sleep-apnea-treatment

When you experience chronic snoring, you may not assume a dentist near you could help. But in fact, dentists can often provide a comfortable option to stop nighttime airway obstruction. Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is a condition in which as you sleep, the soft tissues in the throat and the tissues around the throat collapse and interrupt your sleep cycle. People actually stop breathing briefly until the brain wakes them. Even as you assume you slept well, you could experience daytime drowsiness! But when is it time to talk to Doctors Network to find Hillsboro, AL dentists who could offer treatment with oral appliance therapy?

Signs and symptoms of OSA include snoring on a nightly basis. Daytime headaches, drowsiness, and even irritability could occur too. Without treatment, the condition could even affect your immune system and increase the risk of heart disease. When you notice similar signs and symptoms, consider talking to a dentist. Sometimes, oral appliance therapy can be helpful to keep airways free of obstruction, so you can finally enjoy a good night’s rest.

This week we are honoring our dental professionals in NYC.

Did you ever notice popping or cracking when you open your mouth? Do you have frequent headaches or jaw pain? If so, this could be related to two common jaw joint issues. Around 25 million people in the United States suffer from TMD and teeth grinding. Without treatment, these could not only cause pain, but actually crack or chip a tooth! Fortunately, your friends at Doctors Network can help you find a dental professional in Hillsboro, AL who accepts patients with no insurance.

While very different from one another, one often increases the risk of the other. TMJ disorder develops when the joints connecting the jaw and skull are stressed. This could cause problems with jaw function. Common symptoms include pain in the face, head and neck, and jaw. Bruxism means you clench or grind your teeth in your sleep. The pressure of clenching could cause headaches and jaw pain. Teeth grinding could also fracture or break your teeth. This damage could lead to cavities, infection, and more. Both disorders could be caused by issues that upset bite balance, and untreated TMJ disorder could cause bruxism, and vice-versa. When you have frequent discomfort in your head and neck, you should find help. We can even connect you with a dental professional in Hillsboro who accepts patients with no insurance.

There are, however, multiple treatment options available; for some, relief is possible following recontouring, which improves bite balance. For others, treating misalignment with Invisalign could ease strain and stop symptoms. The most common option offered by most dentists is an oral splint, which fits like a nightguard. If you need to find treatment from a Hillsboro dentist. then contact our team!

It is crucial for your little ones to visit the dentist every six months for exams and cleanings. By teaching your children great oral health habits, you are ensuring that they have the knowledge to have healthy smiles for many years. If you are looking for a dentist in Hillsboro who accepts patients with no dental insurance, you are on the right website.

In addition to offering examinations and cleanings, pediatric dentists on Doctors Network also provide your kid with dental sealants. These are thin pieces of film that go over their molars. They work as a protective film that forms a barrier between their adult molars and germs. This ultimately prevents the risk of cavities by up to eighty percent. It is a simple procedure that is very effective at preventing the need for fillings in the future.

Fluoride treatments are another effective tool that your kids’ dentists provide. Fluoride is a naturally occurring mineral that helps bolster your children’s enamel layer. While enamel is one of the most durable substances our bodies produce, it can still weaken over time. When this occurs, your child’s teeth become more susceptible to decay. Fluoride treatment helps stop decay from occurring. Using fluoride toothpaste can also help. To learn more, we encourage you to schedule an appointment with one of our network dental professionals in Hillsboro.

Many people would be ecstatic to have a whiter smile. When you walk down the aisles of any grocery store, you see countless products that tout their teeth whitening abilities. If you have tried any of these, you know that they almost always provide lackluster results. However, professional teeth whitening can actually provide a brighter smile. If you are looking for a dentist in Hillsboro, AL that takes patients without dental insurance, we can help you find one that offers professional tooth whitening.

When you visit your Hillsboro dental practice, they can provide you with either an in-office or even at-home treatment. Should you opt for treatment in the office, you will only have to stay for roughly an hour. For this option, your dentist will apply a gel solution to your teeth that they will then activate with a special light, to remove stains.

If you would prefer to go with whitening at home, your dentist will give you a set of custom trays that you can fill with a safe peroxide solution. You will put these on for a couple of hours each day for roughly two weeks. Once this treatment is over, you will have a whiter and brighter smile. If you would like to book an appointment online with a Hillsboro dentist that accepts patients without dental insurance, we can help you find a fantastic one.

Over 16% of Alabama residents are over the age of 65, while almost 23% are under the age of 18. For both age groups, personalized dental care is especially important. Older patients often require restoration or prosthodontic care to replace lost teeth; younger patients may need additional ongoing preventive measures, such as orthodontics, to avoid more serious issues later in life. On top of routine general dental care, treatment for seniors and children can cause the costs of your family’s dental care to skyrocket. Fortunately, Doctors Network offers families throughout Alabama a highly affordable alternative to managing dental care costs with a direct dental plan.
