When a tooth becomes infected, treatment is necessary. Not seeking care means the tooth could essentially die. At this stage, the tooth may need extraction. Otherwise, the infection moves into surrounding teeth. If posible, the ideal treatment for an infected tooth is a root canal. The procedure is effective, but sometimes a root canalled tooth becomes infected again, and treatment is once again necessary. You may need to see one of our Troy endodontists for further treatments.

A root canal involves removing the tissues from the inside and root canals. The interiors and root canals are thoroughly cleaned, and a restorative material, AKA gutta percha, is then administered. Often, the tooth is then restored with a tooth crown. The restoration is often custom-made to protect the tooth and also match the rest of the smile. But if there are complications with the procedure, the health of the tooth could be questionable. The tooth could begin developing symptoms, such as toothaches and complications with eating. If you experience this type of discomfort, don’t risk the loss of your teeth. Doctors Network can help you find an emergency dentist in Troy, AL that can offer additional treatment and accepts Delta Dental.

If you don’t have dental coverage don’t let that discourage you! Doctors Network can offer a direct dental plan to make your treatment fit your budget. With a monthly membership fee, you can undergo necessary root canal retreatment without breaking the bank!

When a tooth is severely damaged, it could become infected. The presence of an abscessed tooth means serious discomfort, and without treatment, it could result in progressively worsening discomfort. This is why your tooth may need root canal therapy. Fortunately, there are options available to bring relief. Our network can help connect you to a Troy dental professional for endodontic treatment. We can also help find a dentist that accepts Delta Dental.

A dental abscess means that harmful oral bacteria have made contact with the inner pulp. The pulp is the nerve center of the tooth, and it keeps the tooth healthy. Lack of treatment for an abscess could allow symptoms to grow worse. A common warning sign of trouble could include pain when eating. Don’t ignore a potential symptom. Talk to our team about finding a Troy dentist who accepts Delta Dental and other forms of coverage.

A root canal procedure is a gentle endodontic treatment that can be completed in one sitting. Essentially, after the dental specialist examines the tooth, the carious tooth structures are removed from within. The interior of the tooth is cleaned, and a special restorative material is added. The last step involves capping the tooth with a porcelain or metal crown. The crown is designed to protect the tooth and appear esthetically pleasing. This procedure helps relieve the pain.

Good dental hygiene habits can help lower your risk of future tooth cavity and dental infections. Dental exams help as well. If you’re looking for treatment in Troy for dental infection, contact Doctors Network or schedule an online appointment. You have options, and we know how to find practices that accept Delta Dental.

It is important for children to visit a pediatric dentist bi-yearly for exams and cleanings. By teaching kids preventative measures to protect their teeth, you are ensuring that they have the tools to have healthy smiles for life. If you are looking for a pediatric dentist in Troy who accepts Delta Dental, you are on the right website.

In addition to offering exams and cleanings, dentists on Doctors Network also provide your little one with dental sealants. These are thin pieces of film that go over their molars. They work as a protective film that forms a protective layer between their back teeth and germs. This ultimately prevents the risk of decay by up to 80 percent. It is a simple service that is very effective at preventing cavities in the future.

Fluoride treatments are another great tool that your pediatric dentists provide. Fluoride is a natural mineral that helps strengthen your child’s enamel. While enamel is one of the most durable substances our bodies produce, it can still weaken over time. When this occurs, your little one’s teeth become more susceptible to damage. Fluoride treatment prevents this from happening. Using fluoride toothpaste can also help. For more information, we invite you to schedule an appointment with one of our network dental professionals in Troy.

Many individuals would prefer to have a whiter smile. When you venture down the aisles of any grocery store, you see countless products that advertise their teeth whitening abilities. If you have used any of these, you know that they almost always provide disappointing results. However, professional tooth whitening can actually provide a brighter smile. If you are looking for a dentist in Troy, AL that accepts Delta Dental, we can help you find one that offers professional teeth whitening.

When you visit your Troy dentist, they can provide you with either an in-office or at-home treatment. Should you opt for treatment in the office, you will only have to stay for roughly an hour. When you visit the office for whitening, your dentist will apply a special bleaching gel that, when activated by a special light, will get rid of stains.

If you would prefer to go with whitening from the comfort of your home, your dentist will give you a set of custom trays that you can fill with a safe whitening solution. You will wear these for a few hours each day for about 2 weeks. Once this treatment is over, you will have a whiter and brighter smile. If you would like to book an appointment with a Troy dentist that accepts Delta Dental, we can help you find the best ones.

If it has been over six months since you last saw a dentist, you should schedule an appointment as soon as possible. When you go in for regular checkups, your dentist can closely examine your mouth to make sure nothing is awry. This helps prevent cavities from occurring, minimizing the chance of needing more expensive procedures in the future. If you need to schedule a checkup with a dentist in Troy, AL that accepts Delta Dental we can help you find a great office.

To begin your visit, a hygienist will clean your teeth thoroughly. This will remove built-up that is tough to remove at home — even with great brushing and flossing habits. The dental prophylaxis will leave your mouth feeling fresh.

Once your cleaning is completed, your Troy dentist will begin his or her examination. During this portion of your consultation, the dentist will thoroughly look at your oral cavity to identify any potential issues. If they find anything amiss, they will explain your treatment options. The Troy dental practice we set you up with will offer comprehensive services to address a variety of dental needs. If you visit the dentist regularly they can monitor the health of your smile. If you have any questions or would like to schedule an appointment with a dentist that accepts Delta Dental, we can help you find a great one.

Over 16% of Alabama residents are over the age of 65, while almost 23% are under the age of 18. For both age groups, personalized dental care is especially important. Older patients often require restoration or prosthodontic care to replace lost teeth; younger patients may need additional ongoing preventive measures, such as orthodontics, to avoid more serious issues later in life. On top of routine general dental care, treatment for seniors and children can cause the costs of your family’s dental care to skyrocket. Fortunately, Doctors Network offers families throughout Alabama a highly affordable alternative to managing dental care costs with a direct dental plan.
