A dentist I was seeing was performing a root canal, and during the procedure, they ended up shattering my tooth. I went to Dr. Kashat-Mansour, and she had every little piece of the tooth extracted in under a half an hour. When I came to, I had very little pain and haven’t even really needed the pain meds. Neighborhood Family Dentistry in Madison Heights, MI is always busy, which is probably because Dr. Kashat-Mansour is incredible. The dentist who did my root canal referred me to her, and I had to wait four hours to be seen. So if you’re in excruciating pain, you probably don’t want to wait that long!

dental-implants-or-bridge

As children, we lose our deciduous teeth as a natural part of growing up. However, in adulthood, losing teeth means poor oral health. Gum disease leads to major tooth loss. Since losing teeth at adulthood isn’t natural, this means issues with smile stability. You could have problems eating. Problems articulating clearly may develop. Finally, you could risk impacting your smile, or even your youthful features. You need a new private dentist in Ann Arbor, MI who can correct your tooth loss. Fortunately, Doctors Network can help locate one.

First, we will connect you to a dentist in your area. Once we do, your new dentist can inspect your smile to assess your tooth loss. For mild cases, a dental bridge could be placed, restoring smile function. For several missing teeth, partial dentures could offer a solution and address complicated tooth loss. Finally, a complete denture could be custom-made. While most complete dentures and partial dentures are removable, they could be stablized with titanium implants. Dental implants are secured like natural teeth, and prevent negative changes to your maxilla and mandible and facial structure following losing a tooth.

If you live in the Ann Arbor‘s neighborhoods and have lost your natural teeth, let us help. We can help you get started on receiving the tooth replacement you need. The smile of your dreams is possible, even if you’ve suffered edentulism, and even if years have gone by since that happened!

P. S. Please congratulate our dental professionals in Nashville, TN with us this week.

When you are missing a tooth, it is crucial to fill in the gap as quickly as possible. While there are obvious aesthetic benefits, replacing your tooth can also help fortify the health of your gums and mouth in general. The process of completing your smile may seem intimidating, but a bridge is a simple yet effective way to deal with either a single missing tooth or several that are adjacent to one another. If you are looking for a dentist in Ann Arbor, MI that takes your insurance we can help you find one that can provide you with a bridge.

When you visit your Ann Arbor oral healthcare provider, they can decide if a dental bridge is right for you. As noted, dental bridges are typically used when someone has either a single missing tooth or a couple missing teeth next to one another. This is because this prosthetic is usually supported by existing teeth that are outfitted with crowns to provide improved support. Because it is held in place by existing dentition, this option is a more permanent solution.

Porcelain bridges are often made with top-of-the-line, bio-compatible porcelain that looks just like your real teeth. This ensures that your prosthetic seamlessly assimilates with the rest of your smile. Before your custom bridge is made, your dentist will take precise images of your smile, so it will be crafted to your exact needs. If you would like to schedule a consultation with a Ann Arbor dental practice that takes your insurance, we can help you find a fantastic one.

Do you have Loose teeth? Or, have you developed several gaps in your smile? If so, this could mean more than just embarrassing gaps in your smile. Over time, you may suffer major oral health and function complications. In fact, you could even develop major changes to your facial structures! To safeguard the function, health, and beauty of your smile, you need help from a good dental practice in Ann Arbor, and we can help you find local dental practices that accept most dental insurances!

What happens when gaps appear in your smile? Well, the surrounding teeth could drift from position, causing dental misalignment. The pressure on your tempromandibular joints and bite balance could lead to painful complications, like jaw joint strain and chronic teeth grinding. You could have difficulty enjoying a variety of meal options, and speaking clearly could become challenging as well. But the most severe complication is the loss of mass and density in the jawbone. This means that you could suffer further tooth loss. In addition, facial structure changes could make you appear older! But help is available, as Ann Arbor dental professionals could discuss dental prosthetics that fit your smile, and select treatment options that could be covered with most dental insurances.

Dental bridges could address minor tooth loss. All on 4 dental implants could replace the majority or all of your natural teeth. For a functional and effective prosthetic, you could find the best Ann Arbor dentists that offer dental implants. Do not let tooth loss impact your quality of life, and talk to our team about finding an implantologist!

It is imperative for your little ones to visit the dentist every six months for checkups and cleanings. By teaching your children how to take care of their teeth, you are ensuring that they have the knowledge to have healthy smiles for ever. If you are looking for a kids’ dentist in Ann Arbor who accepts patients with no dental insurance, you are on the right website.

In addition to offering checkups and cleanings, dentists on Doctors Network also provide your kids with protective sealants. Sealants are thin layers of film that go on top of their back teeth. They work as a protective film that forms a shield between their molars and harmful bacteria. This ultimately prevents the risk of dental caries by up to 80%. It is a simple service that is very effective at preventing cavities in the future.

Fluoride treatments are another great tool that your kids’ dentists provide. Fluoride is a natural mineral that helps bolster your children’s teeth. While enamel is one of the most durable substances our bodies produce, it can still weaken over time. When this occurs, your little one’s teeth become more susceptible to decay. Fluoride treatment prevents this from happening. Using fluoride toothpaste can also help. For more information, we invite you to schedule an appointment with one of our pediatric dentists in Ann Arbor.

Many individuals would be ecstatic to have a whiter smile. When you walk down the aisles of any pharmacy, you see numerous products that promote their teeth whitening abilities. If you have purchased any of these, you know that they almost always provide lackluster results. However, professional tooth bleaching can actually produce a brighter smile. If you are looking for a dentist in Ann Arbor, MI that accepts self-pay patients, we can help you find one that offers professional whitening.

When you visit your Ann Arbor dental care provider, they can provide you with either an at-home or in-office treatment option. If you choose the in-office treatment, you will have brighter teeth within about an hour. When you come in, your dentist will apply a bleaching gel to your front teeth that is then activated with a specialized light that removes discoloration.

If you would prefer to choose an at-home treatment, your dentist will give you a set of custom trays that you can fill with a safe bleaching solution. You will wear these for a few hours each day for about two weeks. Once this treatment is complete, you will have a whiter smile. If you would like to book a visit with a Ann Arbor dentist that takes self-pay patients, we can help you find the best ones.

If it has been over six months since you last went to a dentist, you should schedule a consultation soon. When you go in for bi-yearly dental checkups, your dentist can thoroughly examine your smile to make sure nothing is wrong. This helps prevent carious lesions from occurring, minimizing the chance of needing more costly procedures at a later time. If you need to schedule an online appointment with a dentist in Ann Arbor, MI that accepts patients without dental insurance we can help you find a great practice.

When you go in for an exam, your dentist will begin with a professional cleaning. This will remove tartar that is difficult to remove at home — even with great brushing and flossing habits. The cleaning will leave your smile feeling fresh.

Once your cleaning is completed, your Ann Arbor dentist will begin her or his examination. During this portion of your visit, the dentist will thoroughly look at your teeth to identify any potential issues. Should they notice something awry, they will explain your treatment options. The Ann Arbor dentist we set you up with will offer a wide range of services to address a variety of dental needs. If you visit the dentist regularly they can monitor the health of your smile. If you have any questions or would like to schedule an appointment online with a dentist that takes patients without dental insurance, we can help you find a great one.

Michigan may be best known as home to Motor City—the common nickname for Detroit, which was the center of America’s automotive boom. However, it is also known for being the only state to touch all four of the Great Lakes, giving the state 3,100 miles of freshwater coastline—more than any other state or province in the world. Michigan is home to over 9.9 million people, and helping them all maintain a healthy quality of life has always been a priority for dental health experts who call the state home. With Doctors Network, dentists can now offer patients the high-quality professional dental care they deserve at drastically reduced prices, making it easier for families in Michigan to take good care of their smiles.

Staying ahead of the curve has always been Michigan’s thing. In today’s world of rising dental health care costs, that means finding ways to keep the quality of care high while minimizing costs for average families. Doctors Network helps local dentists solve that problem by offering direct dental plans to all of their patients. Unlike dental insurance, a direct dental plan gives you access to substantial discounts on every treatment that your dentist offers. This includes everything from preventive checkups and cleanings that only cost $25 per visit to more involved cosmetic, restorative, and prosthetic procedures that are discounted by up to 90%. For the seven percent of patients in Michigan who do not have insurance, a direct dental plan can be the best way to make dental care more affordable for the whole family. For patients who already have insurance, the plan can help ensure that they are not left with exorbitant out-of-pocket expenses, even for elective procedures like porcelain veneers, Invisalign® clear aligners, dental implants, and more.
