Dr. John Grill earned his dental degree from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in California. Afterwards, he continued his education at the White Memorial Hospital in the ENT department as a Clinical provider where he became specialized in Head & Neck Therapies and TMJ. After this, he attended the Veterans' Administration Hospital/University of Iowa Hospital residency program that focused on Dental Anesthesiology and how to treat patients under general anesthesia.

In 1988, Dr. Grill became interested in Biological Dentistry, which he continues to practice and study today. He has spent hundreds of hours in continuing education courses and spends his free time giving lectures to other healthcare providers on Biological Dentistry and its importance in improving patients' overall health. He has also spoken at the Integrated Health Conference in San Diego about the crucial role dentistry plays in combating chronic disease. Since his initial foray into Biological Dentistry, Dr. Grill has become passionate about treating his patients using a team approach. While he acts as a solo practitioner today, Dr. Grill continues to work with an expansive team of alternative doctors, physicians, and other dentists who share knowledge and advice with each other to produce high-quality treatment plans for their patients. Besides talking with other professionals, Dr. Grill spends many hours researching a wide array of medical and health subjects that build up his knowledge base.

In his private practice, Dr. Grill is passionate about educating his patients on the connection between oral health and full-body health. He enjoys including his patients in their treatment process, as this ensures that they understand the state of their health and how to improve it.
