Dr. John Fisher is a distinguished graduate of Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry. Following his dental education, he began his teaching career as a clinical instructor in the Fixed and Removable Prosthesis department at his alma mater. His academic career was briefly interrupted when he served in the United States Army, after which he continued his teaching at Boston University School of Dentistry while also building his private practice in Salem, where he has been serving the community for over 43 years.

Throughout his career, Dr. Fisher has been deeply committed to both his profession and his community. He has been a long time leader at the SalemYMCA, serving as President and Board Member for 25 years. He is also a past President of the Salem Rotary Club and has contributed to various local initiatives through his role as a Board Member for Catholic Charities North. Additionally, Dr. Fisher has played an influential role in the Massachusetts Dental Society, having served as Trustee and President. He currently chairs the Better Oral Health or Massachusetts coalition, working to promote dental health on a statewide level. He is also an advocate for community water fluoridation and frequently lectures on the subject across Massachusetts.

Dr. Fisher is a strong proponent of dental education and serves on the advisory board of Forsythe School of Dental Hygiene. His leadership extends beyond dentistry, with his involvement in state-wide oral health policy as the Oral Health 2020 State Representative.

When he’s not in the office or community, Dr. Fisher enjoys an active lifestyle, including golfing, tennis, and skiing. He is also a passionate boating enthusiast and served as Commodore of the Corinthian Yacht Club. With this wealth of experience and dedication to improving both oral health and the local community, Dr. Fisher continues to make a lasting impact in the field of dentistry and beyond.
