A common reason to search for a dentist is discomfort caused by cavities. While toothaches and sensitivity could occur for a number of reasons, including sinus congestion, one that persists for more than a day could be a sign of a deeper problem. For example, a lingering toothache could be caused by the presence of a cavity, the early stages of a dental infection, or as a result of weakened enamel due to teeth grinding while asleep. When you have an aching tooth, you probably need a dentist. Doctors Network can help connect you to a dentist in the Summerdale, AL area who takes Blue Cross Blue Shield!

When the dental professional examines you, digital x-rays are used to assess the cause and extent of the cavity. then, a dental restoration is chosen. For kids and adult patients alike, a dental filling made from a metal-free material could bring relief. A dental crown could also be used to address more severe cases. When possible, the dentist will take steps to utilize more lifelike options, so they blend with the smile. If you have persistent discomfort, use our search page to connect with Summerdale dentists who take walk-ins and book an appointment online.

Have you ever noticed popping or cracking when you open your mouth? Do you have aching jaw and facial pain? If so, this could be related to a common but serious oral health issue. Around twenty-five million people in the United States suffer from TMD and teeth grinding. Without treatment, these could not only cause pain, but actually crack or chip a tooth! Fortunately, your friends at Doctors Network can connect you to a dental professional in Summerdale, AL who accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield.

While very different from one another, we often find these are related. TMJ disorder develops when the joints connecting the jaw and skull are stressed. This could cause problems when you eat or speak. Common symptoms include pain in the jaw, head, face, and neck. Bruxism means you often grind your teeth or clench your jaw. The pressure could cause headaches and jaw pain. Teeth grinding could also fracture or break your teeth. This damage could lead to decay, infection, and more. Both disorders could be caused by issues that strain the jaw joints, and untreated TMJ disorder could cause bruxism, and vice-versa. When you have frequent discomfort in your head and neck, you should find help. We can even connect you with a dentist in Summerdale who accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield.

Treatment options often vary; for some, relief is possible following dental bonding, which improves bite balance. For others, treating misalignment with aligners or braces could ease strain and stop symptoms. The most common option offered by most dentists is an oral splint, which fits like a night-guard. If you need to find treatment from a Summerdale dentist. then contact our team!

Do you have a severely decayed tooth that needs treatment? If so, the placement of a dental crown could treat your concerns. The restoration is uniquely designed for your dentition and can return beauty and health to your smile. Our team can help connect you to a Summerdale, AL dentist who can restore your smile, and also who will accept Blue Cross Blue Shield. Don’t risk an infection!

Your first signs of trouble could be a toothache. This could mean the presence of a cavity. As discomfort worsens, you could risk the spread of infection or even tooth loss. A trauma that fractures a tooth could also lead to complications like infection with time. In such cases, restorative treatment is usually necessary. If the problem is too severe for a tooth-colored filling, then you may need crown placement.

The dental crown is a durable restoration. Once placed, this will cover the entire visible portion of your tooth. They could be made from biocompatible materials like silver. However, most dental professionals in the Summerdale, AL area offer more lifelike options made from resin. The total placement process takes two individual dental appointments. The crown, whether we use a metal or more aesthetic options, will be personalized for your smile. The custom nature of this dental prosthetic ensures a balanced bite, protecting your teeth from complications like TMJ disorder. If you have a tooth that needs treatment then use Doctors Network. We can help you find the dental offices that fit your needs and take Blue Cross Blue Shield.

It is essential for your little ones to visit a pediatric dentist on a semiannual basis for dental visits and cleanings. By teaching your kids great oral health habits, you are ensuring that they have the knowledge to have healthy smiles for life. If you are looking for a pediatric dental professional in Summerdale who accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield, you are on the right website.

In addition to offering examinations and cleanings, dentists on Doctors Network also provide your little one with protective sealants. These are small pieces of BPA-free acrylic that dentists paint onto their molars. They work as a protective film that forms a barrier between their back teeth and harmful germs. This ultimately prevents the risk of tooth decay by up to eighty percent. It is a simple treatment that is very effective at preventing cavities in the future.

Fluoride treatments are another proven tool that your pediatric dental professionals provide. Fluoride is a naturally occurring mineral that helps fortify your children’s enamel layer. While enamel is one of the most protective substances our bodies produce, it can still weaken over time. When this occurs, your child’s teeth become more susceptible to damage. Fluoride treatment prevents this from happening. Using high-fluoride toothpaste can also help. For more information, please schedule an appointment with one of our pediatric dentists in Summerdale.

Many individuals would be ecstatic to have a whiter smile. When you venture down the aisles of any drug store, you see myriad products that tout their teeth whitening abilities. If you have tried any of these, you know that they almost always provide lackluster results. However, professional tooth whitening can actually provide a brighter smile. If you are looking for a dentist in Summerdale, AL that works with Blue Cross Blue Shield, we can help you find one that offers professional tooth whitening.

When you visit your Summerdale dentist, they can provide you with either an in-office or at-home treatment option. With the in-office option, you will typically be out within about an hour, and you will have noticeably whiter teeth. For this option, your dentist will apply a gel solution to your teeth that they will then activate with a special light, to remove stains.

If you would prefer to go with an at-home treatment, your dentist will give you a set of custom trays that you can fill up with a safe peroxide or bleaching solution. You will put these on for a few hours each day for approximately 2 weeks. Once this treatment is done, you will have a more radiant smile. If you would like to book a consultation with a Summerdale dentist that takes Blue Cross Blue Shield, we can help you find a fantastic one.

If it has been over six months since you last went to a dentist, you probably should schedule a checkup soon. When you go in for bi-annual visits, your dentist can closely examine your mouth to make sure nothing is awry. This helps prevent cavities from occurring, minimizing the chance of needing more invasive procedures in the future. If you need to schedule a checkup with a dentist in Summerdale, AL that accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield we can help you find a great match.

When you visit your dentist for a checkup, they will start with a thorough cleaning. This will remove built-up that is difficult to remove at home — even with fantastic brushing and flossing habits. The dental cleaning will leave your mouth feeling rejuvenated and fresh.

Once your cleaning is over, your Summerdale dentist will begin his examination. During this portion of your appointment, the dentist will thoroughly look at your dentition to identify any potential issues. In case anything is out of the ordinary, they can provide treatment options. The Summerdale dental practice we set you up with will offer comprehensive services to address a variety of dental needs. Over 16% of Alabama residents are over the age of 65, while almost 23% are under the age of 18. For both age groups, personalized dental care is especially important. Older patients often require restoration or prosthodontic care to replace lost teeth; younger patients may need additional ongoing preventive measures, such as orthodontics, to avoid more serious issues later in life. On top of routine general dental care, treatment for seniors and children can cause the costs of your family’s dental care to skyrocket. Fortunately, Doctors Network offers families throughout Alabama a highly affordable alternative to managing dental care costs with a direct dental plan.
