Dr. Thao Tran was raised in Massachusetts and completed her undergraduate studies at Tufts University in Medford, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Latin with a focus on pre-health studies. She then pursued her passion for dentistry and graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree in 2006 from the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco, California. Following her dental training, Dr. Tran began practicing in the Bay Area, where she enjoys working in all aspects of general dentistry, particularly restorative and cosmetic treatments. She is dedicated to providing high-quality care and treats each patient like family, ensuring they feel at ease before, during, and after their visits. Dr. Tran is known for her compassionate and gentle approach, always striving to educate her patients about maintaining healthy, long-lasting smiles. In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Tran was invited to join the faculty at the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, where she has the privilege of teaching the next generation of dental professionals. This role has allowed her to stay at the forefront of the latest dental research and innovations. Dr. Tran places great importance on continuing education and regularly participates in courses offered by leading experts in the field. She is an active member of the California Dental Association, the Alameda Dental Society, and the American Dental Association. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Tran enjoys spending time with her two daughters and staying active by running. She also loves exploring new culinary experiences. Dr. Tran feels incredibly fortunate to have found a career she is passionate about, and she looks forward to welcoming new patients into her practice.
