A common reason to search for a dentist is to address a toothache. While toothaches and sensitivity could occur for many different reasons, including sinus concerns, one that persists for more than a day could be a sign of a deeper problem. For instance, a persistent toothache could be caused by the presence of a cavity, the early stages of a dental abscess, or as a result of weakened enamel due to teeth grinding. When you have a toothache that lingers, you probably need a dentist. Doctors Network can help connect you to a dentist in the Elberta, AL area near you who takes MetLife!

When the dental professional examines your teeth, imaging technology is used to assess the severity of the cavity. From there, the right treatment is chosen. For kids and adult patients alike, a tooth-filling made from a composite resin could bring relief. A crown could also be used to treat major cavities. When possible, the dentist will take steps to utilize more lifelike options, so they ensure an attractive smile. If you have persistent discomfort, use our search module to connect with Elberta dentists and request an appointment.

Have you ever noticed popping or cracking when you open your mouth? Do you have persistent migraines? If so, this could be related to two common jaw joint issues. Around twenty-five million people in the United States suffer from TMJ disorder or bruxism. Without treatment, these could not only lead to painful symptoms, but actually crack or chip a tooth! Fortunately, your friends at Doctors Network can help you find a dentist in Elberta, AL who accepts MetLife.

While very different from one another, these two disorders are often related. TMJ disorder develops when the joints connecting the jaw and skull are stressed. This could cause problems with jaw function. Common symptoms include pain in the jaw, head, and neck. Bruxism means you clench or grind your teeth in your sleep. The stress caused by grinding could cause jaw pain and headaches. Teeth grinding could also fracture or break your teeth. This damage could lead to decay, infection, and more. Both disorders could be caused by issues that cause bite imbalance, and untreated TMJ disorder could lead to bruxism, and vice-versa. When you have chronic pain in your head and neck, you should find help. We can even connect you with a dental professional in Elberta who accepts MetLife.

There are, however, multiple treatment options available; for some, relief is possible following recontouring, which improves bite balance. For others, treating malocclusion with orthodontic treatment could ease strain and stop symptoms. The most common option offered by most dental professionals is an oral splint, which fits like a mouthguard. If you need to find treatment from a Elberta dentist. then contact our team!

Do you have a severely decayed tooth that needs treatment? If so, the placement of a dental crown could prevent further complications. The restoration is uniquely designed for your dentition and can provide beauty and health to your smile. Our team can help find you a Elberta, AL dentist who can restore your smile, and also who will accept MetLife. Do not risk an abscessed tooth!

One of the first signs of trouble could be an aching tooth. This could be due to the presence of tooth decay. As discomfort worsens, you could risk the spread of infection or even missing teeth. A trauma that breaks a tooth could also lead to complications like infection and tooth decay with time. In these situations, restorative treatment could stop discomfort. If the tooth defect is too severe for a dental filling, then you may need a full dental restoration.

The crown is a full restoration. Once placed, this will cover everything above the gum line. They could be made from durable, biocompatible materials like silver. However, many dental professionals in the Elberta, AL area offer more natural options crafted from resin. The total placement process takes two individual appointments. The restoration, whether we use a metal or more lifelike options, will be created specifically for your tooth. The custom nature of this dental prosthetic provides a balanced bite, protecting your teeth from the onset of bruxism. If you have a tooth that needs treatment then use Doctors Network. We can help you find the dental offices that meet your needs and accept MetLife.

It is paramount for your little ones to visit a dental professional bi-yearly for dental visits and cleanings. By teaching children how to take care of their teeth, you are ensuring that they have the knowledge to have healthy smiles for many years. If you are looking for a kids dentist in Elberta who accepts MetLife, you are on the right website.

In addition to offering exams and cleanings, pediatric dentists on Doctors Network also provide your kid with dental sealants. Sealants are thin layers of film that go on top of their back teeth. They work as a protective film that forms a protective layer between their back teeth and bacteria. This ultimately prevents the risk of tooth decay by up to 80%. It is a simple service that is very effective at preventing cavities on adult teeth in the future.

Fluoride treatments are another effective tool that your kids’ dentists provide. Fluoride is a natural mineral that helps strengthen your children’s enamel layer. While enamel is one of the strongest substances our bodies produce, it can still weaken over time. When this occurs, your kid’s teeth become more susceptible to decay. Fluoride treatment helps stop decay from occurring. Using fluoride toothpaste can also help. For more information, we invite you to schedule an appointment with one of our pediatric dentists in Elberta.

Many individuals would be ecstatic to have a whiter smile. When you stroll down the aisles of any grocery store, you see myriad products that promote their teeth whitening abilities. If you have purchased any of these, you know that they almost always provide lackluster results. However, professional teeth whitening can actually give you a brighter smile. If you are looking for a dentist in Elberta, AL that accepts MetLife, we can help you find one that offers professional tooth whitening.

When you visit your Elberta dental practice, they can provide you with either an in-office or at-home treatment. If you choose the in-office treatment, you will have brighter teeth within about an hour. When you visit the office for whitening, your dentist will apply a special bleaching gel that, when activated by a special light, will get rid of stains.

If you would prefer to go with an at-home treatment, your dentist will give you a set of custom trays that you can use along with a safe peroxide solution. You will wear these for one or two hours each day for roughly two weeks. Once this treatment is over, you will have a brighter smile. If you would like to request an appointment online with a Elberta dentist that takes MetLife, we can help you find a great one.

Over 16% of Alabama residents are over the age of 65, while almost 23% are under the age of 18. For both age groups, personalized dental care is especially important. Older patients often require restoration or prosthodontic care to replace lost teeth; younger patients may need additional ongoing preventive measures, such as orthodontics, to avoid more serious issues later in life. On top of routine general dental care, treatment for seniors and children can cause the costs of your family’s dental care to skyrocket. Fortunately, Doctors Network offers families throughout Alabama a highly affordable alternative to managing dental care costs with a direct dental plan.
