Born and raised in Pervomaisk, in Ukraine’s Nikolaev Region, Dr. Svetlana Yesin grew up in a family of dental technicians. Spending countless hours in her parents’ lab, she became fascinated by the art and science behind crowns and dentures. This early exposure ignited her desire to help others through dentistry, a dream that felt out of reach at the time. After completing youth art school, she earned her nursing degree, which launched her career in healthcare.

In 1993, Svetlana and her family immigrated to the United States, settling in San Francisco, where they have since made their home. After obtaining her Registered Nurse license, she worked as a clinical nurse specializing in neurosurgery and orthopedics at UCSF Hospital.

Her nursing experience deepened her interest in the connection between oral health, nutrition, and overall well-being. Svetlana completed her pre-dental requirements at San Francisco State University and was accepted into UCSF School of Dentistry.

Upon graduating from UCSF in 2002, Dr. Yesin sought mentorship in holistic dental practices. She began integrating her education with the latest advancements in biological dentistry. Over the next six years, she honed her practical skills in various modern dental offices before founding her own practice, Integrative Dentistry, in 2009. In her practice, she focuses on providing cutting-edge, integrative, and compassionate care to her patients.

With over 15 years of experience, Dr. Yesin remains dedicated to quality care and ongoing education, actively sharing her knowledge with patients and fellow practitioners. A lifelong learner, she frequently attends seminars and conferences to stay current with the latest techniques and research.

Dr. Yesin has completed extensive training in areas such as biological integrative, dental medicine, general and cosmetic dentistry, minimally invasive procedures, occlusion, biomimetic dentistry, safe amalgam removal, implantology, ozone therapy, functional orthodontics and ALF, Invisalign, clinical homeopathy, and nutrition.

She holds professional memberships with the International Academy of Biological Dental Medicine (IABDM), International Academy of Oral Medical Toxicology (IAOMT), ALF InterFACE, and the American Holistic Dental Association (HDA)California, and San Francisco Dental Associations.

Outside of her dental practice, Dr. Yesin enjoys traveling, visiting farmers markets, spending quality time with her husband and two sons, and cooking.
