I truly love the staff at Schambeau Dental Care in Bessemer, AL. Everyone is so nice, and the dentist is super friendly. I went to this office a few years ago, but because I was pregnant at the time, they couldn’t treat me right away. So they told me to come back after I had the baby, but it completely slipped my mind. Well, I went today, and the hygienist did my cleaning and explained everything thoroughly. Dr. Schambeau was as nice as always and took me through my treatment plan. Lastly, the receptionist showed me the bill and offered multiple payment options. Since I’m about to buy a home, I need to be careful with spending, but they were very accommodating to my needs. I don’t like to go to the dentist, but when I do need to go, Schambeau Dental Care is the only place I go! I love it there!

sleep-apnea-treatment

When you have a poor sleeping pattern, you may not assume a dentist near you could help. But in fact, dentists can often provide a noninvasive and comfortable option to treat sleep apnea. Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) means that as you sleep, the soft tissues in the throat and the tissues around the throat collapse and cut off airflow. People literally stop breathing for a few seconds until the brain wakes them. Even as you assume you slept well, you could feel tired! But when is it necessary to contact Doctors Network and find Maytown, AL dentists who could offer treatment with oral appliance therapy?

Symptoms of OSA could include snoring on a nightly basis. Daytime drowsiness, and moodiness could occur too. With no treatment, OSA could even strain your immune system and heart health. When you suffer similar signs and symptoms, consider talking to a dentist. Often, oral appliance therapy can be helpful to keep air passages clear while you sleep, so you can finally rest without sleep apnea symptoms.

This week we are celebrating our dental care providers near Manhattan, NY.

Have you experienced popping or crackling sound in the jaw? Do you have frequent headaches or jaw pain? If so, this could be related to a common but serious oral health issue. Around 25 million people in the United States suffer from chronic bruxism and TMJ dysfunction. Without treatment, these could not just cause jaw pain, but actually crack or chip a tooth! Fortunately, your friends at Doctors Network can connect you to a dental professional in Maytown, AL who accepts patients without dental insurance.

While very different from one another, one often increases the risk of the other. TMJ disorder develops when the jaw joints undergo excessive strain. This could cause problems with jaw function. Common symptoms include pain in the face, head and neck, and jaw. Bruxism means you clench or grind your teeth in your sleep. The stress caused by grinding could cause jaw pain and headaches. Teeth grinding could also fracture or break your teeth. This damage could lead to cavities, infection, and more. Both disorders could be caused by issues that upset bite balance, and untreated TMJ disorder could mean eventual teeth grinding, and vice-versa. When you have chronic pain in your head and neck, you should find help. We can even connect you with a dentist in Maytown who accepts patients without dental insurance.

Treatment options often vary; for some, relief is possible following recontouring, which improves bite balance. For others, treating malocclusion with aligners or braces could ease strain and stop symptoms. The most common option offered by most dentists is an oral splint, which fits like a mouthguard. If you need to find treatment from a Maytown dentist. then contact our team!

It is crucial for kids to visit the dentist twice a year for exams and cleanings. By teaching kids preventative measures to protect their teeth, you are ensuring that they have the knowledge to have healthy smiles for life. If you are looking for a pediatric dentist in Maytown who accepts patients with no dental insurance, you are on the right website.

In addition to offering examinations and cleanings, pediatric dentists on Doctors Network also provide your child with dental sealants. Sealants are thin layers of film that go on top of their back teeth. They work as a protective film that forms a protective layer between their adult molars and harmful germs. This ultimately prevents the risk of infection by up to 80 percent. It is a simple tool that is very effective at preventing cavities in the future.

Fluoride treatments are another great tool that your pediatric dentists provide. Fluoride is a natural mineral that helps fortify your child’s enamel layer. While enamel is one of the strongest substances our bodies produce, it can still weaken over time. When this occurs, your kid’s teeth become more susceptible to dental caries. Fluoride treatment helps stop decay from occurring. Using toothpaste that has fluoride can also help. For more information, please schedule an appointment with one of our dental practices in Maytown.

Many folks would be elated to have a whiter smile. When you walk down the aisles of any drug store, you see countless products that advertise their teeth whitening abilities. If you have used any of these, you know that they almost always provide lackluster results. However, professional tooth whitening can actually provide a brighter smile. If you are looking for a dentist in Maytown, AL that takes self-pay patients, we can help you find one that offers professional whitening.

When you visit your Maytown dental practice, they can provide you with either an in-office or at-home treatment. If you choose the in-office treatment, you will have brighter teeth within about an hour. When you visit the office for whitening, your dentist will apply a special bleaching gel that, when activated by a special light, will get rid of stains.

If you would prefer to go with whitening at home, your dentist will give you a set of custom trays that you can fill with a safe whitening solution. You will wear these for a few hours each day for about 2 weeks. Once this treatment is done, you will have a more radiant smile. If you would like to book a consultation with a Maytown dentist that takes self-pay patients, we can help you find a great one.

If it has been a long time since you last visited a dentist, you probably should schedule a checkup as soon as possible. When you go in for regular checkups, your dentist can closely examine your mouth to make sure nothing is awry. This helps prevent tooth decays from occurring, minimizing the chance of needing more costly procedures down the road. If you are looking for a dentist in Maytown, AL that takes individuals without dental insurance we can help you find a great practice.

To begin your visit, a hygienist will clean your teeth thoroughly. This will remove plaque that is hard to remove at home — even with great brushing and flossing habits. The dental prophylaxis will leave your mouth feeling fresh.

Once your cleaning is completed, your Maytown dentist will begin her or his examination. During this portion of your appointment, the dentist will thoroughly look at your dentition to identify any potential issues. In case anything is out of the ordinary, they can suggest the proper treatment. The Maytown dentist we set you up with will offer a wide range of services to address a variety of dental complications. If you attend regularly scheduled checkups they can monitor the health of your mouth. If you have any questions or would like to schedule an appointment with a dentist that accepts individuals without dental insurance, we can help you find a great one.

Over 16% of Alabama residents are over the age of 65, while almost 23% are under the age of 18. For both age groups, personalized dental care is especially important. Older patients often require restoration or prosthodontic care to replace lost teeth; younger patients may need additional ongoing preventive measures, such as orthodontics, to avoid more serious issues later in life. On top of routine general dental care, treatment for seniors and children can cause the costs of your family’s dental care to skyrocket. Fortunately, Doctors Network offers families throughout Alabama a highly affordable alternative to managing dental care costs with a direct dental plan.
