At Queens Central Dental, I love that I was able to, with no delay, see Dr. Ames for two appointments. It was a bit of a dental emergency and they were so understanding! Wellbeing is at the top of their radar – they even called the next day to see if I was recovering well! Their online appointment request system for the Jackson Heights location is flawless. I loved corresponding via email and not phone. The staff was animated and kind. This is now my go-to dentist!

Remember how back in the day your mom scheduled all of your dentist appointments, then you grew up and had to schedule your own? Things were easy back then. After deciding I would be staying in Jackson Heights for the next couple of months, I decided one of the first things I had to do was find a dentist. While doing a quick google maps search, I discovered that Dr. Ames office was conveniently close to my apartment. I scheduled an appointment and since then I have continued to come back to Queens Central Dental. Dr. Ames is awesome. Before any procedure or cleaning, they thoroughly let you know what the procedure will be, and, on the tail end, if there are any problems with your teeth (without patronizing you). I recently had another cleaning and, again, an incredible job. When I brought up the topic of braces, Dr. Ames checked my teeth and told me that it was all up to me because of my present alignment. He told me he could refer me to a solid orthodontist, but did not push me either way. Points for you Dr. Ames. I even got a free toothbrush at the end!

I am very impressed with the dental skills and manner of Dr. Ames. Dr. Ames has done very good work on my teeth for the past couple of months. QUEENS CENTRAL DENTAL uses the latest technology and equipment. I have recommended them to my adult children and other family members who live in the Jackson Heights area. I've been going to another dentist for YEARS prior to making this switch and I must say, that the old dentist was losing his touch. Just a cleaning, in and out in fewer than 20 minutes… my teeth still did not feel too clean. My mom told me to go to Queens Central Dental in Jackson Heights and see Dr. Ames. Upon meeting them, they were all personable and funny, making going to the dentist quite enjoyable. End of the day they were thorough and efficient. They are now working with me for my braces and orthodontic care. My chompers are looking fly.

The staff at Queens Central Dental are very friendly. My son ended up needing a tooth extracted and Dr. Ames did a phenomenal job. My son had no idea he received the numbing shot thanks to the doc giving him numbing gel first and being very discreet with the needle. I've been going to Ilya Ames / Queens Central Dental for a few years now and I cannot emphasize enough how great they are! I have spent thousands of dollars at dentists in the Jackson Heights area over the course of my life, so I know what makes a great dentist besides excellent dental work: amazing staff, fresh equipment, the latest dental and cosmetic procedures, and most importantly, great explanations to answer my questions. Hands down the best dentist I've ever experienced! Dr. Ames, along with the staff at Queens Central Dental, are a dream. I was dreading getting any work done on my teeth, but Dr. Ames walked through everything in great detail beforehand, and during my procedures. They managed my pain extremely well, and personally called me to see how I was doing after the procedures. No one looks forward to dental appointments, but you can look forward to getting quality dental care, and excellent patient care from Dr. Ames and her team in Jackson Heights .

Dr. Ames treats our family of four including the recent addition of elementary school aged children who previously went to a pediatric dentist. The youngest required her first filling (and shot, yikes!) this week and Dr. Ames and staff at Queens Central Dental distracted her, cheered her up, and, believe it or not, there was not a sighting of even a single tear! They showed her their tools and explained in an age-appropriate way what they would do. They were even patient and answered all her questions. She was kept comfortable and laughed during the visit in spite of arriving at the office right in Jackson Heights. Personally, I've been a patient for over a year and am completely satisfied with the tooth repair I got a couple months back. I appreciate that all transactions are handled by the office staff so any billing inquiries are addressed firsthand, no need to reach out to a third party with any questions.

I can't believe I am writing a review about a dentist. I have always had a dislike for the dentist and was nervous and anxious each time I had a dentist appointment. No longer since going to Queens Central Dental. After visiting several dentists in the Jackson Heights area and not being completely satisfied, I decided to look new options. I went through my insurance, who recommended Queens Central Dental and offered to make an appointment for me. After reading the excellent google reviews, I made the appointment and wow, what a great first impression!! The office is immaculate, the staff is friendly, helpful and takes whatever time is needed to not only explain your benefits but make sure you understand. So far, I have had a cleaning, filling for a giant cavity, and a root canal. Everything was painless, even though I had not been to the dentist for a couple of years - I did not need to use any pain medication (Rx or over the counter). Dr. Ames performed the dental work and was very professional – making me feel at ease, explaining what was being done, and what to expect thereafter. Everyone - front desk, dental hygienist, medical staff and doctors - are great and has made visiting the dentist great!

Just had my visit to Queens Central Dental in Jackson Heights . Was in desperate need of a cleaning and my regular dentist was booked. I selected Queens Central Dental because they are right next door in Jackson Heights , they open early and have some Saturday hours. Now that I've had my first experience, I'd come back no matter what the hours! Queens Central Dental is my new go-to for all things dental. The staff were polite, professional, and friendly. The office is very clean and has modern tech. Dr. Ames is a top-notch dentist. And for the record, I am not the biggest fan of dentists. She is thorough, provides a great deal of information and has a very warm, comforting manner.

Initially, I had no idea where the office was because I'm new to the Jackson Heights area. So, I had to call back a few times to get directions. The Queens Central Dental staff was so patient with me, helping guide me to the office. I filled out a few papers, and was taken back almost immediately. When I was taken back, I was greeted by friendly and very caring staff that were very gentle while taking my x-rays. They thoroughly explained everything was going to happen during the check-up, and I sat for only a few minutes before Dr. Ames came in to give me my exam. They too were very friendly, caring, and informed. They explained to me about what was going on with my teeth. I didn't have to ask a think, which was great. Everyone made me feel very comfortable. I have had the same dentist my entire life, but after marrying a Marine and moving away from home, I could no longer see my favorite; Dr. Ames thus had big shoes to fill, but I must say... so far, he's knocking it out of the park! When leaving, they gave me a bag, a tumbler cup, a nail file, and... A FLOWER! I couldn’t believe it! It's the little things in life that count! Queens Central Dental truly cares about their patients, which shows in their thoughtful attitudes and actions. So, if you're looking for a dentist, I HIGHLY recommend these guys!

As a first-time patient, I believe that I have found what I've been looking for right in my Jackson Heights backyard! Dr. Ames was very friendly and personable, and the dental hygienist, was very positive, upbeat, and informed during my teeth cleaning. Before my appointment, I had some issues concerning my teeth and Dr. Ames calmed me down, relieving me of those concerns. My teeth look great - I can smile again! Today my crown came loose and I found out my insurance didn't auto enroll me this year. Not only did I get a same day appt at Queens Central Dental, but after the dental review I was offered three options with different costs – all within my price range. I ended up with a new crown and bought the dental insurance offered right there. I really appreciated how the procedures were explained to me. It’s clear that Dr. Ames is very knowledgeable and provides great patient service. I didn't wait at all when I first arrived. If you need a great dentist in Jackson Heights who is actually concerned with your dental care and provides honest up-front costs then Dr. Ames is your doc. Highly recommended!

Incredible! The hygienist, is great and Dr. Ames is a skilled dentist and an awesome person. They were super accommodating to me when I was late due to classic Jackson Heights traffic. They are very family friendly and everyone in the Queens Central Dental practice is super pleasant in conversation. I brought my baby with me because I was on maternity leave and had not one to watch him and they were 100% accommodating. They completed my cleaning while he was in his car seat, and when he got upset, they let him sit with me! I got a cleaning done, quickly followed by two cavities filled. One cavity took longer to fill than expected and they were so nice about it, and then they scheduled an early appointment for me to get the other filled on another day. Top choice moving forward – highly recommend Queens Central Dental.

Going to the dentist is a pretty darn terrifying no matter who you are, but Dr. Ames is as good as it gets. I've gone for regular cleanings, fillings, as well as wisdom teeth extractions, and each time they make sure to explain everything in detail, constantly checks in on how you're feeling. I’ve never been made to feel guilty about cavities, and most importantly: Dr. Ames has a much-needed sense of humor to bring down dentist anxiety. Passion for the job is clear (they seem to genuinely enjoy it). QUEENS CENTRAL DENTAL is good with people of all ages and backgrounds, so it really feels like they care about each of their patients and the Jackson Heights community. Of course, the staff is also all very professional! Highly, highly recommended. :)

The facility is clean and well organized – so much so that my wife and I couldn’t stop remarking on how great it was! This place is as comfortable as a spa, it really doesn’t feel like a dentist office. The staff is kind, knowledgeable, and very caring. Again, they made me so relaxed, almost as if I was in a spa. They pamper your teeth. I never knew dentistry in Jackson Heights could be like this, but I love it! In with the new out with the old I always say. They’re very detailed and spent a lot of time on my teeth. They explained everything to me: the equipment, technology and consultation were all explained thoroughly and I now have a life plan for my teeth’s health. Going to the dentist is never fun, but they made me feel relaxed. I’m actually looking forward to my next appointment.

I was looking for a new dentist so I did some research and found Queens Central Dental on Doctors Network. I was looking for a dentist in the 11372 zip code, Jackson Heights, NY. I found 5 dentists to call and did more research, and I decided on Queens Central Dental. The receptionist was kind, able to get me in that day, and told me about the reasonable prices for the work I needed. The lobby was very nice and the staff was very kind, which made me feel right at home. Dr. Ames was a true professional, friendly, and gentle, he obviously knew what he was doing. I wasn’t in there for very long. They’re very reasonably priced, and I look forward to making them my permanent dental care provider.
