I went to Dr. Gales in Bayside, NY as a new patient for a check up and because I had some wisdom tooth pain. I didn’t wait long to see the dentist, who performed a complete examination of my teeth and gums. He was very gentle, thoroughly explained any problems he saw, gave me a few recommendations, and actually listened to me. Though I didn’t have much work done, I was very happy with my first visit at University Dental!

University Dental is the best dental office in Bayside, NY. I haven’t been to the dentist in a few years due to dental anxiety, but the hygienist was relaxing, sociable, professional, and taught me how to take better care of my teeth. I was afraid she’d see all the plaque and buildup and judge me, but she just cleaned them up without saying anything. Since I haven’t had my teeth cleaned in a while, I did need some descaling. Truthfully, I can’t stand hearing the scraping and drilling sounds, and she could probably see how tense I was. But I trusted her and knew she was doing a detailed job and just looking out for my health, and it was so worth it! Dr. Gales was super nice, and they both answered my questions and explained everything thoroughly. I will for sure come back for my deep cleaning! Plus, everyone there had fantastic teeth and the views in the room were lovely!

From the start, I had a great visit at University Dental in Bayside, NY. The staff is very amiable, and they had great communication skills. The view from the chair was soothing, and you can tell they truly care about you. It always feels good when you are treated like family. And they have awesome neck pillows. I just visited University Dental in Bayside, NY for the first time today. I had a dental emergency, and they told me to come in asap. Not only did Dr. Gales and his staff take great care of me, but it was the first time I had been given a numbing shot that didn’t hurt. I just had to tell someone what a fantastic job Dr. Gales at University Dental in Bayside, NY did on my dental implant. He did it a few years ago, so I’m a little late in writing this, but I do need another one and would love for him to do the honors. University Dental is the best dental office I’ve ever been to in Bayside, NY. Dr. Gales is professional, funny, and overall a wonderful person. His staff, including the receptionist and assistants, is also incredible. There’s something so soothing about University Dental in Bayside. The office is calm, and then they take you to your exam room and make you as comfortable as possible. The hygienist who prepared me for my procedure walked me through everything step by step. Dr. Gales numbed me up and then started working. He tried to save my tooth, but it was too late, unfortunately. To avoid an expensive root canal, he suggested a crown. The temporary crown feels great, and if the permanent one fits as well as this one, I’ll be pleased. Thank you Dr. Gales and staff for the great work and for being attentive and accommodating. I need a few more crowns, which I’ll happily let Dr. Gales do for me!

They scheduled me an appointment that same day and filled an antibiotic prescription for me at my pharmacy. When I arrived, they promptly put me in an exam room and treated me with so much respect. I was so thankful for their treatment, and I made them my permanent dentist. Dr. Gales is the best dentist ever! I needed help straightening my teeth, and I hate going to the dentist. I have a phobia of doctors and needles. But Dr. Gales and his staff made me feel relaxed. We talked about my treatment options, and I chose a retainer. It was the perfect solution, and I couldn’t be happier. I don’t have to hide my smile anymore. Dr. Gales and his staff in Bayside fit me in for an emergency appointment within an hour of me calling their office. They even stayed past closing time to finish the job. Everyone was very kind and knowledgeable. They responded to me quickly and told me to come in asap. I was in so much pain and stressed out that something was really wrong. Dr. Gales found the problem and took care of it right then and there. Best of all, it wasn’t as bad as I thought. I was actually from another country and very pregnant at the time, so I tried to wait until I was back home. I couldn’t take anything aside from a few Tylenol for pain, but it wasn’t helping and I couldn’t sleep or even eat. Thankfully Dr. Gales gave me some relief, and since I didn’t have American dental insurance, I had the bill to worry about in addition to my baby and the effects of the procedure. But Dr. Gales was amazing, and I’m so grateful that University Dental took such great care of me and my baby at an affordable price. They even followed up with me the next day to make sure I was alright, which I was thankful for.

I’ve been looking for a good dentist ever since I moved to Bayside, NY. Turns out, 7th time’s the charm! I was anxious before I walked in, but the inside of University Dental was beautiful. Dr. Gales and his staff were warm and welcoming. They even had a lot of high-tech equipment. The cleaning center for their tools was awesome. If you think you have a cavity, they can show you pictures of each individual tooth on the TV for you to see, and then they can use a machine to see how much bacteria is present. If you have a lot of plaque, they won’t scrape your teeth with metal utensils. They have a titanium ultrasound machine to lift and remove it in a matter of seconds. Making appointments is super easy, and the office staff is very responsive if you have questions. Their prices are reasonable, and they offer Invisalign and teeth whitening services.

Dr. Gales and his staff are amazing! We’ve been going to University Dental in Bayside, NY for a few years now. My son was hit in the mouth during an away basketball game, so we took him to a local dentist to stabilize the tooth. He then went to Dr. Gales to have it looked at once we returned home. I actually had “interviewed” another orthodontist before him, but he didn’t tell me any information about what I needed, the cost, or the timeline. Dr. Gales gave my son a retainer to fix his tooth, and it was financially feasible and actually worked! His tooth was pushed into place in no time, and completely altered his smile for the better. He is excellent with kids, and you never really have to wait for your appointment. He’s the best dentist near me; I strongly recommend him!

I’ve been going to University Dental in Bayside, NY for at least two years now. The office staff is very welcoming and can help you with any questions you have about your insurance coverage. Sadly, they aren’t in my insurance network, but my insurance still pays for the cleaning and a certain percentage of procedures. If the office wasn’t beautiful and Dr. Gales wasn’t the best dentist near me, I wouldn’t go here. Though I only see him twice a year, he acts like we’ve been friends forever. Plus, his bedside manner is excellent. When I needed my cavity filled, he let me watch TV, which distracted me from the procedure. The parking isn’t always great, but it’s worth it! I was so happy with how skilled, careful, and welcoming Dr. Gales and his staff were. They made sure I was okay several times during the procedure before continuing to the next steps. After having tooth pain for nearly half a year, I was referred to University Dental in Bayside, NY for a root canal. It’s no wonder they have a ton of great reviews! The staff was very welcoming and highly skilled. They explained the charges up front, and they even sent me an appointment reminder electronically, which was great. Due to the pain, I was in as well as previous horrible dental experiences, I was definitely anxious. But Dr. Gales made me feel comfortable the entire time. He made sure I was numbed up properly and walked me through what he would be doing before he even took the crown off. He wasn’t arrogant and totally understood why I was nervous, but he told me he’d do what he could to make sure I didn’t feel any pain. And he did a fantastic job! I felt no pain during the two appointments that I needed. I can now eat without pain for the first time in a long time. If I ever need another root canal (which I hope I don’t), I’m definitely going back to Dr. Gales!

I wanted someone modern, someone with the latest x-ray technology, technique, and tools. I also wanted someone who was close to my house and had affordable prices. The entire staff is kind, and they were very helpful in explaining to me the Doctors Network fee schedule. Dr. Gales and his assistant were great and made me feel very comfortable. They did a crown procedure and put in 3 fillings, and it was all done in a day! I feel lucky to have found them, and have already recommended them to all my friends and family.

I’ve had some bad experiences at other dentists in Bayside, experiences that made me stop going. But when I started to think I might have gum disease, I knew it was time to go back. I found this dentist on Doctors Network, and I decided to check it out. I was nervous that they would be condescending since I hadn’t been to the dentist in a long time, and I had a lot of plaque build up. My gums were receding a little bit. My dentist was caring and respectful, and he listened to my concerns. I have sensitive gums, and they were careful about cleaning my teeth. I was surprised at how pleasant it was. Dr. Gales wasn’t with me for very long, but he was knowledgeable and kind. He told me I had no cavities, and it turns out my gums aren’t in that bad a shape.
