Dr. Ellis is the absolute best. I’ve been to over 10 dentists in 26 years, and none of them reach the luxury level of perfection that Dr. Ellis does. I cracked a major tooth close to the root, and Dr. Ellis was able to work around the root and make a crown. The staff is very kind; they explain everything thoroughly and offer a positive atmosphere. I was in pain over the weekend, so on Monday, I started calling around to find a dentist that would see me that day. I called several, but none of them could fit me in until Tuesday. When I called Dr. Ellis’ office, his receptionist said I could come in at noon. Unfortunately, my bridge was loose, and one of the teeth that I’d had a root canal on still had one root left. Dr. Ellis had plans later that afternoon, but he stayed late to fix the problem. It took nearly 4 hours. I highly recommend Dr. Ellis. I went in recently for an Invisalign consult. Dr. Ellis and his staff were so kind and welcoming. They knew I was anxious. They took X-rays and determined I was a good candidate for Invisalign, so we started the process. The staff was very thorough and honest about all the information and costs. Today, I had an appointment for a tooth extraction, my first set of Invisaligners, and the Propel procedure to speed up the process. I chose nitrous oxide, and I didn’t feel any pain. My estimated time for Invisalign treatment is 15 months. With the Propel, Dr. Ellis is hoping for 7.5 or less. Another dentist told me I wasn’t an Invisalign candidate and caused me significant pain during my procedures. I’d known about Dr. Ellis’ skill and ease, I would have chosen him much sooner. This is literally the first time in my life I left the dentist without pain. I’m not even anxious to return again. I am so excited to see my progress and my end result with Invisalign. No matter what the outcome is, it will be an improvement.

I’ve gone to Dr. Ellis for two extractions. The procedure was relatively quick both times. The prices were the beat in the Riverhead area. Trust me. I called other practices. I even called dental schools. Dr. Ellis’ prices are the most cost effective. My extraction (tooth half broken but came out in one piece) and a half broken wisdom tooth (also came out in one piece and was fully emerged were reasonably priced and X-rays were included both times. They mentioned that extractions that require oral surgery are more. My aunt is getting a set of dentures made by Dr. Ellis’ practice. They extracted all the teeth she had remaining and made the other preparations. The price they charged her was reasonable, and they allowed her to pay in installments. (I assume her payments are O.A.C because she has decent credit.) They have an established practice and convenient hours.

Thanks to some genetic anomalies, I have had an array of health problems that have taken their toll on my teeth. Dr. Ellis placed 7 crowns in the last 2 years. I decided to go to Dr. Ellis because his office is conveniently located. The staff is very personable and gentle, so I’ve decided to keep coming back. I really don’t like dentists. However, I understand that if I don’t have regular cleanings, the cleaning process gets worse. At my first visit, I opted for new crown material and having my fillings replaced. The new material lasts longer and looks better. Since then, they have offered other treatments, such as fluoride upgrades. If I decide now isn’t the right time, they don’t pressure me.

He did dental work for both servicemen and women and civilians in Third World Countries. He truly cares about his patients and their dental health. A lot of dentists in this area who don’t do the high quality work that Dr. Ellis does, and they often trick you into getting unnecessary work done. Dr. Ellis gave me 3 root canal-crown procedures that needed to be done because of my intense teeth grinding at night. He does a great job taking care of my families’ teeth, which he has done for a long time now. The staff is very kind and knowledgeable.
