Dr. Hamid is the greatest cosmetic dentist in Brooklyn. The staff at Today’s Dental is wonderful too. I’ve been a patient of Dr. Hamid’s for multiple years and couldn’t imagine going anywhere else. After changing my insurance, I reluctantly switched practices, but as soon as I could, I went back to Today’s Dental. Dr. Hamid is incredibly compassionate and honest. I trust his judgment immensely. He’s my go-to for all my dental needs. I have already recommended him to multiple family and friends.

Dr. Wong is wonderful! After having avoided the dentist for a year, I knew my neglected teeth needed help. I also knew that it would be a tough road. Admittedly, I was afraid. However, when I met Dr. Wong, things changed. He helped me relax. I didn’t feel any pain at all. The appointment was finished before I knew it. Dr. Wong is amazing. He has given me my smile and confidence back. I’m so grateful.

I’ve been to a couple dentists in Brooklyn in my lifetime and there can definitely be a significant difference in the places you go. This place is one of the good ones, everyone is very nice here, and the place is spotless. They provide great customer service and tell you what they’re going to do. My friend recommended this place to me and I’m glad I listened to her. My teeth look great and there was zero pain, unlike the last place I went to. You should definitely check out New Wave Dentistry.

The staff and Dr. Gelman are knowledgeable and nice. When I needed an emergency root canal, even though I called on a Sunday evening and they were able to get me in the next day. When I called they gave me Dr. Gelman’s personal cell phone number and she got me all settled. Places will charge you tons of money to see you in the same day, but not this place. Some places don’t even accept insurance or care credit, which means you have to pay out of pocket. I don’t have the type of money to pay $2,000 out of pocket for emergency dental care. I got in early Monday morning, got to use my insurance and care credit, got the root canal done, and then went to work right away with no pain or swollen cheek. Dr. Gelman explained everything thoroughly, and she even gave me a visual representation to show how the work was done. She followed up with me the next day himself to make sure I wasn’t in any pain. She is now my permanent dentist, and she would be even if he wasn’t in my dental network. She's made my teeth look great. I’ve recommended Absolute Dental Care and Dr. Gelman in Bayridge, Brooklyn to all my friends. They have a great staff.

Dr. Dostis is a wonderful dentist. Whenever I go to his practice, I feel well cared for and completely at ease. Typically, I’m afraid of dental work, but I’ve never had a poor experience at Ridge Dental Associates. The staff is personable, and my visits are pain free. The hygienists do a great job. I highly recommend this practice. It’s the best in Brooklyn!

I just moved to Brooklyn, NY, and my coworker referred me to Patrick J. Sciortino DDS. It’s pretty close to my home, and they have extended business hours, which helps because I work during the day. The facility is beautifully decorated and has a TV. Dr. Sciortino and his staff are so cheerful. They even checked with my insurance before I arrived to figure out the requirements for my check up/routing cleaning. Instead of scraping my teeth like most dentists do, they used a water device to clean my teeth. It gives me hope that they spend their money wisely and invest it back into their equipment to provide the best patient care. Dr. Sciortino pointed out a tooth he was worried about (I damaged it as a child). He tested to see if it was healthy and told me why they wanted to keep a close eye on it. No other dentist has ever done that for me before. I’m so certain that Dr. Sciortino and his staff at this practice will continue to give me the best dental care so that my teeth are healthy for years to come. I’ve already referred a few of my friends and family to them!

A lot happens to our smile when we lose natural teeth. Obviously, there are problems with consuming solid foods. Even speaking clearly could be a problem. However, the major problem is the loss of mass and density in the jaw. This weakens the jaw, and could even cause patients to look older. More importantly, this prevents dental implant placement. Additional treatments could be necessary to strengthen the jaw in order to make tooth replacement possible! Fortunately, Doctors Network could help you find a great Brooklyn oral and maxillofacial surgeon who is in-network with Doctors Network Discount Dental Plan and performs this care. In addition, we could also discuss our payment plans to make care affordable!

Ridge preservation is also referred to as ridge augmentation. Essentially this enables the dentist to preserve the ridge in your gums. Your dentist could use a number of different options. Tissue could be taken from the back of the jaw or the hip. Donor materials such as bovine bone particles may be recommended too. Some opt for synthetic materials. During oral surgery, these are applied to the areas of weakened structure in the mandible bone.

Once the area heals, biocompatible dental implants could be placed. The body will accept them as natural roots. As a result, they help prevent any further breakdown in the jaw, preserving your smile. Our team can connect you to a dentist or oral surgeon in Brooklyn, NY 11209 who offers this surgical procedure, and also let you know about our dental plan to make sure your care fits in your budget!

Your Brooklyn general dentist could use the extraction to improve the function, health, and even the beauty of your smile.

Now that you understand when a tooth may need an extraction, how do you seek care for one? Well, as mentioned above Doctors Network can locate a dentist in the Brooklyn, NY 11209 area. Tooth loss could lead to multiple complications for your smile. For example, this could impact your nutritional intake, or how clearly you can talk. But the most severe complication is the loss of integrity in the jaw. The body reduces the flow of phosphate and calcium to the areas without tooth roots, which in turn causes bone loss and an aged appearance and weakens the structure significantly. Which means you may not be able to receive dental implants to address gaps in your smile. But Doctors Network can connect you with a dentist in Brooklyn, NY 11209 who can strengthen your smile.

As discussed in previous posts, a ridge augmentation procedure helps strengthen the lower jaw, so it can support dental implants. But what about the the upper area? Instead of adding new tissue, your Brooklyn dentist could perform a sinus lift. Basically, the dentist will raise the sinus floor to induce the formation of new tissues. The new structure can support one or more implants. Once the new teeth are secured, this stimulates the growth of bone tissue to preserve the area. Your new teeth then stay firm for decades, possibly even a lifetime.

If you need to strengthen your weakened jawbone to support one or more dental implants, we could help. Our team can connect you with a Brooklyn, NY dentist who can address tooth loss and takes uninsured patients. When your smile is strengthened and ready, dental implants could provide a whole smile again. If you don’t have dental insurance, don’t let this stand between you and a complete smile. Instead, talk to our team about our financing option. With a monthly membership fee, you can have treatments discounted by as much as 90% in some situations. A full smile can happen!

You probably know many people who have had their wisdom teeth extracted and are eager to describe their story to you. While this can be helpful, it is still essential to consult with a oral surgeon. If you need your wisdom teeth removed, it is important to have lots of information at your disposal. This will help you understand what to expect from the procedure and what you should expect from the dentist. Luckily, Doctors Network can help you connect with a great dentist near you in Brooklyn, NY 11209 that accepts private patients.

The third molars are located in the back of your mouth, and there is one on each quadrant. They typically appear between seventeen and twenty-five. Because wisdom teeth are the last teeth to erupt, their arrival can cause complications with your existing ones. They can erupt at unusual directions, only partially erupt, or overcrowd your existing teeth. When this happens, they are probably going to be affected by harmful bacteria. If any of these situations happen, it can be very painful and can harm your dentition. If you think you might have impediments with wisdom teeth, it is important to see a Brooklyn oral surgeon or dentist as soon as possible.

If you do need wisdom teeth extraction, your oral healthcare professional will determine how they will go about the procedure to make sure everything goes according to the plan. They will determine which of your wisdom teeth need to be removed and how complex it could get. They will also determine the appropriate type of sedation and the position of your existing vital anatomy such as nerves. Once they ascertain these facts, they can extract your wisdom teeth more easily. When you come in for the procedure, you will receive the appropriate sedation, so you will not feel pain. Your dentist will extract your teeth and pay attention to your needs the entire time to make sure you are ok. Once your wisdom teeth are removed, you will be provided with information about the recovery period. Fortunately, there are many Brooklyn dentists that accept private patients and can effectively extract your wisdom teeth.

Have you ever noticed popping or crackling sound in the jaw? Do you have frequent headaches or jaw pain? If so, this could be related to two common jaw joint issues. Around 25 million people in the United States suffer from TMJ disorder or bruxism. Without treatment, these could not just cause jaw pain, but actually crack or chip a tooth! Fortunately, your friends at Doctors Network can help you find a dental office in Brooklyn, NY 11209 who accepts private patients.

While very different from one another, we often find these are related. TMJ disorder develops when the jaw joints undergo excessive strain. This could cause problems when you eat or speak. Common symptoms include pain in the jaw, head, face, and neck. Bruxism means you suffer from nightly teeth grinding. The pressure of clenching could cause jaw pain and headaches. Teeth grinding could also weaken and damage the tooth structure. This damage could lead to decay, infection, and more. Both disorders could be caused by issues that upset bite balance, and untreated TMJ disorder could mean eventual teeth grinding, and vice-versa. When you have chronic pain in your head and neck, you should find help. We can even connect you with a dentist in Brooklyn who accepts private patients.

There are, however, multiple treatment options available; for some, relief is possible following recontouring, which improves bite balance. For others, treating malocclusion with Invisalign could ease strain and stop symptoms. The most common option most dentists offer is a custom splint, which fits like a nightguard. If you need to find treatment from a Brooklyn dentist. then contact our team!

The direct dental plans that Brooklyn dentists offer are not meant to replace dental insurance. They do not operate the same, with premiums and deductibles, and they do not interfere with existing coverage plans for patients who already have insurance. By contrast, a direct dental plan is a membership that patients subscribe to for a low monthly fee, the price of which their dentists determine. The membership gives patients access to a substantially discounted fee schedule on every dental treatment they receive. For instance, regular checkup and cleaning appointments are only $25 per visit, including X-rays at no additional cost. Cosmetic and restorative services, such as teeth-whitening, Invisalign®, porcelain veneers, porcelain crowns, dental implants, and more, are all discounted, sometimes by up to 90%, to make restoring your smile more affordable.
