Perhaps, the most common reason to seek dental care is a toothache. While sudden discomfort could occur for a number of reasons, including sinus problems, one that persists for more than a day could mean trouble. For instance, a persistent toothache could be caused by tooth decay, the early stages of a dental infection, or as a result of weakened enamel due to teeth grinding and clenching. When you have an aching tooth, you probably need a dentist. Doctors Network can help you find a dentist in the Gordonville, AL community who takes private patients!

When the dentist examines your smile, digital x-rays are used to assess the cause and extent of the cavity. From there, a dental restoration is chosen. For children and adult patients alike, a tooth-filling made from a metal-free material could bring relief. A crown could also be used to treat more severe cases. When possible, the dentist will take steps to utilize more lifelike options, so they offer a natural appearance. If you have persistent discomfort, use our search page to find Gordonville walk-in dentists and book an appointment online.

Adults are not the only ones who benefit from regular dental care. Children require routine checkups and cleanings as well, and they need to be monitored by a dental professional for issues like tooth decay. If you need to book an online appointment a family dentist in Gordonville, AL with experience helping little smiles, then Doctors Network is ready to help you.

Routine examinations should begin as early as age two, and should be scheduled twice a year. These visits enable your Gordonville pediatric dentist to monitor smiles as they grow, and if areas of concern develop, such as dental cavities, or gingivitis, then treatment can be administered. In addition, kids can often receive fluoride treatments to strengthen the outer enamel of their dentition and prevent tooth caries. Dental sealants, which coat the occlusal surfaces of the posterior teeth, can lower the risk of cavities too. In fact, sealants can provide protection against tooth cavities for as long as a decade in some cases.

With routine care kids not only enjoy healthy smiles, but they also learn the importance of caring for their smiles. These visits can start them on the path to a lifetime of healthy gums and teeth. All of it starts with that first consultation. So, use our search tool to find the best dentist for you!

We have reached the time of the year when children and adults alike will be playing sports. While we hope everyone has a great time, we know that they could sustain dental trauma. In some situations, especially with full contact sports, teeth could become compromised, and when damage occurs, you need dental care. Even minor damages could lead to an increased risk of tooth decay. Doctors Network can help you access a dental care provider in Gordonville, AL who can examine the situation.

The outer layer of the tooth protects the dentition. The enamel protects the sensitive inner structures from bacteria, and from the risk of dental infection. But when a tooth is chipped, it could increase the risk of tooth decay. You need treatment even if the damage appears minor. Likewise, you can always let us know if you need a Gordonville dentist who accepts private patients for less severe emergencies. Unexplained discomfort and objects caught between the teeth could compromise your smile. Don’t forget that loose teeth could lead to weakened smiles as well. You also need care if a tooth filling or any kind of dental restoration comes loose!

Once you contact Doctors Network and begin the search for your Gordonville, AL dentist, you can ease your discomfort by taking a store bought pain medication. Cloth or gauze can stem bleeding. A cold compress can ease facial swelling too. If a tooth is damaged or knocked loose, recover the tooth or any pieces and bring them with you to the office. They can be placed in a glass of cold milk or salt water.

It is imperative for children to visit a dental professional on a semiannual basis for checkups and cleanings. By teaching your kids preventative measures to protect their teeth, you are ensuring that they have the skills to have healthy smiles for ever. If you are looking for a dental office in Gordonville who accepts patients with no dental coverge, you are on the right website.

In addition to offering biannual dental checkups and cleanings, dentists on Doctors Network also provide your kid with sealants. These are small pieces of BPA-free acrylic that dentists paint onto their molars. They work as a protective film that forms a shield between their adult teeth and harmful germs. This ultimately prevents the risk of decay by up to eighty percent. It is a simple treatment that is very effective at preventing cavities in the future.

Fluoride treatments are another proven tool that your dentists provide. Fluoride is a naturally occurring mineral that helps strengthen your children’s teeth. While enamel is one of the most protective substances our bodies produce, it can still weaken over time. When this occurs, your kid’s teeth become more susceptible to dental caries. Fluoride treatment prevents this from happening. Using fluoride toothpaste can also help. For more information, we encourage you to schedule an appointment with one of our pediatric dentists in Gordonville.

Over 16% of Alabama residents are over the age of 65, while almost 23% are under the age of 18. For both age groups, personalized dental care is especially important. Older patients often require restoration or prosthodontic care to replace lost teeth; younger patients may need additional ongoing preventive measures, such as orthodontics, to avoid more serious issues later in life. On top of routine general dental care, treatment for seniors and children can cause the costs of your family’s dental care to skyrocket. Fortunately, Doctors Network offers families throughout Alabama a highly affordable alternative to managing dental care costs with a direct dental plan.
