Dr. Jon Smith has three passions: forensic dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, and restorative dentistry. He has received advanced dental forensics training and was a key part of the dental forensics team that identified the victims of the Alfred P. Murrah federal building bombing. He has also served as the chairman of the South Carolina Dental Association bioterrorism task force. He frequently helps the Lexington County Coroner's Office with forensic identification cases. When Dr. Jon Smith opened his private practice in 1997, his focus was mostly on cosmetic and restorative dentistry. His dentistry goal was to make each of his patients feel comfortable and confident in and out of his office. That's why he treats his patients with a personal, friendly touch, and uses only the best-quality dental treatments and procedures. Dr. Smith earned his BS in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of Arizona. He earned his DDS from the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry, and was president of his class during his sophomore, junior, and senior years. Dr. Smith continues his education through post-graduate courses and studies with the best cosmetic dentists in the country. His dedication to staying at the forefront of cosmetic dentistry has been recognized by the readers of State Newspaper and Lexington Life Magazine who voted him "Best Dentist."
