Dr. Mindy Shaw has spent almost her entire life in Juneau and takes great pride in being a true Alaskan. She is passionate about Alaska’s outdoor lifestyle and enjoys exploring the natural beauty of the state whenever she can. Outside of her dental practice, Dr. Shaw loves spending quality time with her husband and family, whether they’re hunting, fishing, or camping. She also keeps active with a wide range of outdoor activities, including mountain biking, skiing, hiking, and participating in sports like ice hockey, softball, volleyball, soccer, and running.

Dr. Shaw’s journey into dentistry began after college, when she worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Gary Moeller. It was during this time that she developed a deep passion for the field. She went on to attend the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine, graduating at the top of her class in 2010. After returning to Juneau, she became a partner in Dr. Moeller’s practice. When Dr. Moeller retired in 2012, Dr. Shaw took the reins, founding Shaw Dental, LLC.

A dedicated member of the dental community, Dr. Shaw is affiliated with several professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Delta Sigma Delta international dental fraternity, and the Omicron Kappa Upsilon honor society. She has been actively involved in the Alaska Dental Society and served as President of the Juneau Dental Society. Dr. Shaw is also passionate about giving back to the community, offering her time and services through programs like the Alaska Mission of Mercy and Give Kids A Smile.

Dr. Shaw is committed to continuing education and staying current with the latest advancements in dental techniques and technology. Her primary goal is to provide the highest quality care tailored to each patient's needs. She takes a conservative approach to treatment, always prioritizing the preservation of natural tooth structure when possible.
