Dr. L. John K. VanHorn thrives in busy environments and feels at home at his practice, Northern Nevada Family Dental. His goal each day is to provide high-quality, efficient, and comfortable dental care. He takes the time to ensure that his patients receive the best care possible. His patient-centered approach puts their health and comfort above all else. Dr. VanHorn works alongside his patients to determine the best treatment options for them and helps educate them on their oral health situation so that they can better understand it and prevent future issues. After all, dental health plays a major role in full body health, so maintaining it is key to living a healthy life.

Dr. VanHorn attended Reed High School and then went on to the University of Nevada where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology and his master’s degree in biochemistry. He graduated with distinction. He completed his dental education at the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in 2006. Since then, he has been a practicing family dentist in Northern Nevada.
