As children, we lose our baby teeth as a natural part of growing up. However, in adulthood, losing teeth is often due to injury. Periodontitis leads to major tooth loss. Since losing teeth at adulthood isn’t natural, this means oral health complications. You could have difficulties with nutritional intake. Problems articulating clearly may develop. Finally, you could risk damages to your smile alignment, or even your facial structure. You need an awesome private dentist in Midway, AL who can replace missing teeth. Fortunately, Doctors Network can help find a local dentist.

First, we will help connect you to a dedicated dentist in your location who accepts your insurance. Then, your new dentist can inspect your smile to understand the factors behind your tooth loss. For minor cases, a dental bridge could be the best option, restoring smile function. For multiple gaps, partial dentures could offer a solution and restore bite function. Finally, a complete set of dentures could be custom-made. While most complete dentures and partial dentures are removable, they could be secured with dental implants. Dental implants are secured like natural teeth, and stimulate bone preservation in your alveolar bone and facial structure following losing a tooth.

If you live in the Midway‘s proximity and have lost your natural teeth, let us help. We can get you started on receiving bridges or dentures. Model-worthy teeth are within reach, even if you’ve suffered complete tooth loss, and even if years have gone by since that happened!

P. S. Please celebrate our dentists in Nashville, TN with us this week.

When you have a toothache, or a tooth that is damaged, you need dental care. Otherwise, the tooth could develop cavities and infections. Soon, there is a risk of not only a lost tooth, but a spread of infection to other teeth. But sometimes, the issue is beyond the stage to be treated with a tooth filling or a root canal. Instead, the tooth could require immediate removal. At Doctors Network, our team can help you find a great dentist or oral surgeon in Midway, AL who can offer a gentle tooth extraction as needed.

As we discussed earlier, advanced decay or injury could be why a tooth needs extraction. But a dentist could also remove one that is loosened by gum disease. Extracting a tooth could return balance and chewing function. Extraction could also provide room for treatment with braces! In many cases, this could prevent wisdom tooth impaction. Removing wisdom teeth prior to eruption helps preserve the balance and overall esthetics. For people with advanced tooth loss, removing the last few teeth essentially paves the way for full or partial dentures. Your Midway dentist could use the extraction to improve the function and health of your smile.

Now that you understand why and when a tooth may need an extraction, how do you seek care for one? Well, as mentioned above Doctors Network can find your dentist in the Midway, AL area. But if you don’t have dental insurance, you may worry about costs. Fortunately, we have a payment plan! Our dental membership plan is opened with an initial fee and maintained with a small fee each month. For some, this could reduce the cost of care by up to 90%!

You probably know many people who have had their wisdom teeth extracted and are eager to tell their experiences to you. While this can be helpful, it is still necessary to consult with a dental professional. If you need these teeth extracted, it is important to have a wide range of information at your disposal. This will help you understand what to expect from wisdom teeth removal and what you should look for in a dentist. Luckily, Doctors Network can help you connect with a great dentist near you in Midway, AL that accepts self-pay patients.

The third molars or wisdom teeth are located in the back of the mouth, and there are two on the top and two on the bottom. They most commonly appear between seventeen and twenty-five. Because they are the last teeth to erupt, their presence can cause issues with your existing ones. They can erupt at unusual angles, only partially erupt, or overcrowd your existing teeth. When this happens, they are more susceptible to bacteria and infections. If any of these situations happen, it can be very uncomfortable and can damage your existing teeth. If you think you might have issues with wisdom teeth eruption, it is important to see a Midway dentist quickly.

If you do need wisdom tooth extraction, your oral healthcare professional will determine how they will go about the procedure to make sure everything goes according to the plan. They will decide which of your wisdom teeth need to be removed and how complex it will be. They will also assess the appropriate type of sedation and the position of your existing teeth. Once they ascertain these facts, they can extract your wisdom teeth more easily. When you come in for the procedure, you will receive the appropriate sedation option, so you will not experience any pain. Your dentist will extract your teeth and monitor you the entire time to make sure you are ok. Once your wisdom teeth are extracted, you will receive information about the recovery period. Fortunately, there are many Midway dentists that accept self-pay patients and can adeptly extract your wisdom teeth.

It is paramount for kids to visit the dentist on a semiannual basis for exams and cleanings. By teaching kids how to take care of their teeth, you are ensuring that they have the skills to have healthy smiles for life. If you are looking for a pediatric dental professional in Midway who takes private patients, you are on the right website.

In addition to offering examinations and cleanings, dentists on Doctors Network also provide your kids with sealants. These are small pieces of BPA-free acrylic that dentists paint onto their molars. They work as a protective film that forms a barrier between their back molars and germs. This ultimately prevents the risk of cavities by up to 80%. It is a simple procedure that is very effective at preventing cavities on adult teeth in the future.

Fluoride treatments are another effective tool that your kids’ dentists provide. Fluoride is a naturally occurring mineral that helps bolster your children’s enamel layer. While enamel is one of the strongest substances our bodies produce, it can still weaken over time. When this occurs, your child’s teeth become more susceptible to cavities. This procedure helps mitigate this damage. Using high-fluoride toothpaste can also help. For more information, we invite you to schedule an appointment with one of our pediatric dentists in Midway.

Many individuals would be elated to have a whiter smile. When you walk down the aisles of any pharmacy, you see countless products that tout their teeth whitening abilities. If you have purchased any of these, you know that they almost always provide unsatisfying results. However, professional tooth whitening can actually provide a brighter smile. If you are looking for a dentist in Midway, AL that takes uninsured patients, we can help you find one that offers professional tooth whitening.

When you visit your Midway dental care provider, they can provide you with either an at-home or in-office option. With the in-office option, you will typically be out within about an hour, and you will have noticeably whiter teeth. For this option, your dentist will apply a gel solution to your teeth that they will then activate with a special light, to remove stains.

If you would prefer to get whitening from the comfort of your home, your dentist will give you a set of custom trays that you can fill up with a safe bleaching solution. You will put these on for one or two hours each day for roughly two weeks. Once this treatment is done, you will have a whiter smile. If you would like to schedule an appointment online with a Midway dentist that takes uninsured patients, we can help you find a fantastic one.

If it has been over six months since you last visited a dentist, you probably should schedule a consultation soon. When you go in for regular dental checkups, your dentist can thoroughly examine your mouth to make sure nothing is awry. This helps prevent carious lesions from occurring, minimizing the chance of needing more invasive procedures at a later time. If you need to schedule an online appointment with a dentist in Midway, AL that takes patients who are uninsured we can help you find a great match.

When you visit your dentist for a checkup, they will start with a thorough cleaning. This will remove tartar that is tough to remove at home — even with fantastic brushing and flossing habits. The cleaning will leave your mouth feeling rejuvenated.

Once your cleaning is done, your Midway dentist will begin her or his examination. During this portion of your appointment, the dentist will thoroughly look at your teeth to identify any potential problems. In case anything is out of the ordinary, they can suggest the proper treatment. The Midway dental practice we set you up with will offer comprehensive services to address a variety of dental conditions. When you visit the dentist consistently they can monitor the health of your smile. If you have any questions or would like to schedule a visit with a dentist that accepts patients who are uninsured, we can help you find a great one.

Over 16% of Alabama residents are over the age of 65, while almost 23% are under the age of 18. For both age groups, personalized dental care is especially important. Older patients often require restoration or prosthodontic care to replace lost teeth; younger patients may need additional ongoing preventive measures, such as orthodontics, to avoid more serious issues later in life. On top of routine general dental care, treatment for seniors and children can cause the costs of your family’s dental care to skyrocket. Fortunately, Doctors Network offers families throughout Alabama a highly affordable alternative to managing dental care costs with a direct dental plan.
