smile. Our team can help connect you to a Point Clear, AL dentist who can restore your smile, and also who will accept Blue Cross Blue Shield. Do not risk an abscessed tooth!

One of the initial signs of trouble could be an aching tooth. This could be due to the presence of decayed teeth. As toothache worsens, you could risk worsening infection or even the loss of your tooth. A trauma that fractures a tooth could also lead to complications like infection with time. In these situations, restorative treatment could stop discomfort. If the problem is too severe for a tooth-colored filling, then you may need crown placement.

The dental crown is a full restoration. Once placed, this will cover the entire outer tooth structure. They could be made from strong materials like metal alloys. However, lots of dentists in the Point Clear, AL area offer more natural options entirely made from resin. The total placement process takes one to two visits on average. The dental crown, whether we use a metal or more lifelike options, will be custom-made for your smile. The custom nature of this dental prosthetic helps ensure a balanced occlusion, protecting your smile from the onset of bruxism. If you have a tooth that needs treatment then talk to Doctors Network. We can help you find the dental offices that meet your needs and take Blue Cross Blue Shield.

It is crucial for your little ones to visit a pediatric dentist on a semiannual basis for exams and cleanings. By teaching children how to take care of their teeth, you are ensuring that they have the tools to have healthy smiles for life. If you are looking for a kids dentist in Point Clear who accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield, you are on the right website.

In addition to offering exams and cleanings, pediatric dentists on Doctors Network also provide your kid with dental sealants. These are thin pieces of film that go over their molars. They work as a protective film that forms a shield between their molars and bacteria. This ultimately prevents the risk of tooth decay by up to 80%. It is a simple treatment that is very effective at preventing cavities in the future.

Fluoride treatments are another effective tool that your kids’ dentists provide. Fluoride is a naturally occurring mineral that helps fortify your children’s teeth. While enamel is one of the strongest substances our bodies produce, it can still weaken over time. When this occurs, your little one’s teeth become more susceptible to decay. Fluoride treatment prevents this from happening. Using toothpaste that has fluoride can also help. For more information, we invite you to schedule an appointment with one of our network dental professionals in Point Clear.

Many individuals would be ecstatic to have a whiter smile. When you venture down the aisles of any pharmacy, you see countless products that promote their teeth whitening abilities. If you have purchased any of these, you know that they almost always provide disappointing results. However, professional tooth whitening can actually give you a brighter smile. If you are looking for a dentist in Point Clear, AL that works with Blue Cross Blue Shield, we can help you find one that offers professional teeth whitening.

When you visit your Point Clear dental practice, they can provide you with either an in-office or even at-home treatment. Should you opt for treatment in the office, you will only have to stay for roughly an hour. When you come in, your dentist will apply a bleaching gel to your front teeth that is then activated with a specialized light that removes discoloration.

If you would prefer to choose whitening at home, your dentist will give you a set of custom trays that you can fill with a safe bleaching or peroxide solution. You will put these on for a few hours each day for roughly two weeks. Once this treatment is done, you will have a more radiant smile. If you would like to book a visit with a Point Clear dentist that takes Blue Cross Blue Shield, we can help you find the best ones.

Over 16% of Alabama residents are over the age of 65, while almost 23% are under the age of 18. For both age groups, personalized dental care is especially important. Older patients often require restoration or prosthodontic care to replace lost teeth; younger patients may need additional ongoing preventive measures, such as orthodontics, to avoid more serious issues later in life. On top of routine general dental care, treatment for seniors and children can cause the costs of your family’s dental care to skyrocket. Fortunately, Doctors Network offers families throughout Alabama a highly affordable alternative to managing dental care costs with a direct dental plan.
