I never expected to give a dentist a 5-star rating, but DR and his staff have earned it. Recently, I broke a bridge in the front of my mouth. My previous dentist in Syosset intended to charge me 50K for the work. That’s wasn’t in my budget. So, I went to Dr. Kaminsky. He recommended other options that were nowhere near as expensive. Dr. Amir Barati formed Peace Valley Dentistry with his long-time dental partner, Dr. Tom Forte. He is devoted to providing his patients with top-quality dental care and has many years of training and experience to back his practice up. When he is not treating patients at the office, Dr. Barati is attending continuing education courses in reconstructive dentistry, endodontics, dental implants, restorative dentistry, and cosmetic dentistry. He also has extensive training in Invisalign technology, implant surgery, occlusion, and root canal therapy. He has spent much of his time studying at the Spear Institute and recently attended a seminar series on facially generated treatment planning. While attending university, he also completed a dental externship program at Lehigh Valley Hospital. He went to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania’s Maxillofacial Surgery Department to complete an internship program as well. During this internship, he spent time treating children at the Children’s Hospital of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Barati also spent time as an educator, teaching the next generation of dentists as a part-time teacher at Penn while working at several private practices. In 2005, he began working with Dr. Tom Forte, who he continues to work with today. When he is not treating patients in the office, Dr. Barati can be found volunteering his services to those in need through the Mission of Mercy and Ann Silverman Clinic.

Dr. Lou Trovato is part of the 1% of dentists in the United States who hold three Fellowships with dental institutions. He is a Fellow and active participant in the American Academy of General Dentistry, the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain, and the International Congress of Oral Implantology. Dr. Lou graduated from Council Rock High School in 1974. He graduated from La Salle University in 1987, and in 1982 he graduated with his dental degree from Temple University Kornberg School of Dental Medicine. He graduated as a board-certified neuromuscular dentist in 2010 from the American College of Integrative Medicine and Dentistry. When he is not working in his private practice, Dr. Lou is traveling the country to attend post-graduate education and advanced training courses. Throughout his career, he has received training in oxygen-ozone therapy, neuromuscular occlusal health, integrative dental medicine, and cosmetic dentistry. He has lectured to other dentists on many topics as well, including holistic, health-oriented dentistry and craniomandibular health.
