Sam H.

I went to Dr. Schambeau at Schambeau Dental Care in Bessemer for a second opinion after another dentist said I’d need about $3,000 worth of work and a root canal during my first visit even though I didn’t feel any pain. Dr. Schambeau said that I did need some dental work, but not as much as the other dentist said. And he charged me a fair price. He not only saved me money but communicated with me while he worked on my mouth and let me know when I might feel discomfort or was about to fill in a cavity. He definitely made me feel more comfortable. Everyone I met at Schambeau Dental Care was very kind and welcoming. They were patient and even helped me resolve a problem with my insurance. I will be back, and I highly recommend them to anyone in Bessemer, AL!

Perhaps, the most common reason to seek dental care is to address discomfort caused by cavities. While temporary aches could occur for many different reasons, including sinus concerns or changes in elevation, one that persists for more than a day could be a sign of a deeper problem. For instance, a lasting tooth pain could be caused by tooth decay, the early stages of a dental abscess, or as a result of weakened enamel due to teeth grinding. When you have an aching tooth that does not subside, you most likely need a tooth-filling. Doctors Network can help connect you to a dentist in the Wilton, AL area near you who takes United Healthcare!

When the dental professional examines your smile, digital x-rays are used to assess the severity of the cavity. then, the appropriate treatment option is chosen. For kids and adult patients alike, a dental filling made from a composite resin could bring relief. A crown could also be used to treat more severe cases. When possible, the dentist will take steps to utilize more lifelike options, so they ensure an attractive smile. If you have persistent discomfort, use our search page to find Wilton emergency dentists and request an appointment.

Have you experienced a popping sensation in your jaw? Do you have persistent migraines? If so, this could be related to a common but serious oral health issue. Around 25 million people in the United States suffer from TMJ disorder or bruxism. Without treatment, these could not only cause pain, but actually crack or chip a tooth! Fortunately, your friends at Doctors Network can help you find a dental office in Wilton, AL who accepts United Healthcare.

While very different from one another, one often increases the risk of the other. TMJ disorder develops when the jaw joints undergo excessive strain. This could cause problems with jaw function. Common symptoms include pain in the jaw, head, face, and neck. Bruxism means you suffer from nightly teeth grinding. The pressure of clenching could cause jaw pain and headaches. Teeth grinding could also damage teeth. This damage could lead to decay, infection, and more. Both disorders could be caused by issues that cause bite imbalance, and untreated TMJ disorder could lead to bruxism, and vice-versa. When you have persistent pain in your head and neck, you should find help. We can even connect you with a dentist in Wilton who accepts United Healthcare.

There are, however, multiple treatment options available; for some, relief is possible following dental bonding, which improves bite balance. For others, treating misalignment with orthodontic treatment could ease strain and stop symptoms. The most common option most dentists offer is an oral appliance, which fits like a mouthguard. If you need to find treatment from a Wilton dentist. then contact our team!

Do you have a crackled or chipped tooth that requires attention? If so, the placement of a dental crown could prevent further complications. The restoration is custom-made for your smile and can return beauty and health to your smile. Our team can help find you a Wilton, AL dental professional who can restore your teeth, and also who will accept United Healthcare. Do not risk an abscessed tooth!

Your first signs of trouble could be an aching tooth. This could be due to the presence of tooth decay. As toothache worsens, you could risk the spread of infection or even missing teeth. A trauma that chips a tooth could also lead to complications like infection with time. In these situations, restorative treatment is usually necessary. If the problem is too severe for a dental filling, then you may need to receive a dental crown.

The dental crown is a full restoration. Once placed, this will cover everything above the gum line. They could be made from strong materials like metal alloys. However, many cosmetic dentists in the Wilton, AL area offer more natural options fabricated from porcelain. The total placement process takes about two visits to complete. The dental crown, whether we use a metal or more natural-looking options, will be personalized for your smile. The custom nature of this dental prosthetic helps ensure a balanced bite, protecting your dentition from the development of TMD. If you have teeth that need treatment then use Doctors Network. We can help you find the dental offices that fit your needs and accept United Healthcare.

It is imperative for children to visit a dental professional on a biannual basis for exams and cleanings. By teaching kids great oral health habits, you are ensuring that they have the knowledge to have healthy smiles for many years. If you are looking for a kids’ dentist in Wilton who takes United Healthcare, you are on the right website.

In addition to offering biannual dental checkups and cleanings, pediatric dentists on Doctors Network also provide your kids with dental sealants. These are thin pieces of film that go over their molars. They work as a protective film that forms a protective layer between their molars and germs. This ultimately prevents the risk of dental caries by up to 80%. It is a simple treatment that is very effective at preventing cavities in the future.

Fluoride treatments are another proven tool that your pediatric dental professionals provide. Fluoride is a naturally occurring mineral that helps bolster your children’s enamel. While enamel is one of the strongest substances our bodies produce, it can still weaken over time. When this occurs, your kid’s teeth become more susceptible to decay. Fluoride treatment prevents this from happening. Using fluoride toothpaste can also help. For more information, we invite you to schedule an appointment with one of our pediatric dentists in Wilton.

Many folks would prefer to have a whiter smile. When you stroll down the aisles of any drug store, you see countless products that promote their teeth whitening abilities. If you have tried any of these, you know that they almost always provide lackluster results. However, professional teeth whitening can actually produce a brighter smile. If you are looking for a dentist in Wilton, AL that takes United Healthcare, we can help you find one that offers professional whitening.

When you visit your Wilton dental practice, they can provide you with either an at-home or in-office treatment. Should you opt for treatment in the office, you will only have to stay for roughly an hour. When you visit the office for whitening, your dentist will apply a special bleaching gel that, when activated by a special light, will get rid of stains.

If you would prefer to choose an at-home treatment, your dentist will give you a set of custom trays that you can use along with a safe bleaching solution. You will put these on for a few hours each day for approximately 2 weeks. Once this treatment is complete, you will have a brighter smile. If you would like to schedule an appointment with a Wilton dentist that takes United Healthcare, we can help you find a great one.

Over 16% of Alabama residents are over the age of 65, while almost 23% are under the age of 18. For both age groups, personalized dental care is especially important. Older patients often require restoration or prosthodontic care to replace lost teeth; younger patients may need additional ongoing preventive measures, such as orthodontics, to avoid more serious issues later in life. On top of routine general dental care, treatment for seniors and children can cause the costs of your family’s dental care to skyrocket. Fortunately, Doctors Network offers families throughout Alabama a highly affordable alternative to managing dental care costs with a direct dental plan.
