Grownups are not the only ones who benefit from family dentistry. Adolescents need regular checkups and cleanings as well, and they need to be monitored by a dental professional for signs of threats to their oral health. This could include dental malocclusion, or for teens, the arrival of wisdom teeth. If you need to book an appointment with a family dentist in Selmont, AL with experience treating smiles of all ages, then Doctors Network is ready to help you.

Routine examinations should begin when all baby teeth come in, and continue every six months. These visits enable your Selmont pediatric dentist to monitor smiles as they grow, and if areas of concern develop, such as toothaches, or gingivitis, then intervention might be needed. In addition, children can often receive preventive fluoride treatments to strengthen the outer enamel of their teeth and prevent tooth cavities. Dental sealants, which coat the hard-to-reach rear teeth, can lower the risk of cavities too. In fact, these protective sealants can provide protection against tooth cavities for as long as ten years in some cases.

If you are searching for family dentists in Selmont who can provide children’s dentistry, let us know. We want to help you find the right dental care provider. With routine care children not only enjoy strong and healthy smiles, but they also learn the importance of caring for their smiles. These visits can start them on the path to a lifetime of healthy gums and teeth. All of it starts with that first consultation. So, use our search tool to find the right practice for you and your children!

When spring arrives, people start going out and enjoying the weather, and of course, we want an attractive smile when we socialize, which is why many people seek to brighten their teeth. Cosmetic dentistry refers to procedures designed to improve imperfections. Teeth stains can be removed, and teeth crowding or gaps between the teeth can be corrected with braces. At Doctors Network, we understand the value of bright, healthy teeth. We want to help connect you to Selmont cosmetic dentists who take on patients who have no dental insurance and can offer the range of treatment needed to achieve a perfect smile.

The first step toward a new smile is a consultation with your cosmetic dentist in Selmont, AL. The doctor will carefully examine your smile. Using digital technology for a precise diagnosis, the dentist will assess the cause of your cosmetic concerns to find the best treatment plan. For stains, professional teeth whitening could correct discolored teeth. Dental bonding and contouring can repair teeth and mask imperfections in one visit. Gum contouring employs dental lasers to reshape the gum line and protect your periodontal health. Porcelain veneers are cosmetic restorations that change a tooth’s shape and color, and for those with uneven teeth, braces might be the treatment of choice.

According to studies by the Centers for Disease Control, over half of adults older than 30 suffer from gum disease. Without treatment, this disease could lead to painful symptoms, including bleeding gums. The advanced stage, known as periodontitis, could also cause missing teeth. This is why care from a Selmont dental professional is necessary when you begin to notice sore and bleeding gums. We can help by connecting you to one that accepts patients without dental insurance. After all, your smile is important!

How does the gum disease start? The early stages of periodontitis could occur due to poor oral hygiene habits. Some could develop it due to severe plaque and tartar buildup, or due to certain medications, tobacco use, inflammation, or even gum disease in other family members. As discussed above, warning signs include sore and bleeding gums. By seeing a dentist in Selmont, AL you can receive periodontal treatments like pocket reduction surgery to bring relief and improve your oral health. These treatments could be at least partially covered by insurance plans.

If you feel concerned, or if you simply haven’t been to a dentist since the pandemic started, you should schedule a visit. At Doctors Network, we can make sure you find dentists in Selmont who accept patients without dental insurance. A healthy and whole smile is always an option, and we can help facilitate this process!

It is important for kids to visit a pediatric dentist on a semiannual basis for dental visits and cleanings. By teaching your children preventative measures to protect their teeth, you are ensuring that they have the tools to have healthy smiles for many years. If you are looking for a dentist in Selmont who accepts private patients, you are on the right website.

In addition to offering exams and cleanings, pediatric dentists on Doctors Network also provide your kid with dental sealants. These are thin pieces of film that go over their molars. They work as a protective film that forms a barrier between their molars and germs. This ultimately prevents the risk of dental caries by up to 80%. It is a simple tool that is very effective at preventing cavities on adult teeth in the future.

Fluoride treatments are another effective tool that your kids’ dentists provide. Fluoride is a natural mineral that helps strengthen your child’s teeth. While enamel is one of the strongest substances our bodies produce, it can still weaken over time. When this occurs, your child’s teeth become more susceptible to cavities. Fluoride treatment prevents this from happening. Using fluoride toothpaste can also help. For more information, we invite you to schedule an appointment with one of our dental practices in Selmont.

Many individuals would be elated to have a whiter smile. When you venture down the aisles of any drug store, you see myriad products that tout their teeth whitening abilities. If you have used any of these, you know that they almost always provide disappointing results. However, professional teeth whitening can actually give you a brighter smile. If you are looking for a dentist in Selmont, AL that accepts uninsured patients, we can help you find one that offers professional whitening.

When you visit your Selmont dentist, they can provide you with either an in-office or at-home treatment. Should you opt for treatment in the office, you will only have to stay for roughly an hour. For this option, your dentist will apply a gel solution to your teeth that they will then activate with a special light, to remove stains.

If you would prefer to choose whitening from the comfort of your home, your dentist will give you a set of custom trays that you can use along with a safe peroxide solution. You will wear these for one or two hours each day for roughly two weeks. Once this treatment is complete, you will have a more radiant smile. If you would like to book a visit with a Selmont dentist that accepts uninsured patients, we can help you find a fantastic one.

Over 16% of Alabama residents are over the age of 65, while almost 23% are under the age of 18. For both age groups, personalized dental care is especially important. Older patients often require restoration or prosthodontic care to replace lost teeth; younger patients may need additional ongoing preventive measures, such as orthodontics, to avoid more serious issues later in life. On top of routine general dental care, treatment for seniors and children can cause the costs of your family’s dental care to skyrocket. Fortunately, Doctors Network offers families throughout Alabama a highly affordable alternative to managing dental care costs with a direct dental plan.
