Dr. Allison Manly Cohen grew up in Fairport, NY. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology, focusing on Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, from the University of Rochester, where she also minored in American Sign Language. Dr. Cohen then attended the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine, graduating with honors (Cum Laude) and completing her General Practice Residency at St. Joseph’s Health in Syracuse, NY.

A strong advocate for lifelong learning, Dr. Cohen continually seeks opportunities to acquire new skills that enhance her patient care. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine, which signifies the highest level of training in dental treatments for sleep-related breathing disorders, and she frequently lectures to local dentists on this topic. Dr. Cohen holds memberships in the American Dental Association, the Monroe County Dental Association, the Seventh District Dental Society, and the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. She actively participates in local study clubs, including the Rochester Women Dental Study Club and Brodine Prosthodontics Study Club.

Passionate about treating patients of all ages and backgrounds, Dr. Cohen regularly volunteers her time to provide dental care for those in need. She enjoys various disciplines of dentistry, such as pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, and endodontics. In addition to her practice at Silver Maple, Dr. Cohen serves as the staff dentist at St. John’s Home.

In her free time, Dr. Cohen loves cooking, baking, gardening, and traveling. She lives in the Browncroft area of Rochester with her husband, Michael, a neurologist and sleep medicine specialist, and their three rescue pets—a bulldog/pug mix and two cats.
