sleep-apnea-treatment

When you suffer from chronic snoring, you may not realize it, but a dentist near you could help. But in fact, dentists can provide a noninvasive and comfortable option to help you breathe better while sleeping. Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) means that when you sleep, the soft palate and the back of your mouth collapse and cause you to stop breathing. Patients literally stop breathing for a few seconds until the brain alerts the body to resume breathing. Even as you assume you slept well, you could feel tired! But when is it time to contact Doctors Network to find Mosses, AL dentists who provide treatment options?

Signs and symptoms of OSA include chronic snoring. Daytime drowsiness, headaches, and even trouble with interpersonal relationships could occur too. Without treatment, the condition could affect your immune system and heart health. When you experience similar signs, consider talking to a dentist. Often, oral appliance therapy can be used to keep airways free of obstruction, so you can finally sleep well.

This week we are honoring our dental professionals near New York, NY.

In childhood, many of us develop teeth grinding for short periods of time. The issue tends to be temporary. But for some, bruxism could mean chronic teeth grinding into and throughout adulthood, and the pressure from grinding and clenching your teeth could lead to major complications. Have you ever noticed popping or cracking when you open your mouth? Do you have aching jaw and facial pain? If so, this could be related to two common jaw joint issues. Around 25 million people in the United States suffer from TMD and teeth grinding. Without treatment, these could not only lead to painful symptoms, but actually damage the teeth too! Fortunately, your friends at Doctors Network can connect you to a dental professional in Mosses, AL who accepts patients without dental insurance.

While very different from one another, one often increases the risk of the other. TMJ disorder develops when the jaw joints undergo excessive strain. This could cause problems with jaw function. Common symptoms include pain in the jaw, head, and neck. Bruxism means you clench or grind your teeth in your sleep. The pressure of clenching could cause jaw pain and headaches. Teeth grinding could also weaken and damage the tooth structure. This damage could lead to decay, infection, and more. Both disorders could be caused by issues that upset bite balance, and untreated TMJ disorder could mean eventual teeth grinding, and vice-versa. When you have frequent discomfort in your head and neck, you should find help. We can even connect you with a dentist in Mosses who accepts patients without dental insurance.

There are, however, multiple treatment options available; for some, relief is possible following crown placement, which improves bite balance. For others, treating malocclusion with Invisalign could ease strain and stop symptoms. The most common option most dentists offer is an oral appliance, which fits like a night-guard. If you need to find treatment from a Mosses dentist. then contact our team!

It is essential for your little ones to visit a pediatric dentist on a semiannual basis for exams and cleanings. By teaching your kids how to take care of their teeth, you are ensuring that they have the tools to have healthy smiles for life. If you are looking for a pediatric dentist in Mosses who takes uninsured patients, you are on the right website.

In addition to offering biannual dental checkups and cleanings, dentists on Doctors Network also provide your child with sealants. These are thin pieces of film that go over their molars. They work as a protective film that forms a protective layer between their permanent teeth and harmful germs. This ultimately prevents the risk of decay by up to 80 percent. It is a simple tool that is very effective at preventing cavities in the future.

Fluoride treatments are another effective tool that your kids’ dentists provide. Fluoride is a natural mineral that helps fortify your child’s enamel. While enamel is one of the most protective substances our bodies produce, it can still weaken over time. When this occurs, your little one’s teeth become more susceptible to decay. Fluoride treatment prevents this from happening. Using fluoride toothpaste can also help. To learn more, we encourage you to schedule an appointment with one of our network dental professionals in Mosses.

Many individuals would be ecstatic to have a whiter smile. When you venture down the aisles of any grocery store, you see countless products that tout their teeth whitening abilities. If you have purchased any of these, you know that they almost always provide disappointing results. However, professional tooth whitening can actually provide a brighter smile. If you are looking for a dentist in Mosses, AL that takes patients without dental insurance, we can help you find one that offers professional whitening.

When you visit your Mosses dental practice, they can provide you with either an at-home or in-office option. Should you opt for treatment in the office, you will only have to stay for roughly an hour. When you visit the office for whitening, your dentist will apply a special bleaching gel that, when activated by a special light, will get rid of stains.

If you would prefer to get an at-home treatment, your dentist will give you a set of custom trays that you can fill with a safe whitening solution. You will wear these for a few hours each day for roughly two weeks. Once this treatment is complete, you will have a whiter and brighter smile. If you would like to schedule an appointment with a Mosses dentist that accepts patients without dental insurance, we can help you find the best ones.

If it has been over six months since you last went to a dentist, you probably should schedule an appointment as soon as possible. When you go in for bi-annual dental checkups, your dentist can closely examine your mouth to make sure nothing is awry. This helps prevent carious lesions from occurring, minimizing the chance of needing more costly procedures down the road. If you are looking for a dentist in Mosses, AL that takes patients who do not have insurance we can help you find a great office.

To begin your visit, a hygienist will clean your teeth thoroughly. This will remove plaque and tartar that is difficult to remove at home — even with great brushing and flossing habits. The dental prophylaxis will leave your mouth feeling fresh.

Once your cleaning is done, your Mosses dentist will begin his or her examination. During this portion of your visit, the dentist will thoroughly look at your oral cavity to identify any potential problems. If they find anything amiss, they can provide treatment options. The Mosses dentist we set you up with will offer a myriad of services to address a variety of dental needs. If you visit the dentist regularly they can keep track of the health of your teeth. If you have any questions or would like to schedule a consultation with a dentist that works with patients who do not have insurance, we can help you find a great one.

Over 16% of Alabama residents are over the age of 65, while almost 23% are under the age of 18. For both age groups, personalized dental care is especially important. Older patients often require restoration or prosthodontic care to replace lost teeth; younger patients may need additional ongoing preventive measures, such as orthodontics, to avoid more serious issues later in life. On top of routine general dental care, treatment for seniors and children can cause the costs of your family’s dental care to skyrocket. Fortunately, Doctors Network offers families throughout Alabama a highly affordable alternative to managing dental care costs with a direct dental plan.

I'm a freelancer, so I can't buy insurance easily, so I always ended up paying a lot for doctors' visits. I signed up for a Doctors Network dental plan, and my dental cleanings cost only $25 now. If you don't have dental insurance I highly recommend it.
