One of the most common reasons to search for a dentist is to address pain in one or more teeth. While toothaches and sensitivity could occur for a number of reasons, including sinus problems, one that persists for more than a day could be a sign of a deeper problem. For example, a lingering toothache could be caused by dental caries, the early stages of a dental abscess, or as a result of weakened enamel due to teeth grinding. When you have an aching tooth, you most likely need a dentist. Doctors Network can help you find a dentist in the Courtland, AL community who takes private patients!

When the dental professional examines your teeth, imaging technology is used to assess the cause and extent of the cavity. From there, the right treatment is chosen. For kids and adults alike, a dental filling made from biocompatible material could bring relief. A dental crown could also be used to address more severe cases. When possible, the dentist will take steps to utilize more lifelike options, so they blend with the smile. If you have an aching tooth, use our search module to connect with Courtland emergency dentists and book an appointment.

Adults are not the only ones who benefit from routine dental treatment. Adolescents require routine checkups and cleanings as well, and they need to be monitored by a pediatric dentist for signs of threats to their oral health. This could include dental misalignment, or for teens, wisdom tooth eruption. If you need to book an online appointment a pediatric dentist in Courtland, AL with experience providing pediatric dental care, then Doctors Network is ready to help you.

Checkups and cleanings should begin as early as age two, and should be scheduled twice a year. These visits enable your Courtland pediatric dentist to watch the smile over time, and if areas of concern develop, such as dental cavities, or gingivitis, then treatment can be administered. In addition, children can often receive preventive fluoride treatments to strengthen the outer enamel of their teeth and prevent tooth caries. Dental sealants, which coat the grooves on top of the back molars, can strengthen vulnerable adult teeth. In fact, these protective sealants can last as long as ten years in some cases.

If you are searching for dentists in Courtland who can offer care for kids, let us know. We want to help you find affordable dental care. With routine care children not only can enjoy strong and healthy smiles, but they also understand the value of good oral hygiene. Checkups and cleanings can start them on the path to a lifetime of healthy gums and teeth. All of it starts with that first checkup and cleaning. So, use our search tool to find the right dentist for you!

We have reached the season when adults and children will be getting active. While we hope everyone has a great time, we know that they could sustain dental trauma. In some situations, especially when it comes to contact sports, teeth could be damaged, and when trauma occurs, you need dental care. Even minor damages could lead to an increased risk of aching teeth. Doctors Network can help you book an appointment with a dental care provider in Courtland, AL who can repair your smile.

The outside of each tooth protects the dentition. The enamel protects the sensitive inner structures from bacteria, and from the onset of tooth decay. But when a tooth is broken, it could increase the risk of tooth decay. You need treatment to safeguard your smile. Likewise, you should let us know if you need a Courtland dentist who accepts private patients for more minor complaints. Persistent discomfort and objects caught between the teeth could threaten your smile. Don’t forget that knocked out teeth are causes for concern as well. You also need care if a crown or tooth filling is compromised!

After you contact Doctors Network and begin looking for your Courtland, AL dentist, take steps to avoid complications by taking an over-the-counter pain reliever. A piece of cloth can stem bleeding. A cold compress can ease facial swelling too. If a tooth is damaged or knocked loose, recover the tooth or any pieces and bring them in a sealed container. They can be placed in a glass of milk or salt water.

According to the research by the CDC, over half of adults older than the age of thirty suffer from gingival disease. Without intervention, this disease could lead to painful symptoms, including sore gums. The advanced stage, known as periodontitis, could also cause the loss of your teeth. This is why care from a Courtland dental professional is necessary when you begin to notice changes to your gums. We can help by connecting you to one that accepts new patients. After all, we all benefit from routine dental care!

How does the gum disease start? The early stages of periodontitis could occur due to improper brushing and flossing. Some could develop it due to infrequent dental cleanings, or due to certain medications, inflammatory illness, tobacco use, or even a family history of the disease. As discussed above, tell-tell signs include sore and bleeding gums. By seeing a dentist in Courtland, AL you can receive periodontal treatments like pocket reduction surgery to bring relief and improve your oral health. These options could be at least partially covered by insurance plans.

If you feel concerned, or if you simply haven’t been to a dentist in recent months, you should schedule a visit. At Doctors Network, we can connect you to dentists in Courtland who accept new patients. A healthy and whole smile is always possible, and we can help help you find the help you need!

It is imperative for your little ones to visit a pediatric dentist bi-yearly for dental visits and cleanings. By teaching your kids how to take care of their teeth, you are ensuring that they have the knowledge to have healthy smiles for many years. If you are looking for a dental office in Courtland who accepts new patients, you are on the right website.

In addition to offering examinations and cleanings, pediatric dentists on Doctors Network also provide your kid with dental sealants. These are small pieces of BPA-free acrylic that dentists paint onto their molars. They work as a protective film that forms a shield between their back teeth and germs. This ultimately prevents the risk of infection by up to eighty percent. It is a simple treatment that is very effective at preventing cavities on adult teeth in the future.

Fluoride treatments are another proven tool that your kids’ dentists provide. Fluoride is a naturally occurring mineral that helps bolster your child’s enamel. While enamel is one of the most durable substances our bodies produce, it can still weaken over time. When this occurs, your child’s teeth become more susceptible to damage. Fluoride treatment prevents this from happening. Using toothpaste that has fluoride can also help. For more information, please schedule an appointment with one of our dental practices in Courtland.

Over 16% of Alabama residents are over the age of 65, while almost 23% are under the age of 18. For both age groups, personalized dental care is especially important. Older patients often require restoration or prosthodontic care to replace lost teeth; younger patients may need additional ongoing preventive measures, such as orthodontics, to avoid more serious issues later in life. On top of routine general dental care, treatment for seniors and children can cause the costs of your family’s dental care to skyrocket. Fortunately, Doctors Network offers families throughout Alabama a highly affordable alternative to managing dental care costs with a direct dental plan.
