dental-implants-or-bridge

As kids, we lose our primary teeth as a natural part of growing up. However, in adulthood, losing teeth is often due to injury. The advanced stage of gum disease is the number one cause. Since missing teeth at adulthood isn’t natural, this means oral health complications. You could have difficulties eating. Problems talking clearly may develop. Finally, you could risk damages to your smile, or even your facial structure. You need a permanent private dentist in Smithton, MO who can replace missing teeth. Fortunately, Doctors Network can help locate one.

First, we will connect you to a dentist near you. Once we do, your new dentist can examine your smile to understand the factors behind your missing teeth. For minor cases, a dental bridge could be the best option, addressing one to three missing teeth in a row. For several missing teeth, partials could offer a solution and restore bite function. Finally, a complete denture could be crafted and secured. While most fulls and partials are removable, they could be secured with long-lasting dental implants. Dental implants are secured like natural teeth, and preserve bone density in your jawbones and facial structure following tooth loss.

If you live in the Smithton area and have unsightly gaps in your smile, let us help. We can help you get started on receiving a dental prosthetic. A full smile is possible, even if you’ve lost all of your teeth, and even if years have gone by since that happened!

P. S. Please celebrate our dentists in Nashville, TN with us this week.

sleep-apnea-treatment

When you experience a sleep disorder, you may not assume a dentist could help. But in fact, dentists can provide a non-invasive option to help you breathe better while sleeping. Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) means that when you sleep, the soft palate and the back of your mouth collapse and cause you to stop breathing. Patients literally stop breathing briefly until the brain wakes them. Even if you assume you slept well, you’re actually sleep deprived! But when should you talk to Doctors Network and find Smithton, MO dentists who offer OSA treatment?

Sings of sleep apnea could include chronic snoring. Daytime headaches, drowsiness, and trouble with interpersonal relationships could occur too. Without intervention, OSA could impact your immune system and increase the risk of high blood pressure. When you notice similar symptoms, consider talking to a dentist. Often, oral appliance therapy can be used as a CPAP alternative, so you can finally rest without sleep apnea symptoms.

This week we are celebrating our dentists near Manhattan, NY.

tooth-bonding

If you have a broken tooth or a tooth that is misshapen, then you need cosmetic dentistry. With tooth reshaping and tooth-color bonding in Smithton, MO, these aesthetic imperfections can be corrected in only one sitting. At Doctors Network, we are here to help connect you with a cosmetic dentist in Smithton, MO who takes new patients and provides the comprehensive treatments you need. You may not be aware just how much tooth-colored fillings can correct in only one appointment.

Composite bonding repairs cosmetic concerns with composite resin materials. The material, a blend of glass and acrylic particles, is shaded and applied to the teeth. Smithton dentists also use the same material to fill tooth cavities. During dental contouring, the dentist simply sands the outer tooth surfaces to correct the appearances of cosmetic concerns.

This week we are honoring our Brooklyn adult dentists. Between both treatments, these dentists can reshape malformed teeth, repair dental damage, mask teeth stains, and close gaps between teeth.

Periodontitis is very widespread. In fact, studies from the Centers for Disease Control reveal half of adults over the age of thirty have gum disease. Without treatment, gum disease could impact smile stability. Also known as periodontitis, this is actually one of the most common causes of adult tooth loss. All that to say, when you develop discomfort in the gums, you need to see a professional as soon as possible. Sore, red gums that bleed easily, along with receding tissues, are common indicators that you need to see a Smithton community dental professional.

Doctors Network can help connect you with dental surgeons in Smithton MO that accept new patients and can offer a diagnosis after examining your smile. If there is a presence of gingivitis or gum disease, then a treatment can be planned. For the early stages, a scaling and root planing followed by traditional cleanings every 3 to 4 months could safeguard the smile. For the later stages of the disease, there are options like laser dentistry, pocket reduction, gum grafts, and more to restore your gums!

There is no substitute for showing off a perfect smile, but as we age, many of us struggle with tooth loss. Missing teeth could lead to difficulty with eating and speaking, and can even lead to a prematurely aged appearance. To treat missing teeth, people often turn to dental implants. Unlike traditional prosthetics, such as dentures or fixed partial dentures, these are connected to posts inserted into your jaw. Crowns or even prosthetics like bridges are locked into these implant posts. These then act as new roots, so your new teeth can last not ten years, but possibly a lifetime with proper care.

Are you ready to tackle your tooth loss with dental implants? If you want to know how much a dental implant costs in Smithton, you are not alone, but firstly, you need to find a Smithton dentist who can offer implant dentistry. Doctors Network’s search tool can help you with this, connecting you to a dental professional who not only can address your concerns about missing teeth, but also accepts patients without dental insurance. You can even register for a Doctors Network membership plan to decrease the cost of your procedure.

The dentist will carefully examine your smile. Underlying issues like gum disease may need to be addressed before moving forward. But once completed, your dental implants will offer new teeth that look and function like natural dentition!

Missouri is the birthplace of America’s 33rd president, Harry Truman, and home to the nation’s largest beer brewery, Anheuser-Busch. Yet, it is perhaps more well-known for the St. Louis World’s Fair of 1904, which reportedly introduced most of the American foods we know and love today, including hot dogs, ice cream cones, Dr. Pepper, and much more. Today, the Show Me State is home to nearly 6.1 million residents, all of whom deserve to enjoy the benefits of exceptional dental care without having to pay exorbitant out-of-pocket costs. To help them all receive that care, Doctors Network has partnered with dentists across the state to offer patients direct dental plans directly through their dentists’ offices.

Missouri is one of the nation’s friendliest places to raise a family, and boasts a relatively low cost of living coupled with a strong economy. However, dental health care costs can be a burden to families of all backgrounds and demographics, even when they have dental insurance coverage. The goal of Doctors Network is to help dentists across Missouri offer high-quality care directly to their patients, without the exorbitant extra costs that third-party insurance companies often tack on to their plans. With a direct dental plan, you only pay a small monthly fee, which your dentist will determine, to gain access to substantial savings on your dental health care. For instance, checkup and cleaning appointments only cost $25 per visit under the plan, and treatments such as teeth-whitening, dental fillings, crowns, Invisalign®, dental implants, and more will be significantly discounted—often by up to 90%!
