One of the most common reasons to seek dental care is to address a toothache. While toothaches and sensitivity could occur for a number of reasons, including sinus concerns or changes in elevation, one that persists for more than a day could be a sign of a deeper problem. For instance, a persistent toothache could be caused by dental caries, the early stages of a dental infection, or as a result of weakened tooth structure due to teeth grinding while asleep. When you have an aching tooth, you probably need a tooth-filling. Doctors Network can help locate dental care in the Blue Ridge, AL community who takes Delta Dental!

When the dentist examines you, imaging technology is used to assess the cause and extent of the cavity. then, a dental restoration is chosen. For kids and adults alike, a dental filling made from a composite resin could bring relief. A dental cap or crown could also be used to treat advanced decay. When possible, the dentist will take steps to utilize more lifelike options, so they ensure an attractive smile. If you have an aching tooth, use our search page to find Blue Ridge dentists who are open on Saturdays and request an appointment.

Did you ever notice a popping sensation in your jaw? Do you have aching jaw and facial pain? If so, this could be related to two common jaw joint issues. Around twenty-five million people in the United States suffer from TMD and teeth grinding. Without treatment, these could not only cause pain, but actually damage the teeth too! Fortunately, your friends at Doctors Network can find the right dentist in Blue Ridge, AL who accepts Delta Dental.

While very different from one another, these two disorders are often related. TMJ disorder develops when the the temporomandibular joints become strained. This could cause problems with jaw function. Common symptoms include pain in the head and neck. Bruxism means you suffer from nightly teeth grinding. The pressure could cause jaw pain. Teeth grinding could also damage teeth. This damage could lead to decayed teeth, infection, and more. Both disorders could be caused by issues that upset bite balance, and untreated TMJ disorder could mean eventual teeth grinding, and vice-versa. When you have frequent discomfort in your head and neck, you should find help. We can even connect you with a dentist in Blue Ridge who accepts Delta Dental.

Treatment options often vary; for some, relief is possible following dental bonding, which improves bite balance. For others, treating misalignment with aligners or braces could ease strain and stop symptoms. The most common option offered by most dental professionals is an oral appliance, which fits like a mouthguard. If you need to find treatment from a Blue Ridge dentist. then contact our team!

Do you have an infected tooth that requires attention? If so, the placement of a dental crown could treat your concerns. The restoration is uniquely designed for your smile and can return function, health, and beauty to your smile. Our team can help find you a Blue Ridge, AL dental professional who can restore your smile, and also who will accept Delta Dental. Don’t risk an abscessed tooth!

The first signs of trouble could be a toothache. This could be due to the presence of decayed teeth. As toothache worsens, you could risk an infected or abscessed tooth or even the loss of your tooth. An injury that fractures a tooth could also lead to complications like infection and tooth decay with time. In such cases, restorative treatment is usually necessary. If the problem is too severe for a tooth-colored filling, then you may need a full dental restoration.

The dental crown is a full restoration. Once placed, this will cover the entire outer tooth structure. They could be made from strong materials like gold. However, many dentists in the Blue Ridge, AL area offer more natural options made from ceramic. The total placement process takes about two visits to complete. The restoration, whether we use a metal or more aesthetic options, will be custom-made for your smile. The custom nature of this dental prosthetic helps ensure a balanced bite, protecting your smile from complications like temporomandibular joint disorders. It is essential for children to visit a pediatric dentist twice a year for dental visits and cleanings. By teaching kids great oral health habits, you are ensuring that they have the tools to have healthy smiles for ever. If you are looking for a pediatric dentist in Blue Ridge who accepts Delta Dental, you are on the right website.

In addition to offering examinations and cleanings, dentists on Doctors Network also provide your child with protective sealants. These are small pieces of BPA-free acrylic that dentists paint onto their molars. They work as a protective film that forms a shield between their molars and bacteria. This ultimately prevents the risk of dental caries by up to 80 percent. It is a simple procedure that is very effective at preventing cavities on adult teeth in the future.

Fluoride treatments are another effective tool that your pediatric dental professionals provide. Fluoride is a naturally occurring mineral that helps strengthen your child’s enamel. While enamel is one of the strongest substances our bodies produce, it can still weaken over time. When this occurs, your little one’s teeth become more susceptible to decay. This procedure helps mitigate this damage. Using fluoride toothpaste can also help. For more information, we invite you to schedule an appointment with one of our dental practices in Blue Ridge.

Many people would prefer to have a whiter smile. When you venture down the aisles of any grocery store, you see myriad products that tout their teeth whitening abilities. If you have tried any of these, you know that they almost always provide disappointing results. However, professional tooth bleaching can actually give you a brighter smile. If you are looking for a dentist in Blue Ridge, AL that accepts Delta Dental, we can help you find one that offers professional teeth whitening.

When you visit your Blue Ridge dental practice, they can provide you with either an in-office or even at-home treatment option. With the in-office option, you will typically be out within about an hour, and you will have noticeably whiter teeth. When you come in, your dentist will apply a bleaching gel to your front teeth that is then activated with a specialized light that removes discoloration.

If you would prefer to choose whitening from the comfort of your home, your dentist will give you a set of custom trays that you can fill with a safe peroxide or bleaching solution. You will put these on for one or two hours each day for roughly 2 weeks. Once this treatment is done, you will have a more radiant smile. If you would like to request an appointment with a Blue Ridge dentist that takes Delta Dental, we can help you find the best ones.

Over 16% of Alabama residents are over the age of 65, while almost 23% are under the age of 18. For both age groups, personalized dental care is especially important. Older patients often require restoration or prosthodontic care to replace lost teeth; younger patients may need additional ongoing preventive measures, such as orthodontics, to avoid more serious issues later in life. On top of routine general dental care, treatment for seniors and children can cause the costs of your family’s dental care to skyrocket. Fortunately, Doctors Network offers families throughout Alabama a highly affordable alternative to managing dental care costs with a direct dental plan.
