Dr. Greg Hawkins knew that dentistry was his calling after his own dentist helped him deal with a bad oral health situation as a child. He realized that he wanted to do the same for others and started on the track to becoming a dentist. Dr. Hawkins attended Holly Pond High School, then went on to Auburn University where he completed his undergraduate studies by 1983. He graduated from the University of Alabama School of Dentistry in 1988. Since then, he has been a practicing dentist, working closely with his patients to treat their conditions and provide them with long-lasting solutions.

When a tooth becomes abscessed, treatment is necessary. Without care, the tooth could become necrotic. At this stage, the tooth might need to be extracted. Otherwise, the infection moves into surrounding teeth. If posible, a better treatment for an infected tooth is a root canal. This procedure is effective, but sometimes a tooth becomes infected again and requires additional care. You may need to find one of our knowledgeable Ardmore emergency dentists for additional endodontic treatment.

Root canal treatment involves removing the tissues from inside of the tooth. The interiors and root canals are cleaned, and a restorative material known as gutta-percha is then administered. In many cases, the tooth is then restored with a tooth crown. The restoration is often custom-made to protect the tooth and also blend with the smile. But if the procedure is not successful, the health of the tooth could be questionable. The tooth could begin developing symptoms, such as toothaches and pain when eating. If you experience this type of discomfort, do not risk missing teeth. Doctors Network can help you find a dentist in Ardmore, AL that can offer another root canal and accepts new patients.

If you don’t have an insurance plan don’t let that discourage you! Doctors Network can offer a discount dental plan to make care affordable. With a simple monthly rate, you can obtain a root canal retreatment without breaking the bank!

When a tooth is grossly decayed, it could become infected. The presence of infection means serious discomfort, and without intervention, it could lead to tooth loss. This is why your tooth may need root canal therapy. Fortunately, there are options available to treat an infection. Our network can help connect you to a Ardmore dental office for endodontic treatment. We can also help find a dentist that accepts uninsured patients.

A dental infection means that harmful anaerobic bacteria have made contact with sensitive tooth structure. The pulp is the nerve center of the tooth, and it ensures a functional tooth. Lack of treatment for an infection could allow serious discomfort. A common warning sign of trouble could include toothaches. Don’t ignore common warning signs. Talk to our team about finding a Ardmore dentist who accepts uninsured patients and other forms of coverage.

A root canal procedure is a comfortable treatment that can be completed in one sitting. Essentially, after the dental specialist plans the treatment, the diseased pulp tissues are removed from within. The interior of the tooth is cleaned, and gutta percha is added. The last step involves capping the tooth with a custom-made dental crown. The cap is designed to protect the tooth and look natural. This procedure stops the spread of infection.

Improved diet and oral hygiene habits can help lower your risk of future tooth cavity and dental infections. Checkups and cleanings help as well. If you’re looking for root canal therapy in Ardmore for infected teeth, talk to Doctors Network or book an online appointment. You have options, and we know how to find practices that accept uninsured patients.

It is crucial for children to visit the dentist on a semiannual basis for checkups and cleanings. By teaching your kids preventative measures to protect their teeth, you are ensuring that they have the knowledge to have healthy smiles for ever. If you are looking for a pediatric dental professional in Ardmore who takes patients with no dental coverge, you are on the right website.

In addition to offering checkups and cleanings, dentists on Doctors Network also provide your kids with protective sealants. These are small pieces of BPA-free acrylic that dentists paint onto their molars. They work as a protective film that forms a barrier between their molars and bacteria. This ultimately prevents the risk of dental caries by up to eighty percent. It is a simple service that is very effective at preventing the need for fillings in the future.

Fluoride treatments are another effective tool that your pediatric dentists provide. Fluoride is a naturally occurring mineral that helps bolster your child’s enamel. While enamel is one of the strongest substances our bodies produce, it can still weaken over time. When this occurs, your little one’s teeth become more susceptible to dental caries. Fluoride treatment helps stop decay from occurring. Using fluoride toothpaste can also help. To learn more, we encourage you to schedule an appointment with one of our pediatric dentists in Ardmore.

Many folks would prefer to have a whiter smile. When you walk down the aisles of any grocery store, you see numerous products that promote their teeth whitening abilities. If you have used any of these, you know that they almost always provide lackluster results. However, professional tooth bleaching can actually provide a brighter smile. If you are looking for a dentist in Ardmore, AL that accepts self-pay patients, we can help you find one that offers professional whitening.

When you visit your Ardmore dental care provider, they can provide you with either an at-home or in-office treatment option. With the in-office option, you will typically be out within about an hour, and you will have noticeably whiter teeth. For this option, your dentist will apply a gel solution to your teeth that they will then activate with a special light, to remove stains.

If you would prefer to choose whitening at home, your dentist will give you a set of custom trays that you can fill up with a safe whitening solution. You will wear these for a couple of hours each day for roughly 2 weeks. Once this treatment is done, you will have a whiter and brighter smile. If you would like to schedule a visit online with a Ardmore dentist that accepts self-pay patients, we can help you find the best ones.

If it has been a long time since you last saw a dentist, you should schedule an appointment soon. When you go in for bi-annual checkups, your dentist can closely examine your smile to make sure nothing is awry. This helps prevent decay from occurring, minimizing the chance of needing more costly procedures at a later time. If you need to schedule an online appointment with a dentist in Ardmore, AL that takes patients who do not have insurance we can help you find a great match.

When you visit your dentist for a checkup, they will start with a thorough cleaning. This will remove tartar and plaque that is hard to remove at home — even with fantastic brushing and flossing habits. The dental cleaning will leave your smile feeling fresh.

Once your cleaning is done, your Ardmore dentist will begin her or his examination. During this portion of your appointment, the dentist will thoroughly look at your oral cavity to identify any potential problems. If they find anything amiss, they can suggest the proper treatment. The Ardmore dental practice we set you up with will offer a wide range of services to address a variety of dental complications. If you visit the dentist regularly they can keep track of the health of your teeth. If you have any questions or would like to schedule an appointment with a dentist that takes patients who do not have insurance, we can help you find a great one.

Over 16% of Alabama residents are over the age of 65, while almost 23% are under the age of 18. For both age groups, personalized dental care is especially important. Older patients often require restoration or prosthodontic care to replace lost teeth; younger patients may need additional ongoing preventive measures, such as orthodontics, to avoid more serious issues later in life. On top of routine general dental care, treatment for seniors and children can cause the costs of your family’s dental care to skyrocket. Fortunately, Doctors Network offers families throughout Alabama a highly affordable alternative to managing dental care costs with a direct dental plan.
