Back in September I was in between jobs and could not afford dental insurance in Levittown. Dr. Mekawy and their staff gave me information on a dental plan for people who can’t normally afford dental care. That’s just how awesome they are. I went in thinking I had two cavities that needed to be filled. I was in a little bit of pain because of them. Dr. Lou Trovato is part of the 1% of dentists in the United States who hold three Fellowships with dental institutions. He is a Fellow and active participant in the American Academy of General Dentistry, the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain, and the International Congress of Oral Implantology. Dr. Lou graduated from Council Rock High School in 1974. He graduated from La Salle University in 1987, and in 1982 he graduated with his dental degree from Temple University Kornberg School of Dental Medicine. He graduated as a board-certified neuromuscular dentist in 2010 from the American College of Integrative Medicine and Dentistry. When he is not working in his private practice, Dr. Lou is traveling the country to attend post-graduate education and advanced training courses. Throughout his career, he has received training in oxygen-ozone therapy, neuromuscular occlusal health, integrative dental medicine, and cosmetic dentistry. He has lectured to other dentists on many topics as well, including holistic, health-oriented dentistry and craniomandibular health. Because of his extensive training and certifications, Dr. Lou is able to offer a very wide variety of treatments, making his practice convenient for his patients.

Dr. Amir Barati formed Peace Valley Dentistry with his long-time dental partner, Dr. Tom Forte. He is devoted to providing his patients with top-quality dental care and has many years of training and experience to back his practice up. When he is not treating patients at the office, Dr. Barati is attending continuing education courses in reconstructive dentistry, endodontics, dental implants, restorative dentistry, and cosmetic dentistry. He also has extensive training in Invisalign technology, implant surgery, occlusion, and root canal therapy. He has spent much of his time studying at the Spear Institute and recently attended a seminar series on facially generated treatment planning. He is a member of the Eckerd and Spear study clubs, as well as the American Dental Association, the Bucks/Montgomery County Dental Association, and the Pennsylvania Dental Association.

Dr. Barati graduated cum laude from Semelweise University in Budapest, Hungary. He then spent time receiving clinical training at numerous private practices in Boston before being accepted into the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine’s Advanced Standing Program after scoring well on the national dental board examinations. While attending university, he also completed a dental externship program at Lehigh Valley Hospital. He went to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania’s Maxillofacial Surgery Department to complete an internship program as well. During this internship, he spent time treating children at the Children’s Hospital of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Barati also spent time as an educator, teaching the next generation of dentists as a part-time teacher at Penn while working at several private practices. In 2005, he began working with Dr. Tom Forte, who he continues to work with today. When he is not treating patients in the office, Dr. Barati can be found volunteering his services to those in need through the Mission of Mercy and Ann Silverman Clinic.

I love the beautiful office and awesome staff. The hygienists are gentle when cleaning. Dr. Kaminsky and his staff pay attention to detail, which some dental practices seem to forget. For example, they remind you about your appointments in advance and don’t make you spend an eternity in the waiting room. While they do offer cosmetic services (whitening, straightening, even an oral cancer screening,) they don’t bother you if you decline.

I was a bit nervous to have an implant done. But, it was amazing. I didn't feel any pain at all. Dr. Murphy is wonderful; she’s highly professional. The entire staff is personable. I can’t wait to recommend the Radiance Dental practice to all my friends. Even though I have a bit of a drive to get there, it’s worth it. I’m so glad that my daughter recommended this Scarsdale practice.
