Dr. Scott Leinassar comes from a family with a rich history in family health care. With a physician father and two brothers with family dental practices, Dr. Scott always knew he would have a career in healthcare. As a dentist, Dr. Scott enjoys treating his patients with high-quality dentistry. He makes sure his patients receive quality care by frequently attending continuing education and advanced training courses that sharpen his skills and provide him with a wealth of knowledge. Dr. Scott has completed courses in current endodontic concepts at Buchanan, current dental materials, technique and practice concepts from CRA, CEREC dentistry, and Invisalign. He has also completed general restorative and occlusion training with the Spears Education Institute and Smile Design training with the Las Vegas Institute. He is certified in laser dentistry.

Dr. Scott completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Nevada in 1979. He then earned his doctoral degree in 1984 at Oregon Health Sciences University. On April 1st, 1985, he opened his private practice, Smith Valley Smiles. Today, Dr. Scott is an active member of the Nevada Dental Association, the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Northern Nevada Dental Society.
