Lisa C.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Schambeau at Schambeau Dental Care for a while now. They have a fully staffed, very professional office. The hygienists and doctors are all highly skilled. In my opinion, they’re the best dental practice in Bessemer, AL! I’m 58 years old and have lived in a lot of places, which means I’ve had a lot of dentists. Schambeau Dental Care cured my gum disease, fixed all my teeth, and replaced the mercury fillings that a previous dentist had done. Since seeing Dr. Schambeau nine years ago, I’ve received so many compliments on my smile. Everyone at the office is always positive and empathetic, and they truly care about you. Sometimes, I even ask for more mouthwash, hoping that whatever they drink to make them like this rubs off on me. Seriously, though, this is the best dental practice around. If you go anywhere else, take comfort in knowing that it might be the second best dental office, but why risk it?

sleep-apnea-treatment

When you experience a poor sleeping pattern, you may not assume a dentist near you could help. In fact, dentists can often provide a comfortable and noninvasive solution to treat sleep apnea. Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) means that as you sleep, the soft palate and the tissues around the throat collapse and cut off airflow. Patients with OSA literally stop breathing briefly until the brain alerts the body to resume breathing. Even as you assume you slept well, you could feel tired! But when should you talk to Doctors Network and find Parrish, AL dentists who offer OSA treatment?

Sings of OSA could include loud and frequent snoring. Daytime drowsiness, headaches, and trouble with interpersonal relationships could occur too. Without intervention, OSA could even strain your immune system and increase the risk of heart disease. When you suffer similar signs and symptoms, consider seeing a dental professional. Often, oral appliance therapy can be used to keep airways open, so you can finally rest without sleep apnea symptoms.

This week we are celebrating our dentists near Manhattan, NY.

When we are kids, many of us clench our teeth for short periods of time. The issue tends to pass on its own. Did you ever notice popping or crackling sound in the jaw? Do you have frequent headaches or jaw pain? If so, this could be related to widespread jaw joint disorders. Around twenty-five million people in the United States suffer from TMJ disorder or bruxism. Without treatment, these could not just cause jaw pain, but actually wear down outer tooth structure! Fortunately, your friends at Doctors Network can find the right dental office in Parrish, AL who accepts patients without dental insurance.

While very different from one another, we often find these are related. TMJ disorder develops when the the temporomandibular joints become strained. This could cause problems when you eat or speak. Common symptoms include pain in the jaw, head, face, and neck. Bruxism means you often grind your teeth or clench your jaw. The pressure of clenching could cause headaches and jaw pain. Teeth grinding could also weaken and damage the tooth structure. This damage could lead to decayed teeth, infection, and more. Both disorders could be caused by issues that upset bite balance, and untreated TMJ disorder could mean eventual teeth grinding, and vice-versa. When you have persistent pain in your head and neck, you should find help. We can even connect you with a dental professional in Parrish who accepts patients without dental insurance.

Treatment options often vary; for some, relief is possible following dental bonding, which improves bite balance. For others, treating malocclusion with orthodontic treatment could ease strain and stop symptoms. The most common option offered by most dental professionals is an oral appliance, which fits like a mouthguard. If you need to find treatment from a Parrish dentist. then contact our team!

It is important for kids to visit the dentist twice a year for checkups and cleanings. By teaching your children preventative measures to protect their teeth, you are ensuring that they have the skills to have healthy smiles for ever. If you are looking for a dentist in Parrish who accepts private patients, you are on the right website.

In addition to offering exams and cleanings, pediatric dentists on Doctors Network also provide your child with protective sealants. These are thin pieces of film that go over their molars. They work as a protective film that forms a barrier between their back molars and germs. This ultimately prevents the risk of decay by up to 80 percent. It is a simple treatment that is very effective at preventing the need for fillings in the future.

Fluoride treatments are another proven tool that your pediatric dental professionals provide. Fluoride is a natural mineral that helps fortify your child’s enamel. While enamel is one of the strongest substances our bodies produce, it can still weaken over time. When this occurs, your little one’s teeth become more susceptible to decay. This procedure helps mitigate this damage. Using fluoride toothpaste can also help. For more information, we encourage you to schedule an appointment with one of our dental practices in Parrish.

Many people would be elated to have a whiter smile. When you walk down the aisles of any pharmacy, you see numerous products that promote their teeth whitening abilities. If you have used any of these, you know that they almost always provide unsatisfying results. However, professional tooth bleaching can actually produce a brighter smile. If you are looking for a dentist in Parrish, AL that works with patients without dental insurance, we can help you find one that offers professional teeth whitening.

When you visit your Parrish dentist, they can provide you with either an in-office or at-home treatment option. Should you opt for treatment in the office, you will only have to stay for roughly an hour. For this option, your dentist will apply a gel solution to your teeth that they will then activate with a special light, to remove stains.

If you would prefer to get whitening from the comfort of your home, your dentist will give you a set of custom trays that you can fill with a safe whitening solution. You will put these on for a couple of hours each day for approximately 2 weeks. Once this treatment is complete, you will have a brighter smile. If you would like to request an appointment with a Parrish dentist that takes patients without dental insurance, we can help you find the best ones.

If it has been at least half a year since you last visited a dentist, you should schedule a consultation soon. When you go in for bi-yearly checkups, your dentist can thoroughly examine your smile to make sure nothing is wrong. This helps prevent cavities from occurring, minimizing the chance of needing more expensive procedures in the future. If you are looking for a dentist in Parrish, AL that accepts individuals with no dental insurance we can help you find a great office.

When you visit your dentist for a checkup, they will start with a thorough cleaning. This will remove tartar and plaque that is tough to remove at home — even with great brushing and flossing habits. The dental prophylaxis will leave your smile feeling fresh and rejuvenated.

Once your cleaning is over, your Parrish dentist will begin his examination. During this portion of your visit, the dentist will thoroughly look at your mouth to identify any potential complications. If they find anything amiss, they can suggest the proper treatment. The Parrish dentist we set you up with will offer a myriad of services to address a variety of dental conditions. If you visit the dentist regularly they can monitor the health of your teeth. If you have any questions or would like to schedule an appointment online with a dentist that accepts individuals with no dental insurance, we can help you find a great one.

Over 16% of Alabama residents are over the age of 65, while almost 23% are under the age of 18. For both age groups, personalized dental care is especially important. Older patients often require restoration or prosthodontic care to replace lost teeth; younger patients may need additional ongoing preventive measures, such as orthodontics, to avoid more serious issues later in life. On top of routine general dental care, treatment for seniors and children can cause the costs of your family’s dental care to skyrocket. Fortunately, Doctors Network offers families throughout Alabama a highly affordable alternative to managing dental care costs with a direct dental plan.
