Dr. Thomas J. Gilbert is dedicated to providing comfortable, high-quality treatments. Having gone through numerous dental treatments himself, he knows what it’s like to have work done on your teeth as well as what an ideal dentist visit looks like. Patients of Dr. Gilbert can receive a wide variety of treatments including implant placement, implant restoration, and Invisible Braces by Invisalign. He was one of the first dentists to become Lumineer certified.

Dr. Gilbert had a strong sense of community instilled in him as a child. Because of that, he has always felt a connection to the place he grew up, Royal Oak. As a dentist at Royal Oak Dental, Dr. Gilbert feels lucky to be able to provide dental care to the community that raised him and he views each of his patients as a member of his own family. He has treated patients of many ages ranging from young teenagers to 80-year-olds.

After earning his bachelor’s degrees in psychology and biology from Albion College, Dr. Gilbert went on to the University of Detroit Dental School where he earned his Doctorate of Dentistry in 1985. Since becoming a practicing dentist, Dr. Gilbert has continued to attend dental courses and read dental journals and research papers that keep him up-to-date on the latest techniques and technologies in the dental field.
