When a tooth becomes infected, treatment is necessary. Without care, the tooth could become necrotic. At this stage, the tooth may need extraction. Otherwise, the infection moves into surrounding teeth. If posible, a better treatment for an infected tooth is root canal therapy. The procedure is effective, but sometimes a tooth becomes infected again, and treatment is once again necessary. You may need to book an appointment with one of our knowledgeable Susitna endodontists for a root canal redo.

A root canal involves removing the tissues from the tooth’s interior. The interiors and root canals are cleaned, and a restorative material known as gutta percha is then added to the tooth. Often, the tooth is then restored with a porcelain crown. The restoration is often custom-made to protect the tooth and also look natural. But if the procedure is not successful, the health of the tooth could be questionable. The tooth could begin developing symptoms, such as toothaches and pain when eating. If you experience discomfort, do not risk the loss of your teeth. Doctors Network can connect you with an emergency dental services provider in Susitna, AK that can offer another root canal and accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield.

If you don’t have an insurance plan don’t let that discourage you! Doctors Network can offer a direct dental plan to make care affordable. With a simple monthly rate, you can receive a root canal retreatment at a reasonable cost!

When a tooth is severely damaged, it could become an abscessed tooth. The presence of infection means serious discomfort, and without intervention, it could result in progressively worsening discomfort. This is why your tooth may need root canal therapy. Fortunately, there are options available to stop painful infections. Our network can help connect you to a Susitna dental office for root canal therapy. We can also help find a restorative dentist that accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield.

A dental infection means that harmful oral bacteria have made contact with sensitive tooth structure. The pulp is the nerve center of the tooth, and it ensures a functional tooth. Lack of treatment for an infection could allow symptoms to grow worse. A common warning sign of trouble could include swelling near the aching tooth. Don’t ignore common warning signs. Talk to our team about finding a Susitna dental professional who accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield and payment plan options.

A root canal procedure is a gentle endodontic treatment that can be completed in one sitting. Essentially, after the endodontist examines the tooth, the infected tissues are removed from within. The interior of the tooth is cleaned, and gutta percha is added. The last step involves capping the tooth with a custom-made dental crown. The cap is designed to protect the tooth and look natural. This procedure prevents tooth loss.

Good dental hygiene habits can help lower your risk of future tooth decay and dental infections. Routine six-month visits help as well. If you’re looking for root canal therapy in Susitna for infected teeth, talk to Doctors Network or book an online appointment. You have options, and we know how to find practices that accept Blue Cross Blue Shield.

It is paramount for your little ones to visit the dentist every six months for dental visits and cleanings. By teaching children preventative measures to protect their teeth, you are ensuring that they have the skills to have healthy smiles for ever. If you are looking for a kids dentist in Susitna who accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield, you are on the right website.

In addition to offering examinations and cleanings, pediatric dentists on Doctors Network also provide your little children with protective sealants. Sealants are thin layers of film that go on top of their back teeth. They work as a protective film that forms a shield between their back teeth and harmful germs. This ultimately prevents the risk of decay by up to 80%. It is a simple tool that is very effective at preventing cavities in the future.

Fluoride treatments are another great tool that your kids’ dentists provide. Fluoride is a natural mineral that helps bolster your child’s enamel. While enamel is one of the strongest substances our bodies produce, it can still weaken over time. When this occurs, your kid’s teeth become more susceptible to decay. Fluoride treatment prevents this from happening. Using toothpaste that has fluoride can also help. To learn more, we encourage you to schedule an appointment with one of our pediatric dentists in Susitna.

Many individuals would be ecstatic to have a whiter smile. When you walk down the aisles of any grocery store, you see myriad products that advertise their teeth whitening abilities. If you have used any of these, you know that they almost always provide unsatisfying results. However, professional tooth bleaching can actually give you a brighter smile. If you are looking for a dentist in Susitna, AK that works with Blue Cross Blue Shield, we can help you find one that offers professional tooth whitening.

When you visit your Susitna dentist, they can provide you with either an at-home or in-office treatment option. If you choose the in-office treatment, you will have brighter teeth within about an hour. When you come in, your dentist will apply a bleaching gel to your front teeth that is then activated with a specialized light that removes discoloration.

If you would prefer to go with an at-home treatment, your dentist will give you a set of custom trays that you can fill up with a safe bleaching solution. You will wear these for a few hours each day for about two weeks. Once this treatment is complete, you will have a whiter smile. If you would like to schedule a visit online with a Susitna dentist that takes Blue Cross Blue Shield, we can help you find a great one.

If it has been over six months since you last went to a dentist, you should schedule an appointment as soon as possible. When you go in for consistent checkups, your dentist can closely examine your smile to make sure nothing is amiss. This helps prevent infections from occurring, minimizing the chance of needing more invasive procedures in the future. If you need to schedule an appointment with a dentist in Susitna, AK that accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield we can help you find a great practice.

When you go in for an exam, your dentist will begin with a professional cleaning. This will remove tartar and plaque that is difficult to remove at home — even with fantastic brushing and flossing habits. The cleaning will leave your smile feeling rejuvenated.

Once your cleaning is completed, your Susitna dentist will begin his or her examination. During this portion of your visit, the dentist will thoroughly look at your teeth to identify any potential problems. If they find anything amiss, they can suggest the proper treatment. The Susitna practice we set you up with will offer a myriad of services to address a variety of dental needs. If you attend regularly scheduled checkups they can keep track of the health of your teeth. If you have any questions or would like to schedule a consultation with a dentist that accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield, we can help you find a great one.
