In 2002, Dr. Drozdowski Maule joined the Community Health Center and served as the agency's Chief Dental Officer between the years 2005 and 2014. She was named one of the "40 under 40" outstanding graduates of the University of Connecticut in 2008. By 2011, she graduated from the Johnson School at Cornell University with an MBA degree.

Dr. Mekawy and their staff gave me information on a dental plan for people who can’t normally afford dental care. That’s just how awesome they are. I went in thinking I had two cavities that needed to be filled. I was in a little bit of pain because of them. I explained what had been going on and gave her a document that my primary dentist in Levittown had given me, which said what dental work I needed. Because of this payment plan, I am now able to afford the dental work that needs to be done that otherwise I could not afford it.

She was thorough, polite, gentle, etc.--everything that you expect from a great dentist. She took her time explaining what treatments I needed and the reasons why I needed them. The prices at Westbury Smile Center were very reasonable as well. I really liked the fact that this wasn’t a crowded office where they keep you waiting long after your appointment time. Dr. Kaufman is very honest and efficient. I hadn't been to the dentist for quite some time, but I knew that choosing a dentist was similar to choosing someone who works on your car. You need someone that you can trust. You want someone who won't pressure you into getting extra work done and someone who will do a great job at an affordable rate. Dr. Kaufman was all of those things and more. I appreciated that he was very direct about what work needed to be done and gave me options as far as payment for the service. I needed six fillings, and the first three only took one hour. Overall, I cannot recommend this office highly enough. The staff is very compassionate, and the office is very inviting.

I’ve had all positive experiences since I started going to Everlasting Smiles Dental a few years ago. They never make me wait too long to be seen. The front office staff is kind, skillful, and smart when it comes to questions about appointments or your insurance. At my last dentist, I spent many long hours in the chair to get a few crowns done. It seemed like all they did was create more issues. I had to be numbed multiple times for the same crown. I started going to Dr. Afridi, and he did two crowns in one appointment - wow, what a difference! I was worried about one of the crowns he put in, so I went back. He explained that I had nothing to worry about. Another time, I paid for an expensive night guard, but it broke after just a few months of use. They made me another one and didn’t even bill me for it. Plus, Dr. Afridi is really active in the community and clearly cares about everyone in Glen Oaks. I’m so glad that he’s my new dentist.
