Dr. Beamer comes from a family of dentists, which sparked her lifelong passion for connecting with people and combining her technical expertise with artistry to create lasting relationships and beautiful, healthy smiles.

Originally from Charlottesville, VA, Dr. Beamer brings a wealth of experience and advanced skills to her practice in the Back Bay area. She thrives on using her artistic and technical abilities to enhance both the function and appearance of her patients’ smiles. But what she loves most about being a dentist is the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with her patients, helping them feel at ease during their visits and more confident in their oral health.

What Inspired Dr. Beamer to Become a Dentist?
Dr. Beamer’s love for dentistry began at a young age. Growing up in a dental family, she jokingly says she might have been destined for the profession before she was even born—her mother studied dentistry while pregnant with her! With her father also a practicing dentist, Dr. Beamer grew up surrounded by the dental world. At times, she even helped out with emergency patients in her father’s office on weekends. This early exposure and curiosity for the field only deepened over time, and her passion for dentistry continues to grow as she builds strong, lasting relationships with her patients.

Where Did Dr. Beamer Study Dentistry?
Dr. Beamer earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Virginia Tech before attending East Carolina University School of Dental Medicine, where she graduated with honors. During her third year of dental school, she received the prestigious Dr. William S. Kramer Award of Excellence. Dr. Beamer was also involved in research projects focusing on oral lesions and dental care for cancer patients, and she has a published case report in the “Online Journal of Dentistry and Oral Health”.

Dr. Beamer’s commitment to ongoing education is evident in her extensive training beyond typical general dentistry. She is skilled in dental implant surgery and has completed over a hundred hours of specialized training, earning her a Fellowship with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. She is passionate about staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in dentistry and regularly pursues advanced training. Dr. Beamer is a proud member of several professional organizations, including:

Outside the Dental Office, What Does Dr. Beamer Like to Do?
When she’s not helping patients improve their smiles, Dr. Beamer enjoys spending time cooking, traveling, and exploring the outdoors. She is also a car enthusiast, attending weekend "cars and coffee" events and taking her car to track events. A major sports fan, Dr. Beamer enjoys going to collegiate and professional sporting events, especially as a proud Hokie fan. One fun fact about her: Dr. Beamer was featured in the Audi Club of North America Women’s Edition of Quattro Magazine with her Audi RS3!
