Dr. Helyne Hamelburg is an experienced periodontist with a passion for both patient care and community involvement. After completing her undergraduate studies in Biochemistry at Brandeis University, she attended Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where she earned her DMD degree in 1991. She went on to complete her postdoctoral training in Periodontology at Boston University in 1993, marking the beginning of her long and successful dental career.

For eight years, Dr. Hamelburg worked in private practice before joining her husband at the Paradise Dental Associates in 2001. With over two decades of experience, she is known for exceptional skills in periodontal care and her dedication to her patients’ long-term oral health.

Throughout her education Dr. Hamelburg was actively involved in leadership roles. At Tufts, she was a member of the Alpha Omega dental fraternity and served on its Board of Directors in her senior year. She was also inducted into the prestigious OKU dental honor society, an honor reserved for the top students in her class.

Beyond her practice, Dr. Hamelburg is deeply committed to giving back to her community. She has served in various leadership roles, including as Chairwoman of the North Shore District Dental Society, a position she held in 2018-2019, and she has been an active member of the Executive Committee for over eight years. Her involvement extends to local organizations such as Congregation Shirat Hayam and the Jewish Federation of the North Shore, where she has helped organize numerous fundraising initiatives. She has also been a key supporter of the Jewish Community Center of the North Shore and Tower School.

Dr. Hamelbrug is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, the Massachusetts Periodontal Society, Massachusetts Dental Society and the American Academy of Periodontology. She is also passionate about health and wellness, dedicating time outside of the office to staying active and promoting a healthier lifestyle for herself and her family.
