Dr. Elizabeth Vivona Dow has always had an artistic side. As a child, she hoped to one day become a professional artist, but as a young adult with an inclination for science, Dr. Vivona discovered dentistry as her passion. As a dentist, Dr. Vivona uses her artistic eye to create beautiful smiles for each of her patients through cosmetic and preventive dentistry. Her philosophy is to provide high-quality dentistry that not only treats her patients’ problems but prevents further problems from occurring later in life. She hopes her patients leave her office feeling more confident in their smiles and more informed about their oral health.

Dr. Vivona is also a sedation dentistry specialist and offers her patients IV conscious sedation and non-IV conscious sedation using an oral sedative pill and nitrous oxide gas. She understands that dental anxiety is a real thing and works hard to put her patients at ease and provide them with gentle, painless treatments however she can. Dr. Vivona is currently training an office therapy dog to sit by her patients’ side and comfort them throughout their visit if they choose.

Dr. Vivona attended the University of Maryland School of Dentistry where she joined the prosthodontics honor society and completed a dental implant clerkship. She graduated at the top of her class in 2010. She became IV sedation certified during a General and Hospital Dentistry residency program at the University of Colorado Hospital. After graduating from dental school, Dr. Vivona still attended continuing education courses with the Spear Study Club and the Spear Institute to stay up to date with modern dental procedures. Today, Dr. Vivona is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Oregon Dental Association. She has served as the Secretary-Treasurer and on the Executive Council of the Lane County Dental Society since 2014.
