Carlie L.

Normally, I don’t write reviews, but after my experience with Dr. Schambeau, it’s the least I can do for the best dentist in Bessemer, AL! To sum it up, I had an elective procedure but woke up 2 days later with a horrendous toothache. I called Schambeau Dental Care and they fit me in the same day. The office is relaxing and very clean and the staff was fantastic, as was Dr. Schambeau. He gives top-notch patient care, was very helpful and friendly, and was truly looking out for my well-being. Dr. Schambeau actually referred me to a specialist, but he said he’d do what he could until I could see the specialist. I couldn’t have expected a better visit, and I highly recommend him to anyone who needs a good dentist in Bessemer, AL. Thanks for everything and for giving me hope that there are genuine, caring dentists out there.

Perhaps, the most common reason to look for a dentist is a toothache. While toothaches and sensitivity could occur for a number of reasons, including sinus concerns or changes in elevation, one that persists for more than a day could mean trouble. For example, a persistent tooth pain could be caused by dental caries, the early stages of a dental infection, or as a result of weakened tooth structure due to teeth grinding. When you have an aching tooth, you probably need a dental restoration. Doctors Network can help connect you to a dentist in the Bon-Air, AL area who takes self-pay patients!

When the dentist examines your teeth, advanced technology is used to assess the severity of the cavity. then, the right treatment is chosen. For children and adult patients alike, a tooth-filling made from biocompatible material could bring relief. A dental crown could also be used to address more severe cases. If possible, the dentist will take steps to utilize more lifelike options, so they ensure an attractive smile. If you have a toothache, use our search page to find Bon-Air dentists who are open on Sundays and book an appointment online.

Have you experienced popping or crackling sound in the jaw? Do you have frequent headaches or jaw pain? If so, this could be related to two common jaw joint issues. Around twenty-five million people in the United States suffer from TMD and teeth grinding. Without treatment, these could not only lead to painful symptoms, but actually wear down outer tooth structure! Fortunately, your friends at Doctors Network can help you find a dentist in Bon-Air, AL who accepts patients without dental insurance.

While very different from one another, one often increases the risk of the other. TMJ disorder develops when the the temporomandibular joints become strained. This could cause problems with jaw function. Common symptoms include pain in the head and neck. Bruxism means you suffer from nightly teeth grinding. The pressure could cause jaw pain and headaches. Teeth grinding could also damage teeth. This damage could lead to decay, infection, and more. Both disorders could be caused by issues that strain the jaw joints, and untreated TMJ disorder could mean eventual teeth grinding, and vice-versa. When you have chronic pain in your head and neck, you should find help. We can even connect you with a dental professional in Bon-Air who accepts patients without dental insurance.

There are, however, multiple treatment options available; for some, relief is possible following dental bonding, which improves bite balance. For others, treating malocclusion with braces could ease strain and stop symptoms. The most common option offered by most dentists is an oral appliance, which fits like a nightguard. If you need to find treatment from a Bon-Air dentist. then contact our team!

Do you have a crackled or chipped tooth that requires attention? If so, the placement of a dental crown could help. The dental crown is uniquely designed for your smile and can provide beauty, function, and health to your smile. Our team can help connect you to a Bon-Air, AL dentist who can restore your teeth, and also who will accept private patients. Don’t risk an abscessed tooth!

The first signs of trouble could be an aching tooth. This could mean the presence of tooth decay. As toothache worsens, you could risk the spread of infection or even tooth loss. An injury that breaks a tooth could also lead to complications like tooth decay or infection with time. In these situations, restorative treatment is usually necessary. If the tooth defect is too severe for a tooth filling, then you may need crown placement.

The crown is a complete dental restoration. Once placed, this will cover the entire visible portion of your tooth. They could be made from durable materials like metal alloys. However, many dentists in the Bon-Air, AL area offer more natural options entirely made from resin. The total placement process takes one to two visits on average. The dental crown, whether we use a metal or more lifelike options, will be personalized for your smile. The custom nature of this dental prosthetic ensures a balanced occlusion, protecting your teeth from complications like TMJ disorder. If you have teeth that need restoration then talk to Doctors Network. We can help you find the dental offices that fit your needs and take private patients.

It is crucial for kids to visit the dentist on a semiannual basis for dental visits and cleanings. By teaching kids how to take care of their teeth, you are ensuring that they have the skills to have healthy smiles for many years. If you are looking for a kids dentist in Bon-Air who takes new patients, you are on the right website.

In addition to offering checkups and cleanings, dentists on Doctors Network also provide your child with dental sealants. These are small pieces of BPA-free acrylic that dentists paint onto their molars. They work as a protective film that forms a protective layer between their molars and harmful germs. This ultimately prevents the risk of tooth decay by up to 80 percent. It is a simple service that is very effective at preventing the need for fillings in the future.

Fluoride treatments are another proven tool that your pediatric dental professionals provide. Fluoride is a natural mineral that helps bolster your children’s enamel. While enamel is one of the most durable substances our bodies produce, it can still weaken over time. When this occurs, your child’s teeth become more susceptible to cavities. Fluoride treatment prevents this from happening. Using fluoride toothpaste can also help. For more information, we invite you to schedule an appointment with one of our network dental professionals in Bon-Air.

Many folks would be elated to have a whiter smile. When you walk down the aisles of any grocery store, you see myriad products that tout their teeth whitening abilities. If you have purchased any of these, you know that they almost always provide unsatisfying results. However, professional teeth whitening can actually give you a brighter smile. If you are looking for a dentist in Bon-Air, AL that takes patients with no dental coverage, we can help you find one that offers professional teeth whitening.

When you visit your Bon-Air dental practice, they can provide you with either an in-office or even at-home treatment. With the in-office option, you will typically be out within about an hour, and you will have noticeably whiter teeth. When you visit the office for whitening, your dentist will apply a special bleaching gel that, when activated by a special light, will get rid of stains.

If you would prefer to choose an at-home treatment, your dentist will give you a set of custom trays that you can fill up with a safe bleaching or peroxide solution. You will wear these for a couple of hours each day for approximately 2 weeks. Once this treatment is over, you will have a whiter smile. If you would like to book a visit online with a Bon-Air dentist that takes patients with no dental coverage, we can help you find a fantastic one.

If it has been a long time since you last visited a dentist, you probably should schedule an appointment soon. Over 16% of Alabama residents are over the age of 65, while almost 23% are under the age of 18. For both age groups, personalized dental care is especially important. Older patients often require restoration or prosthodontic care to replace lost teeth; younger patients may need additional ongoing preventive measures, such as orthodontics, to avoid more serious issues later in life. On top of routine general dental care, treatment for seniors and children can cause the costs of your family’s dental care to skyrocket. Fortunately, Doctors Network offers families throughout Alabama a highly affordable alternative to managing dental care costs with a direct dental plan.
