About Dr. Kunthara
Dr. Sonia Kunthara is a second-generation dentist and works alongside her dentist mother, Dr. Preethy Kunthara, at Simon Dental Care where she is proud to serve the members of her community. Dr. Sonia Kunthara earned her Bachelor of Science degree in health sciences at Arizona State University. She then earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine in 2019. She has been providing exceptional dental care in Gilbert, Arizona, ever since.

I am a patient at Simon Dental Care in Mesa and could not imagine going anywhere else. Dr. Kunthara and her staff are always very nice and respectful. My dental hygienist is never rude, even when I haven’t flossed as much as I should. They’re always willing to answer questions. I wish they were open on Saturdays!
I have been going to Dr. Kunthara for 3 years, and I don’t mind the extra drive from Phoenix, because that’s how great she is. She doesn’t treat you as just a patient, but rather a friend, and listens to your opinions about the health of your mouth and teeth. She still does training for herself and her staff to make sure they always have updated information, which keeps her office at the top of its game. No two visits are ever the same, as the team continues to learn and grow as dental professionals in Mesa, AZ. The service is great and everyone is very kind. Dr. Kunthara even gives her personal cell phone number for after-hours. If I ever have a dental emergency I can call her at any time. Anyone who needs a dentist or is looking for a change should come here.
Dr. Kunthara and the rest of the staff at Simon Dental Care in Mesa are very kind and knowledgeable. A couple years ago I moved back from college where I had a previous dentist in Phoenix. This place let me come in as a transfer patient and was very thorough in their explanation of everything. They went through my treatment plan, asked me what my goals for my teeth were, took molds and casts of my current teeth, and just overall have been very thorough. I did research and I found a lot of options, but ultimately went with this place, and I’m glad I did. You can tell how much these people love their jobs by the high quality of work they do. I’ve recommended this place to my friends and family, trying to convince my family to drive a couple extra miles to come to Dr. Kunthara. She adjusted a wire for me the other day and then she called me later that day to make sure I wasn’t in any pain and that I didn’t have any questions. I’ve never seen any other dentist do that, and so that’s why I wrote this review. They truly have excellent customer service, they’re like no other place I’ve ever been to, and that’s why I have to recommend this place.

Everyone can join for a low monthly fee of $39.99 and a one-time activation fee of the equal amount. The cost of membership is typically a fraction of most dental insurance premiums.
Patients who sign up for a direct dental plan through our office in Mesa can attend routine preventive exams and cleanings for only $25 per visit. This includes X-rays, when necessary, and the cost does not change no matter how many times you visit per year. When cosmetic or restorative treatment is required, the costs of your treatment will be discounted by up to 90%, including fillings, dental crowns, dental implants, Invisalign® and more.
