Dr. Beninato was born in Lawrence and raised in North Andover, where he attended St. Michael Grammar School and graduated from North Andover High School. He went on to earn his degree from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and later graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. With advanced training in dentistry, Dr. Beninato is a certified Invisalign provider. He is also an instructor in the Dental Science Department at Northern Essex Community College.

Dedicated to giving back to his community, Dr. Beninato serves as a Director on the Board of the Lawrence Boys and Girls Club, is an active member of the Lawrence Chamber of Commerce, and holds the position of Treasurer for the Merrimack Valley Dental Society. He is a certified CPR instructor for the American Red Cross and regularly leads training courses at the Ward Hill Red Cross. Additionally, Dr. Beninato volunteers as a certified swimming instructor at the Andover/North Andover YMCA.

He resides in North Andover with his wife, Sharon, and their children, Sam and Julia.
