Perhaps, the most common reason to look for a dentist is to address a toothache. While toothaches and sensitivity could occur for a number of reasons, including sinus concerns, one that persists for more than a day could be a sign of a deeper problem. For example, a lasting tooth pain could be caused by the presence of a cavity, the early stages of a dental abscess, or as a result of weakened tooth structure due to teeth grinding while asleep. When you have a toothache that lingers, you most likely need a dental restoration. Doctors Network can help locate dental care in the Decatur, AL area near you who takes MetLife!

When the dental professional examines you, advanced technology is used to assess the severity of the cavity. From there, the right treatment is chosen. For children and adult patients alike, a tooth-filling made from a composite resin could bring relief. A dental cap or crown could also be used to address advanced decay. When possible, the dentist will take steps to utilize more lifelike options, so they blend with the smile. If you have persistent discomfort, use our search module to connect with Decatur dentists and book an appointment.

Have you experienced popping or crackling sound in the jaw? Do you have frequent headaches or jaw pain? If so, this could be related to two common jaw joint issues. Around 25 million people in the United States suffer from TMD and teeth grinding. Without treatment, these could not only lead to painful symptoms, but actually damage the teeth too! Fortunately, your friends at Doctors Network can connect you to a dental office in Decatur, AL who accepts MetLife.

While very different from one another, these two disorders are often related. TMJ disorder develops when the joints connecting the jaw and skull are stressed. This could cause problems opening and closing the mouth fully. Common symptoms include pain in the face, head and neck, and jaw. Bruxism means you clench or grind your teeth in your sleep. The stress caused by grinding could cause headaches and jaw pain. Teeth grinding could also weaken and damage the tooth structure. This damage could lead to decayed teeth, infection, and more. Both disorders could be caused by issues that cause bite imbalance, and untreated TMJ disorder could cause bruxism, and vice-versa. When you have frequent discomfort in your head and neck, you should find help. We can even connect you with a dental professional in Decatur who accepts MetLife.

There are, however, multiple treatment options available; for some, relief is possible following crown placement, which improves bite balance. For others, treating malocclusion with Invisalign could ease strain and stop symptoms. The most common option offered by most dentists is a custom splint, which fits like a mouthguard. If you need to find treatment from a Decatur dentist. then contact our team!

Do you have a crackled or chipped tooth that requires attention? If so, the placement of a dental crown could help. The restoration is uniquely designed for your smile and can provide function, health, and beauty to your smile. Our team can help connect you to a Decatur, AL dental professional who can restore your teeth, and also who will accept MetLife. Don’t risk a lost tooth!

One of the initial signs of trouble could be a toothache. This could be due to the presence of a cavity. As tooth sensitivity worsens, you could risk an infected or abscessed tooth or even missing teeth. A trauma that fractures a tooth could also lead to complications like tooth decay or infection with time. In these situations, restorative treatment could save the tooth. If the tooth defect is too severe for a filling, then you may need crown placement.

The crown is a full restoration. Once placed, this will cover the entire outer tooth structure. They could be made from strong, biocompatible materials like gold. However, most dental professionals in the Decatur, AL area offer more lifelike options fabricated from ceramic. The total placement process takes two individual dental appointments. The restoration, whether we use a metal or more aesthetic options, will be personalized for your smile. The custom nature of this dental prosthetic ensures a balanced bite, protecting your teeth from complications like temporomandibular joint disorders. If you have a tooth that needs restoration then contact Doctors Network. We can help you find the dental offices that meet your needs and take MetLife.

It is paramount for kids to visit the dentist twice a year for dental visits and cleanings. By teaching kids how to take care of their teeth, you are ensuring that they have the tools to have healthy smiles for life. If you are looking for a kids’ dentist in Decatur who takes MetLife, you are on the right website.

In addition to offering examinations and cleanings, pediatric dentists on Doctors Network also provide your kid with protective sealants. Sealants are thin layers of film that go on top of their back teeth. They work as a protective film that forms a barrier between their permanent teeth and harmful bacteria. This ultimately prevents the risk of cavities by up to eighty percent. It is a simple treatment that is very effective at preventing the need for fillings in the future.

Fluoride treatments are another effective tool that your kids’ dentists provide. Fluoride is a natural mineral that helps strengthen your children’s teeth. While enamel is one of the strongest substances our bodies produce, it can still weaken over time. When this occurs, your little one’s teeth become more susceptible to cavities. This procedure helps mitigate this damage. Using high-fluoride toothpaste can also help. For more information, please schedule an appointment with one of our pediatric dentists in Decatur.

Many folks would be elated to have a whiter smile. When you walk down the aisles of any grocery store, you see myriad products that tout their teeth whitening abilities. If you have purchased any of these, you know that they almost always provide disappointing results. However, professional tooth whitening can actually produce a brighter smile. If you are looking for a dentist in Decatur, AL that accepts MetLife, we can help you find one that offers professional tooth whitening.

When you visit your Decatur dental care provider, they can provide you with either an in-office or even at-home treatment option. If you choose the in-office treatment, you will have brighter teeth within about an hour. For this option, your dentist will apply a gel solution to your teeth that they will then activate with a special light, to remove stains.

If you would prefer to get whitening from the comfort of your home, your dentist will give you a set of custom trays that you can use along with a safe whitening solution. You will put these on for a couple of hours each day for roughly two weeks. Once this treatment is over, you will have a whiter and brighter smile. If you would like to book a consultation online with a Decatur dentist that accepts MetLife, we can help you find the best ones.

Over 16% of Alabama residents are over the age of 65, while almost 23% are under the age of 18. For both age groups, personalized dental care is especially important. Older patients often require restoration or prosthodontic care to replace lost teeth; younger patients may need additional ongoing preventive measures, such as orthodontics, to avoid more serious issues later in life. On top of routine general dental care, treatment for seniors and children can cause the costs of your family’s dental care to skyrocket. Fortunately, Doctors Network offers families throughout Alabama a highly affordable alternative to managing dental care costs with a direct dental plan.
