For Dr. Shane Wingler, dentistry is the perfect combination of health and fitness, problem solving, and service to others. Growing up, he was inspired by his family dentist and knew that dentistry was his calling. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He then earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree (DDS) from the UNC School of Dentistry. He chose to focus on dental implants and completed the Implant Pathway Continuum in Tempe, Arizona, where he provided free healthcare to veterans. At his private practice in Lexington, Dr. Wingler has a warm-hearted approach to treating patients that he learned from his own dentist when he was a child. Today, Dr. Wingler is an active member of the North Carolina Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Spear Study Club, and the International Congress of Implantologists.
