Sharleen B.

After going to my usual dentist for 6 years, I got really sick of waiting for them to get to my appointment, hasty cleaning and procedures, and incomplete dental assessments, so I started looking for a new dentist. I’m so glad I went to Schambeau Dental Care in Bessemer, AL! The second I set foot in the office, all the staff members were extremely friendly and very helpful, answering any questions I had. After waiting only 2 minutes, they took me to the back. They thoroughly but quickly assessed my gums and teeth. Afterward, Dr. Schambeau told me that I needed a crown on one of my teeth. He taught me what the crown is used for and even explained what he was seeing in my x-rays. After I gave him the go-ahead, he started the procedure the same day, placing a temporary crown over my tooth. Dr. Schambeau was fantastic! I didn’t even have any pain during the procedure, and he and the hygienist were both very conscientious. They told me my permanent crown would be ready in 2 weeks, but it was actually done in under 1 week. I just had my permanent crown placed, and I can honestly say that Schambeau Dental Care did a fantastic job. I highly recommend them to all my family and friends!

As children, we lose our deciduous teeth over time. However, in adulthood, losing teeth is caused by oral health issues. Periodontal disease could be responsible as well. Since missing teeth at this age isn’t natural, this means problems. You could have difficulties eating. Problems talking are a common consequence. Finally, you could risk damages to your smile, or even your facial structure. You need a skilled in-network dentist in Warrior, AL who can correct your tooth loss. Fortunately, Doctors Network can help you on the road to a full smile.

First, we will connect you to an experienced dentist in your location who accepts your insurance. Once we do, your new dentist can examine your smile to assess your tooth loss. For minor cases, a dental bridge could be the best option, addressing one to three missing teeth in a row. For several missing teeth, partials could offer a solution and address complicated tooth loss. Finally, a complete denture or CD could be prescribed. While most fulls and partials are removable, they could be secured with titanium implants. Dental implants essentially look and function like natural teeth, and stimulate bone preservation in your alveolar bone and facial structure following missing a tooth.

If you live in the Warrior‘s neighborhoods and have unsightly gaps in your smile, let us help. We can get you started on receiving bridges or dentures. Model-worthy teeth are within reach, even if you’ve suffered edentulism, and even if years have elapsed since that happened!

P. S. Please celebrate our dentists in Nashville, TN with us this week.

When you have a toothache, or a tooth that is broken or cracked, you need dental care. Otherwise, the tooth could develop cavities and infections. Soon, there is a risk of not only missing teeth, but a spread of infection to other areas of the jaw. But sometimes, the damage or cavity is beyond the stage to be treated with a tooth filling. Instead, the tooth could require immediate removal. At Doctors Network, our team can help you book an online appointment with a great dentist or oral surgeon in Warrior, AL who can offer a effective tooth removal as needed.

As we touched on above, severe cavities or injury could be why a tooth needs extraction. But a dentist could also remove one that is loosened by gum disease. Removing a tooth could improve bite balance and chewing function. Extraction could also provide room for correcting misalignment! In many cases, this could prevent the negative impact of wisdom tooth eruption. Removing wisdom teeth prior to eruption helps preserve the balance and overall esthetics. For people with advanced tooth loss, removing the last few teeth essentially paves the way for full or partial dentures. Your Warrior general dentist could use this to improve the health, function, and surprisingly, sometimes the appearance of your smile.

Now that you understand why and when a tooth may need an extraction, how do you seek care for one? Well, as mentioned above Doctors Network can find your dentist in the Warrior, AL area. But if you don’t have dental insurance, you may worry about the cost. Fortunately, we have a direct payment plan! Our dental membership plan is opened with an initial fee and maintained with a monthly fee. For some, this could discount care by up to 90 percent!

You probably know many people who have had their wisdom teeth pulled and are eager to tell their story to you. While this can be helpful, it is still crucial to consult with a professional. If you need your wisdom teeth extracted, it is best to have lots of information at your disposal. This will help you understand what to expect from the procedure and what you should look for in a dentist. Luckily, Doctors Network can help you connect with a great oral surgeon near you in Warrior, AL that accepts private patients.

The third molars or wisdom teeth are in the back of the mouth, and there are two on the top and two on the bottom. They typically appear between the ages of seventeen and twenty-five. Because wisdom teeth are the last teeth to erupt, their presence can cause problems with your existing ones. They can erupt at odd directions, only partially erupt, or overcrowd your existing teeth. When this happens, they are more susceptible to bacteria and infections. If any of these conditions take place, it can be very painful and can harm your teeth. If you think you might have impediments with wisdom teeth coming in, it is important to see a Warrior oral surgeon or dentist quickly.

If you in fact need wisdom tooth removal, your oral healthcare professional will determine how they will go about the procedure to make certain everything goes without complications. They will decide which of your wisdom teeth need to be removed and how complex it will be. They will also assess the appropriate type of sedation and the condition of your existing vital anatomy such as nerves. Once they ascertain these facts, they can extract your wisdom teeth more easily. When you come in for the procedure, you will receive the appropriate anesthesia, so you will not feel pain. Your dentist will extract your teeth and monitor you the entire time to make sure you are doing well. Once your wisdom teeth are extracted, you will get information about the recovery period. Fortunately, there are many Warrior dentists that accept private patients and can skillfully extract your wisdom teeth.

It is imperative for your little ones to visit a pediatric dentist on a semiannual basis for dental visits and cleanings. By teaching children great oral health habits, you are ensuring that they have the knowledge to have healthy smiles for life. If you are looking for a pediatric dental office in Warrior who takes private patients, you are on the right website.

In addition to offering examinations and cleanings, dentists on Doctors Network also provide your kid with sealants. These are thin pieces of film that go over their molars. They work as a protective film that forms a barrier between their adult teeth and harmful germs. This ultimately prevents the risk of cavities by up to 80 percent. It is a simple service that is very effective at preventing cavities on adult teeth in the future.

Fluoride treatments are another great tool that your pediatric dental professionals provide. Fluoride is a natural mineral that helps bolster your children’s enamel. While enamel is one of the strongest substances our bodies produce, it can still weaken over time. When this occurs, your child’s teeth become more susceptible to decay. Fluoride treatment prevents this from happening. Using fluoride toothpaste can also help. To learn more, we encourage you to schedule an appointment with one of our dental practices in Warrior.

Many individuals would be ecstatic to have a whiter smile. When you venture down the aisles of any pharmacy, you see myriad products that advertise their teeth whitening abilities. If you have tried any of these, you know that they almost always provide lackluster results. However, professional tooth whitening can actually give you a brighter smile. If you are looking for a dentist in Warrior, AL that works with self-pay patients, we can help you find one that offers professional whitening.

When you visit your Warrior dental practice, they can provide you with either an in-office or even at-home option. Should you opt for treatment in the office, you will only have to stay for roughly an hour. For this option, your dentist will apply a gel solution to your teeth that they will then activate with a special light, to remove stains.

If you would prefer to choose an at-home treatment, your dentist will give you a set of custom trays that you can use along with a safe bleaching solution. You will wear these for one or two hours each day for about 2 weeks. Once this treatment is complete, you will have a whiter smile. If you would like to schedule a visit online with a Warrior dentist that takes self-pay patients, we can help you find a fantastic one.

Over 16% of Alabama residents are over the age of 65, while almost 23% are under the age of 18. For both age groups, personalized dental care is especially important. Older patients often require restoration or prosthodontic care to replace lost teeth; younger patients may need additional ongoing preventive measures, such as orthodontics, to avoid more serious issues later in life. On top of routine general dental care, treatment for seniors and children can cause the costs of your family’s dental care to skyrocket. Fortunately, Doctors Network offers families throughout Alabama a highly affordable alternative to managing dental care costs with a direct dental plan.
