Periodontal disease is very widespread. In fact, studies from the CDC reveal that about 50% of adults over 30 require treatment for periodontal concerns. Without treatment, gum disease could reach an advanced stage. Known as periodontal disease, this is actually one of the most common causes of missing teeth. All that to say, when you develop the symptoms of the disease, you need to see a professional as soon as you can. Sore, red gums that bleed easily, along with receding tissues, are common indicators that you need to find a Marbury community dental professional.

Doctor Network’s search tool can facilitate finding family dentists in Marbury AL that accept new patients and can offer a treatment plan after examining your smile. If there is a presence of gingivitis or gum disease, then a treatment plan can be created. For less severe cases, a scaling and root planing followed by traditional cleanings every 3 to 4 months could help you avoid tooth loss. In addition, children can often receive a topical fluoride gel to strengthen the outer enamel of their teeth and prevent tooth cavities. Sealants, which coat the occlusal surfaces of the posterior teeth, can protect teeth for years to come. In fact, this layer of acrylic can provide protection against tooth cavities for as long as ten years in some cases.

With routine care children not only enjoy strong and healthy smiles, but they also understand the importance of caring for their smiles. It is paramount for children to visit a pediatric dentist twice a year for dental visits and cleanings. By teaching kids how to take care of their teeth, you are ensuring that they have the tools to have healthy smiles for many years. If you are looking for a kids’ dentist in Marbury who takes patients with no dental insurance, you are on the right website.

In addition to offering exams and cleanings, pediatric dentists on Doctors Network also provide your little children with protective sealants. These are small pieces of BPA-free acrylic that dentists paint onto their molars. They work as a protective film that forms a shield between their adult molars and germs. This ultimately prevents the risk of tooth decay by up to eighty percent. It is a simple service that is very effective at preventing cavities on adult teeth in the future.

Fluoride treatments are another effective tool that your pediatric dental professionals provide. Fluoride is a naturally occurring mineral that helps fortify your children’s teeth. While enamel is one of the most durable substances our bodies produce, it can still weaken over time. When this occurs, your little one’s teeth become more susceptible to cavities. Fluoride treatment helps stop decay from occurring. Using high-fluoride toothpaste can also help. To learn more, we invite you to schedule an appointment with one of our dental practices in Marbury.

Many people would prefer to have a whiter smile. When you venture down the aisles of any pharmacy, you see myriad products that tout their teeth whitening abilities. If you have purchased any of these, you know that they almost always provide disappointing results. However, professional teeth whitening can actually produce a brighter smile. If you are looking for a dentist in Marbury, AL that works with parivate patients, we can help you find one that offers professional teeth whitening.

When you visit your Marbury dentist, they can provide you with either an at-home or in-office treatment option. With the in-office option, you will typically be out within about an hour, and you will have noticeably whiter teeth. When you come in, your dentist will apply a bleaching gel to your front teeth that is then activated with a specialized light that removes discoloration.

If you would prefer to go with whitening at home, your dentist will give you a set of custom trays that you can fill up with a safe peroxide or bleaching solution. You will wear these for one or two hours each day for roughly 2 weeks. Once this treatment is done, you will have a more radiant smile. If you would like to request a visit with a Marbury dentist that accepts parivate patients, we can help you find the best ones.

Over 16% of Alabama residents are over the age of 65, while almost 23% are under the age of 18. For both age groups, personalized dental care is especially important. Older patients often require restoration or prosthodontic care to replace lost teeth; younger patients may need additional ongoing preventive measures, such as orthodontics, to avoid more serious issues later in life. On top of routine general dental care, treatment for seniors and children can cause the costs of your family’s dental care to skyrocket. Fortunately, Doctors Network offers families throughout Alabama a highly affordable alternative to managing dental care costs with a direct dental plan.
